18 hours to go but I wanted to like and comment ahead of time 😁. I'm off work tomorrow and very much looking forward to hearing and chatting with everyone 🫶
Just wanted to let you know you’re amazing and your narrations are the best! I’m a Machinist and your stories help me get through some long long work days. So thank you for that!
ahhh I've never been this early to a story!! I am so excited! Love this channel and the host is amazing, great voice, great stories, love the humor. All around wins!
It's not a myth. It really used to be a thing. It changed around 2003, when Amber Alerts became a thing. It was slowly changing in the 90s, but wasn't standardized until 2003. My stepdaughter liked to "run away" (take off as she pleased without telling anyone, then come home when she pleased) back in 2000. Usually it was because she was told to do her homework, wash the dishes, or just gather (not even do) her laundry. Definitely if we ever told her "no" to anything. The police wouldn't even allow us to create a report for at least 48 hours. This was in a Metro Area city in Minnesota. Her bio-mom lived in rural MN, and had the same issue even after the US National Amber Alert rules went into effect. I know this effected anyone older than 1st grade. The AMBER Alert system (and those like it) was created in response to a 9yo named Amber, who's mom wasn't allowed to report her missing for 48 hours in 1996, and it cost the ultimate price. I 🤣🤣🤣 when I see this called a "myth". Just because it hasn't been this way for about 20 years, doesn't mean it wasn't a thing before that. Anything post 2003 is a myth, misconception, or blatant disregard for police protocol. Google seems to think the world didn't exist prior to 2003, regarding this matter. 🤦♀️
Sounds like a neighborhood I'd be interested in... Awesome to hear you have tomorrow off, Kim!! Hope to see you in the live stream!!!! Night everyone! Thank you, Jordan!! ✌️❤️✌️❤️✌️❤️✌️❤️✌️
Woot, new story. Still listening to the enormous back log of vids you have. Think I've made it about halfway through cause it's getting hard to find one's I haven't gave a thumbs up too.
I'm a little late to the party here but I have to believe that those in the comments criticizing the protagonist for not immediately believing his wired neighbors, must either be very young or have never lived around hop heads. If he would have unquestionably believed the neighbors, who appeared to be tweaked on something, without question, I would have thought that the story was written by a sophmore in high school and probably turned on something else. Most adults would have reacted the same way. This is why those who write these tales should take the comments with a grain of salt. Overall a good story. It reminded me of those movies from the 60s, 70s and 80s where a town is being taken over by some kind of supernatural or alien presence. Invasion of The Body Snatchers and its many knock offs.
If my wife went missing, showed up without saying anything or calling and didn't seem the least bit sorry, only to end up trying to bite me, refuse to talk afterwards, stalk me while I sleep, then FUCKING HISS AT ME, I'd be staying with my grandma until she had an explanation that made sense and proved beyond a shadow of a doubt that she had her shit together. The woman hissed at him! No laugh, no "just fucking with you", nothing. I guess everyone has their limit.
i agree with you, but only because I have been a constant creepypasta listener for 3 years. Before that, I would just think this is normal women behavior based on my history of picking girlfriends.
👍👍exceptionally incomparable, i really enjoyed this story it was out there and very imaginative. The husband in this story was crazy, i would have left, if it was possible. Thanks Jordan. 😇💖
I love the premise - a colony of grave worms gains sentience, and begins taking over the neighborhood - but damn, this story is annoying. The protagonist is stupid, refusing to believe the obvious answer until his wife sits him down and starts dismembering herself while admitting to no longer being his wife. Even then, he wanted to deny the very obvious issue! If he had two brain cells to rub together, he'd have seen the warning signs. I think the story would have been a lot better if he faced these worms head-on so he could have made an arrangement or at least fought back. But no, he rolls over like a limp noodle!
There's no way I would stay in a neighborhood like that. As soon as I realized that something wasn't right, and as soon as I figured out what was going on; I'd be out of there faster than the Flash!
This is actually a pretty cool story...too bad it doesn't say how they get you but still pretty cool...did they turn the dad or is he just hanging to stay with his family
Oh. Dear. Charlie dum-dum. Also, why not take them all to diner for breakfast and then go shopping? How was the walk that expended more energy on an empty stomach the superior plan !???
Kay I didn't see that one coming. I thought the dead farmers were behind it all. At least the dog got away. But yeah I totally blame the protagonist for not getting his kids tf out of there when his wife was acting violent and psychotic. She probably acted like that to scare him into getting the kids and running. The dog warned him, the neighbours warned him, his infected wife even warned him the best she could, and he just ignored it. I just find it hard to understand how anyone could stay oblivious for that long. I think he threw the rock at Charlie to warn him to stay away.

I'm not a father but the fact he had to convince himself that his children were fine bothers me. He obviously cared more for the dog. He and Charlie should've jetted and started a new life.
Man's best friend is his dog
Great job! I absolutely loved this one. Surprised that no one has drawn the connecting lines of HOA evils...
😂😂
I'm less than a quarter in and I'm thinking, Ohh Poor Charlie. 😢
I'm so worried about the dog that I'm having trouble enjoying the story.

You added the final bit of horror at the end: the HOA.

Reminds me a bit of a Canadian reverse Pet Sematary:
"The soil of a man's heart is stonier: a man grows what he can and tends it."
Why are
Creepypasta protagonists so stupid?
The neighbors told him not to leave family members alone with people acting weird.
Yeah even without the supernatural stuff. If my new neighbor tells me it’s dangerous outside at night. Then we staying inside at night.
I swear I was about to say the exact same thing, really though, wtf dude. I made it to 37.53 before you couldn't take anymore of the stupidity. I've seen smarter jeepers creepers victims
Makes me craaazy!!😂
Agreed. He doesn't tell his wife about the strange conversation, which I would have, AND then let's her go out alone at night 🙄
Exactly drives me crazy how dumb they are
Thank you Jordan and Travis for the great narration and story!! I loved it!!!

Such a joy to listen to ❤ Great story & narration !
As the worms turned.
Kudos to the narrator and author 🎉🎉
16:30 lol it's an A-T A-T. It's like a giant mechanical dog or polar bear the size of a large building.. with lasers and stuff 😛
Finally a writer that knows the 24 hour wait for missing persons is a myth…

Hi Mark ‼️👋
This was awesome. Thanks for sharing this with us. BUT... Invasion of the body snatchers?

Yeah... nightmare fuel. I'll be paying close attention to family and friends for a little while now.
Not everyone is meant to be a dad
you for sure would NOT do better
I'm home I've bought poptarts and a speeding ticket. 😂
I took my dog with me... because i loved it more than my kids.
Let's be honest, that's what he was thinking. ;)
Yup!
No human is capable of unconditional love. But ... 🐶🐶🐶 for me & 😺😺😺 for many (etc ..) are 💯

Well now I will not be looking at the house in stone Brooke where I am. Literally had a viewing Friday. Nope nope nope

Creepy stories would be a lot shorter if people heeded warnings and and behaved cautiously when something bothered them.
