Hang on! After hearing all this, a crazy question, do we love Ashoka so much because she is the same as Qui-gon Jinn? Crazy I know, but hang on! She is not a Jedi, but she follows the path and will of the Force? She does what she believes is right not what the Jedi Code would demand. She helps when she believes she is needed and excepts there are things she shouldn't do even if she could. This is just how Qui-gon Jinn was!
I think Ahsoka and Qui-Gon are two people who moved against the very flawed Jedi order. And they were both closer to what true Jedi should be than the Jedi on the High Council.
It's a shame she's got no personality, among the many other problems, in her live action series. The flashbacks to the clone wars were my favourite parts of Ahsoka.
