Getting all that done is one thing, but keeping it such that it comes apart into modules properly is something else again, Congrats on getting that all done!

Yes, making provision for disassembly is by far the hardest part, and also the number-one thing that keeps me awake at night thinking of solutions.

Model trains should be easy, yeah right. Miniatures have many problems to work out same as the big ones. I enjoy watching you work out the details and it makes for a very informative vid. Keep it up! :)

Probably just as many problems to overcome, but they are different ones.

Dear Peter, very interesting how you’ve shown the different problems you encountered with this transition from the top of the helix into the yard.
Definitely understand the complexity of the situation, humbly think it’s where the thoughts of a 2D plan meet the restrictions of the 3D.
Nevertheless, love the simplicity of the way you solved the problem, even though the footage from your video make it seem rather involved.
    Cheerio

If I didn't show the problems and how to overcome them, the video wouldn't be as useful. Also, skipping the pitfalls and just showing the easy stuff would be doing my viewers a disservice.

We have a contractor named Dave who we use to do projects around the house that are beyond my skill set.
Once my wife saw me standing in the basement trying to figure how to go about a tricky shelving project and quipped, “What would Dave do?”
So now whenever I’m stumped working on my layout I always think “what would Peter do?”
I’m guessing Peter would do better than me in almost every instance.

I also have a pet phrase mentioning a guy named Dave. He was completely useless, so now the phrase to "Dave" something, means to totally foul it up beyond recovery.

Looking forward to the move, installation and the completed railroad running (I understand the RR is already installed).

Nope. That's the neighbor clearing trees to build a house.

Wow!!! I'm impressed. What's the price range to construct a similar sized layout?

I don't discuss finances on this open forum. If you are in the market for a custom layout build, please contact me privately through my web-site.
