+Seth's Bike Hacks looks like fun though the local bmx riders would look @ you & wonder why your'e riding an mtb there, i found your channel last week too & i'm enjoying seeing u ride as well as learning from you as well as i haven't been riding for 20 + years & recently bought 2 bikes (2000 model giant mtb & 80's tange framed roadie i'mnow on the wrong side of 40,keep up the good work seth, cheers from melbourne australia :)
Beautiful stabilized shots and amazing skill... This really makes me wanna take my MTB to the park and shred. Just wished I did more BMX as a kid! Just found this channel, like many others it seems, and think it's pretty awesome. Keep up the great content! Ride safe bud, some of those slams were gnarly. =P
I’m 11 and I’m starting to compete with my BMX bike!! I’m glad I’m starting early so I can have the experience at a young age, and I can improve as I grow up! This was a little random but I just wanted to say it because of this comment! 😙✌️
I thought you had that 450 out of the ramp onto vert. I honestly clicked on this to see if what skatepark MTB video I could make. Then I couldn't stop watching LOL
A great way to practice all the techniques you use on the trail is to go to a pump track. Practicing big jumps, pumping, and cornering have made me faster.
Dope video. I'm a former downhill racer that's been watching a ton of bmx vids recently. This totally makes me want to take the dirt jumper to the local skate park.
2 years ago I almost went down a 6-foot halfpipe and I ended up bailing on that and instead of going down the six-footer I went down the 3-foot ramp instead. My mountain bike has 29 inch rims and when I tried going down it I ended up flipping twice and I cracked my helmet in an L shape. I'm glad it was in my head but I gave me permanent damage to my shoulders and on my upper right shoulder I don't feel any pain or any feeling at all to this day after that happened. So yes you can go to the skatepark but if you don't know what you're doing it might not be the best idea. Trial and error baby start out slow before going big like I did instead of going slow I just went big.
Love your videos, a subscriber from today. Love that you ride "cheap" stuff compared to what everyone else is riding. I would never have thought that a cheap/budget upgraded Trek would handle this kind of riding. I have a sugestion for a video competition or something, as you have a special style of riding. I'm thinking of a game of BIKE, where you challange your viewers of doing your stuff. Winner gets some greetings or a minimal prize. Would be fun :)
+skorp86 I've been trying to figure out a way to play BIKE somehow on the trails. Your comment has made me think about this again. I'm not sure doing it remotely with subscribers would be easy to do, and it would especially be hard to keep it fair----because editing. I would't be too good at a BMX game of bike, but if I could find some real good mountain bikers around here and a pile of works I think we could do a MTB version!
+Seth's Bike Hacks Thanks for the answer! As i said, the prize should be fame from you or some small prize that's not worth cheating for. The game could be something else than BIKE. Where you do 4-5 abit challinging tricks/lines, and link to your howto vids and explain quick what you are doing. Then anyone who wants to enter your competition has 2-4 weeks to copy and learn your tricks, and maybe challenge you with one line/trick back. I'm not sure, just writing down my thoughts here. I find your riding unique and i think alot of viewers would get a kick in the ass to get out riding and trying the stuff you teach if you had a comp like this.
+Jordan Keeler I didn't mean I want him to buy one, juste borrow it to one of his riding mate maybe. I'm sure it would do a sick video. I live in Belgium wich is a particularly flat country and my daily bike is an enduro, I enjoy riding it anyway! ;)
If you ever make a trip to Tallahassee for Tom Brown hit me up for a trials cruise! I mostly ride trials so it would be cool to meet up with someone else that does finally haha
Can't blame you (or really anyone) on the fact that BMX bikes hurt after a while. this was a very different video, certainly not expected! great video, shot very well too!
Thanks... BMX bikes are totally the best tool for the job, but it's nice to think there are other options when your body just can't handle the impact anymore. For now, I'm still on the BMX!
I actually just found a BMX on a pile of junk, fixed it up and started riding it, in the process enjoying the hell out of it, and it seems to have replaced my mountain bike for just riding street most of the time.
Quick question if anyone can help. I have a dirt jumper bmx hybrid and I want to try riding park with STIFF suspension. I have 2 preload knobs ontop of my suspension forks with a (-) and a (+) which way do i turn these to get STIFF suspension?
Do you have any recommendations for a beginner mountain bikes for general riding. I don't want a crappy department store bike, however I don't want to spend very much.
+Seth, just came across your channel and liked your videos, nice work. Im not sure how old you are (im mid 30's) but I was impressed watching this video of you at the skate park on the MTB. I ride regularly mountain bike but was thinking about getting another bike for skate parks or pump tracks. Do you have any recommendations? I was thinking a BMX bike but haven't ridden one since i was a kid really. I noticed there are so many different kinds now with all different wheel sizes.
Surprisingly you can do an abubaca with pretty much any decent brakes as long as you get the right balance point. Disc brakes are powerful, but also prone to getting smashed on coping. BMX bikes that do have brakes use u-brakes.
+Andrei Lanuza Only frames that made of 7900 aluminum snap right away. 6550 (if I'm not wrong) is a softer aluminum and will crack before snapping, as opposed to 7900, which is more brittle.
Seth's Bike Hacks Thanks! Any recommendation on durable but budget-friendly rims? And is a wider rim better especially for trails? I do most of my riding on trails and there are short drop-offs and jumps that just can't be avoided.
Nothing specifically, but you want to look for rims made for trails or freestyle, not cross country. My wheel set is only about $300, and although it needs a truing here and there, it holds up pretty good.
Practice! I used to go out on my BMX every day after school, even in 15 degree weather. Some things scared the hell out of me, and sometimes I would get bloody learning something. Just like piano, programming, writing, singing, or any other skill, it takes time and practice.
You want a nice street/park MTB ? NS Bikes for the win ! Holy 1 or 2 in 24' wheels is awesome, i love it. But if you want a suspension go for a Metropolis ;)
hi seth i love riding bike and i have only been once to the skatepark when is it that you go to the skate park and also. could you make a video on a toys u rus or walmart bmx video and what size wheels do you ride on your bmx answer as fast as you can

"Alright... going for it" - famous last words
Dope video. I'm a former downhill racer that's been watching a ton of bmx vids recently. This totally makes me want to take the dirt jumper to the local skate park.
Did the same today with my MTB.
Poser style! Was getting the feel skatepark.

Nice video.

1:43 the murder machine was born
I do this sometimes on my 29er enduro and its a lot of fun
I really miss seeing the olde' Trek :(
I wonder how many aboobicas a rear brake disc will hold up to.
0:45 that kid's just looking at Seth doing a 3 like "wtf is he doing"

Nice video Seth! Can you do a video showing your skills with a full suspension 160mm enduro bike in the street? it would be so cool!
While I also would love to see that, I doubt Seth would spent over 2 grand on a fully considering the terrain where he lives
+Jordan Keeler I didn't mean I want him to buy one, juste borrow it to one of his riding mate maybe. I'm sure it would do a sick video. I live in Belgium wich is a particularly flat country and my daily bike is an enduro, I enjoy riding it anyway! ;)
that's true, let's keep our fingers crossed then
This could happen though...if someone is crazy enough to lend me their enduro bike for a couple of hours...
0:37 one of the best bails I’ve ever seen
Seth you should make a video with your release 5c at the skatepark
can you do a video on a dirt jumper because im tossing up getting a dirt jumper or hard tail
If you ever make a trip to Tallahassee for Tom Brown hit me up for a trials cruise! I mostly ride trials so it would be cool to meet up with someone else that does finally haha
'full fledged mountain bike' 😅 but you are very good!
Jesus! :D The last one looked painful!
I went to a skate park on a downhill bike after watching this video, it sure turned some heads
Thanks! I always wonder about this. If it's OK for Seth, it's ok for me. Just curious were there any haters, asking not use the MTB?
can you suggest" how to do tricks on a pump track."
You would be awesome on a dirt jumper!
Same with me it felt weird when I went to a skate park with my MTB

whats better a hard tail or a full suspension

Man you make it look soon easy
At 2:04 is that a GT slammer?
I think Seth did more on his Mountain bike then those kids did on their BMX bikes. :p
I think about getting a bmx for tricks and Fyn but I dont know which one i should get. Can you give me some good tings too look for??
Do you have any recommendations for a beginner mountain bikes for general riding. I don't want a crappy department store bike, however I don't want to spend very much.
like your videos bro
thanks!
It's amazing how you walk them through step by step
In the video follows behind it
Where is that skatepark in Miami?
+Seth, just came across your channel and liked your videos, nice work. Im not sure how old you are (im mid 30's) but I was impressed watching this video of you at the skate park on the MTB. I was thinking a BMX bike but haven't ridden one since i was a kid really. I noticed there are so many different kinds now with all different wheel sizes.
How much of an advantage was it to have disc brakes at the skate park? Could you have held that rear-wheel stall with cantis?
Surprisingly you can do an abubaca with pretty much any decent brakes as long as you get the right balance point. Disc brakes are powerful, but also prone to getting smashed on coping. BMX bikes that do have brakes use u-brakes.
WHAT PARK IS THIS IT LOOKS AWESOME
Do you think most entry-level aluminum hardtail mountain bikes can be used for jumps and tricks like that without the frame snapping?
Sure. I would worry about the wheels before the frame on entry level bikes.
+Andrei Lanuza Only frames that made of 7900 aluminum snap right away. 6550 (if I'm not wrong) is a softer aluminum and will crack before snapping, as opposed to 7900, which is more brittle.

What skate park is that? I realize you also live in miami from your videos
Did you have to replace your helmet after that last fall?
Hey Seth, I have a Trek 3500 I been riding for 7 months now. I'm still not able to get a lot of tricks and stunts done. :( Please Advise.
Practice! I used to go out on my BMX every day after school, even in 15 degree weather. Some things scared the hell out of me, and sometimes I would get bloody learning something. Just like piano, programming, writing, singing, or any other skill, it takes time and practice.
Does your bike have tappered post?
How did your derailleur hanger survived all those impacts?
please build an adult size park bike. I need this in my life
Great video as usual Seth. What brand of DJ bike do you recommend for MTB riders who want to improve jumping skills?
Good question... Anyone have any good recommendations? It's been a while...
Great video as always. When are you going to use an e-mtb for your videos and tricks?
Lol thanks... I will probably never ride an e-mtb. I have enough stuff to get me hurt without lithium ion batteries in the mix.
You want a nice street/park MTB ?
NS Bikes for the win ! Holy 1 or 2 in 24' wheels is awesome, i love it. But if you want a suspension go for a Metropolis ;)
hi seth i love riding bike and i have only been once to the skatepark when is it that you go to the skate park and also. could you make a video on a toys u rus or walmart bmx video and what size wheels do you ride on your bmx answer as fast as you can

i wish I have skateparks on my country :(
It's not cheap haha
Seth what is the best full suspension mountain bike for under $600
You mentioned if you ride XC skate park won't help you. What would?
0:39 RUN dunununununununudununununwowowo
Its a song
What tires are you using on your MTB? Nice video, as usually...
thanks! Maxxis Holy Rollers
Just yesterday I rode my mtb at my local skatepark, I ended up break my chain, brakes and snapped multiple spoke
What size frame is your trek 4900

How do you record at those angle so smooth?
dope camera equipment!
so I have my brother $1600 to build a bike for me and he gave me a custom Trek zr9000 frame and some bontrager parts..
good price?
1:47 full suspenion bmx
I have problems with doing a fakie, for me it is just unnatural and eventough I balance my speed decreases too fast and I fall.
Yeah it takes practice. The faster you go the easier it is to balance.
when u falled first time right then i was thinking:omfg how the hell he doesent fall already ?!
What skatepark is that?
watching all berm peak vids
I which city are you living ?
Trek 4900 ?
Riding hard ;)
