Organizing in totes …I really want to see what you put together ….I have a booth and do flipping of small items …I struggle organizing all my little items… from the rusty bolts, door knobs, keys, faucet handles,door plates and then there is the tiny tart pans, kitchen utensils, old cookie cutters, salt shakers, tiny critters, bottle brush trees, bells ….I have it all but struggle finding my items when I am creating … My mantra is “I know I have it but don’t know where it is “ 🤪. HELP Yvonne !!! I need ORGANIZATION THERAPY!!

That clock is amazing! I don’t know if it’s Steampunk or not, but it is so amazing. I love the little cabinet with the rooster/chicken on it. For some reason it reminds me of the nursery rhyme about the blackbirds baked in a pie. So, I thought if I was making it over for myself, I’d put a wooden blackbird on it.
Yvonne, ... I laugh every time you say your shop is still a "hot mess." I keep thinking "Ohhhhhh, honey. You have no idea what a hot mess IS." I live on a farm and there are 3 "shops" and I bet there's stuff in there that hasn't been seen for 35 years!!
Hey, y'all are doing great on the house, the shop, and doing make overs, take your time. This is your forever home so you have plenty of time to make it all into what y'all envision it to be. Well, I'm assuming it's the forever of y'alls dream, but none of know us what the future holds. Anyway... No pressure, no stress. I think all your subbies will agree, we are here to enjoy the journey with y'all. I think the basket your friend brought was possibly an old sewing basket. My Oma had one, bigger, but similar to it. We have collected clocks for years, this clock never had sides, it appears you have metal gears, some of the early ones had wooden gears, the insides so beautiful that sometimes my husband removes the “bonnet” just to see the gears. The weights are all “wrong” but work due to weight. The bonnet face looks like some enterprising soul painted it. The ones we have all have flowers, but some have scenes.
Fun video. Wow your friend was very generous. The glasses are very cool. House and shop will each have their own flow but it takes time to learn or figure it out. I read an article from a designer that said that very thing, “ live in the place, see how your life goes each day, determine the flow and that will guide your placement of your items.” It’s going to come together beautifully.😊❤
I think you've both done an amazing job in both the house and workshop in what has been a very short time when you work as well I hope you give yourselves time to relax as well it will all come together in time 😊❤

I think your shop looks great. I like how Chris hangs his boxes. Everything looks organized to me. But I understand there’s more that needs to be done. I’m just happy for you both that you have this large space to work in. That clock is so unique. Who cares if it doesn’t work it’s seeing all the mechanisms the cool chains with the weights. Rome wasn’t built in a day lol. We are still on a 3 year rehabilitation journey with our home. A true fixer upper that sat empty for 5 years. Love the clock!!! And oh the cleat system is so clever ❤
The clock is really different and striking. Chris's cleat system is so cool and organized. Loved the haul. My mother used to use antique glasses in display like you did . She was an oil paint artist and would use them to set up still life paintings.

The French cleat system is awesome. Really nice way to organize tools. I agree, it does take time to figure out the flow when organizing a work area. And, even afterwards I sometimes have to tweak it! Nice video!😊

Your clock is the internal guts of an early 1800s grandfather clock. I have one very similar to it. Face would’ve been visible through a glass window at the top of the grandfather case. The weights are probably not window weights but look authentic based on mine. It’s beautiful.
Great video, I been where I am for almost 4 years and still not all unpacked or have things the way I want. Health issues have slowed me down but I just keep plugging along. Loved your faces as you were hanging the clock....lol

My mom had a coocoo clock. Her's had cast iron pine cones. Your clock's weights look like window weights. It's hard to tell without the frame but where would the coocoo go? But I do love the basics of it and that you can see inside. I loved your video. It's good to see Chris getting his French cleats set up. It's coming together.❤ Your thrift finds are so cool! I’m going on over a year and no room is complete. Just now have my temporary studio set up cause I have to get back to work. Hung the first picture today. Gotta buy an outdoor storage shed so I’m jealous of your beautiful spaces. ♥️
I think my cats would swat at the weights on the clock when they walked by!😹They might be surprised by how much they actually weigh. Those bookcases are amazing! You certainly made a wise decision when you purchased them. Y’all are incredible!
