Nicko, Excellent video and information.. A lot I did not know about truffles. But then again, I have never tasted and can't afford. Would love to! A dream. Thanks for sharing.. :)
Really lovely that you are showing these videos. They also show that even on the other side of the world, we have great produce & clever growers. Thanks Rob:).
Very interesting Rob. I've never tried truffles and I know they're expensive to buy as truffle oil but I do want to try it. Apparently a little in mac n cheese taste fantastic
unicusDOTcom That's fine I just would like to see it marked as paid advertisement at the begining. I though Nicko was going truffle hunting at first so got a bit annoyed when it was just an add.
I really love these videos and I don't if this is ad for these farms or if he gets money, we all love food and finding out more about the unique farms that are out there is awesome.
Truffles are a fungus... But very potent.. They go very well with cooked eggs, potatoes, and veg.. Finely sliced on pasta.. Or risotto.. Teamed up with meats like beef and and venison.. The flavour is distinct..I'd describe just one aspect of its flavour as if you could meld blue cheese and garlic.. Truffle oil is also awesome generously tossed into some roasted potatoes.. Love love love it! (A good place to start if you've never tasted it)
It's great that the kind of people Nicks Kitchen brings together in the comments aren't the kind of trolls, most peoples comments are full of trolls but these videos are nice and full of nice comments
Just thought I'd say that you were great last night! It was great seeing you in person, etc. Just wish I got the cakes. :P I know you're on the plane right now. But it was great seeing you live!
Hey. I'm a big fan but I just have one request that you could start doing for cooking videos rather than these types of videos like this one and the apple one and stuff? Thanks
first time i tried it ..i hated it ...but now a few years later i loves it ...it is kind of weird it is a hole mouth flavor and it even strike your nose ...a bit garlic ,mold ,soil flavor with a sweet touch
I believe they are great shaved over egg dishes, pasta and salads. They are expensive so I guess the cheapest way to try would be in truffle infused oil. They are a fungus so might taste like mushroom but I really don't know.
Neo JW possibly you are right because I did have truffle oil once in a dish and I could not taste a thing, I was waiting for this orgasmic experience and nothing nothing
best type of truffle is Arabian desert truffle , it comes in different types and colors from white to sand color , in different sizes from baseball size and sometimes it get as big as football size, it taste better than the black truffle , it taste like a meat or a mushroom with a butter texture and it comes only in rainy season in winter .

Have you started doing commercials?
i dont think these people need advertising on youtube. I like these videos maybe even more than cooking videos.
He gets paid for his videos from his Tastemade Network, if he is making money on the side, thats good business.
