Great idea! Bet they could also work behind furniture or appliances for catching dust bunnies & other trash.
For those of us who in hurricane alley, we always fill our emergency supplies with plastic utensils, paper plates, paper towels, and plastic cups cuz after a hurricane the water is usually not safe to drink or cook with and the last thing anyone wants to do is boil water outside when it feels like a hundred degrees and humid as hell
I took one of those little prepackaged first aid kit and put it into one of those plastic gum containers that Extra gum sells and put it in my purse

My Dollar general still has $5 off of a $25 purchase with the coupon. So I'm fortunate enough to have a Dollar general close. I will go in sometime during the week if I don't already have a receipt and buy a single item. That then gives me the coupon to go back on Saturday and literally get five items free when I buy the $20 worth. Just a suggestion... But it sure works for me. And as a senior on a very tight budget it makes a great deal of difference. Blessings to all from Central Florida
@@lolareh8756 you can also sign up online and then they have all kind of coupons you can add also the 5 off 25 all you have to do in put in your phone number at check out, that way you wouldnt have to go in and buy anything to get the coupon, hope this helps
I really like your stock up from the dollar general gives me some idea of a few places I need to plug-in things. Especially the plastic spoons! I use them all the time and I stocked up before dollar tree became $1.25. But seeing that they’re at the Dollar General for a dollar I think I need to stock up again! Thank you very much.

I started purchasing pool shock instead of bleach. I reconstitute it by the gallon and a small package will make equal to 3 gallons of bleach

At a local grocery store today I got corn green beans and peas 43 cents a can could only get 10 cans of each so I waited a couple of hours later and got the limit again. Bonus

I always learn or get reminded of something when I watch these videos. I can't get dehydrated 'hash brown' potatoes where I am in Australia and only have instant mash potatoes in my emergency packs, I completely forgot about canned potatoes, thankyou for the great idea!
Don't forget to use your digital coupons when shopping at Dollar General. This week they have one to use during the week and combine with other digitals for huge savings.

What a great haul for $20, Jinne! Thanks for sharing! Makes me want to take a trip to DG soon. I also love their pack of 40 paper plates for $1. I usually buy 5 packs (that's 200 paper plates for $6.25). Of course, they are not super strong, but they serve their purpose and are very economical!

You can't sleep on that dollar aisle at the DG.
The notebooks are a great idea for an emergency. In that kind of situation you will have a hard time focusing and remembering things. Wonderful items you got.
Great haul. I’ve never made the hash browns before but I want to try.
I just tried them. They are so good. Put hot water in then wait 12 minutes. Fry up very well.

I love those little composition books. Takes me back to my Journaling days. I used to fill a full sized composition book a week bc all I did was write and Muse on my own feelings about anything from the death sentence, to the trans community.

I was at our Dollar General here in Gatlinburg today and I noticed some of the products even there are cheaper than the Dollar tree now I got quite a good deal on quite a few things
I shopped at DG yesterday. I was somewhat shocked at how many products have had the price raised. That said, I cruised the clearance table (50% off) at the front entrance & found some of those little push/tap lights. They were marked down to .90 cents, so another 50% would come off at the register. To my surprise, instead of being .45 cents, they rang up .30 cents! I got the last 4 that were left on the table. $1.20 for 4 tap lights, even though they didn’t come with batteries was an awesome price. I cruised the clearance aisle, finding nothing interesting, then went to the $1 aisle. The only thing I found there was 1 carton of the Hungry Jack potatoes. I think they were dumped there by a customer. After that, I went to the products that I actually came to get. Overall, a rather disappointing shopping run. Oh well!

Talking about tooth care get yourself a bottle of clove oil for tooth pain..I had a very bad cavity used this took the pain away I guess they used to use it in the old days but it last forever and it's worth having in a grid down situation
You can also infuse your own oil with the clove and coconut oil, it will work just as well and then you have the extra benefits of the antibacterial components of the coconut oil.👍🏼
OOH, OOH, I have to tell you something!!! You have said several times that having multi-use materials is important. Well, my rocker/recliner broke. It broke at an angle that was very uncomfortable. I have a new one coming but won't be here for 1 week. So, I decided to try to find the problem myself. I turned the chair upside down and saw a bunch of metal rods etc. Very intimidating. Then I decided to look at each one and compare sides like I have always done with my patients...I would compare the "sore" wrist with the uninjured one etc. Well, by doing that I found a piece of metal bar that had snapped right off. Long story short, I temporarily fixed it with duct tape and string. It will do until my new chair gets here. What a win!!!!!

Dollar General has better deals than Dollar Tree. Your losing a dollar every 5 items when you buy at Dollar Tree. Your haul at DG was better than DT.
