    Okay I'm not Australian, but a tim tam slam has always been the corner bites and drinking a very warm drink. Like hot milk or coffee/chai. Then as soon as the liquid gets into your mouth you quickly slam them into your mouth cause it's melting/getting soggy and it's so good. I never eat them any other way

    • @imaytag
      @imaytag Год назад +2

      Seriously, they talked in a previous episode about how they thought Tim Tams were not great so when they mentioned the slam I thought they'd finally get it. I haven't tried it with tea but it doesn't sound like a great combo to me, I think coffee is the typical drink but I do it with hot chocolate. And they didn't really even do it right. Joey didn't seem to know what a slam even was. Admittedly, I'm Canadian so maybe what I was taught isn't accurate but I find it hard to believe that it just means to slam the biscuit into your drink...
      I was taught the same method as you and that wikihow article. I just take a small bite out of the center of each end (I find doing the corners makes it a bit harder), put one end in my mouth before lowering it into the drink, and as soon as the liquid gets through the Tim Tam into my mouth I slurp up the biscuit and eat it, no need to use your hands once you've got some practice. It's really good. I'm sad they don't get to at least try it properly...

      @@imaytag yep. I don't know how garnt fucked it up. Joey literally said right before you have to put it right away in. I've never taken big bites like Joey, I would always do corners but just enough to break the biscuit and coating.
      I could see the center being an option, but I think I'd bite it too much.
      Yeah anything with dairy, I wouldn't do tea only. But chai is usually milk incorporated.
      Yeah and I saw Sydney say she'd not do it or do it again on Twitter. But I think she was lied to. On the geex plus panel. Idk.
      I just think it's so neat and unique and I don't think you can do it with any other biscuit/cookie.
      Some have said they never do it cause it's messy. From the twitter replies to one of their post. I just find that hard to believe.
      Yeah an Australian told me about it and linked me to a RUclips video and this was around 2008.

    I actually knew the Camel thing from Uni where I had a course on invasive species.
    The thing is, apparently Camels were imported to Australia first from Saudi Arabia, so help as pack animals in building railroads. Then after they were done, the Camels were just released into the wild, where they just formed a population that lives on today.
    Now because Saudi Arabia bred racing Camels for such a long time, their genepool is kinda limited and they seem to get inbreeding effects and so on. There aren't any wild/unowned Camles there anymore, so they import the animals from Australia, to bring in fresh blood and also benefit from the toughness of the wild ones.

    The ingredients contain cochineal - a type of food colouring that comes from South American insects and has been known to provoke severe allergic reactions. - From DailyMail article.

    Funfact: all australian snakes are so venomous they don't need huge fangs or the other way round they needed potent venom because of their lack of fangs. Point being a pair of pants can stop any snakebite by an australian one.

    • @barongrimoire9043
      @barongrimoire9043 Год назад +2

      Okay one, not all Aussie snakes are venomous, we also have pythons that have no venom but kill by constriction. Two, thin pants will only help with small snakes. Don’t go thinking you’re safe just because you’ve got any pair of pants. Really though just leave the snake alone. Humans are normally too big to be worth going after as food so a long as you don’t fuck with the snake they won’t fuck with you
