hello, a slovene here! this song was inspired by the story of veronika deseniška. she was the first woman in slovenia to be accused of witchcraft, killed by drowning.
I’m listening to this everyday and everytime I listen to this masterpiece it’s like I heard it for the first time. It’s such a magical masterpiece and absolute beauty of a song. @@SR-xt4be Pa meni nije toliko na osobnoj razini bitno, ali ako gledaš pragmatično, onda je jasno kad ljudi ocjene da je ovo natjecanje političke prirode, umjesto glazbene, onda ćemo vidit pad interesa. Neke zemlje su se već povukle, a poglavito južnoeuropske zemlje. S druge strane, drago mi je da ste vi i Slovenci poslali pisme na vašim jezicima, volija bi da smo tako i mi, ali šta ćeš. Mislim da su ljudi ponosniji (domoljublje na n-tu) kad je njihov pobjednik na njihovom jeziku, primjerice Salvador Sobral s pismom na portugalskom (Amar Pelos Dois), ili Molitva. Ja i danas znam tekst Amar Pelos Dois iako ne govorim portugalski. Po meni bi to triba bit barem dio poante Eurovizije. Tako, volija bi da zemlje šalju svoje jezike, ako ne uvik, barem malo češće. Nedavno sam baš namjerno tražija post-yu pisme koje imaju veći broj pregleda nego stanovništva, za HR, BIH i RS i stvarno je nevjerojatno koliko puno takvih pisama možeš nać, recimo S.A.R.S. - Perspektiva ima čini mi se 75M pregleda Tako da ne prihvaćam ideje da naši jezici ne mogu dobro proći, trebamo se bolje reprezentirati. After checking up the meaning of this song and the inspiration of Veronika, the first woman to be convicted for witchcraft in Slovenia, this music video made so much more sense to me. I am hooked, this is pure art🔥 The emotions that represents her feelings, water that reflects her death of being drowned, movements of the dancers being shackled, Veronika crawling and making her way against the burning ashes.. and so on. This is so beautiful, thank you for this masterpiece Raiven. I will root and vote for Slovenia, my favorite this year! Love from 🇸🇪 🇹🇭
The under the radar treatment this girl is getting is so undeserved. One of the most charming, technically perfect and full of culture songs of the year!
30ish songs later and this is still my second place. I'm blown away by it everytime I listen along with so many entries this year, in particular Norway/Slovenia/Portugal/Greece. They are all outstanding entries this year and it's so hard to pick a favourite among them.
Slovenia can I just say you guys have sent an absolutely amazing artist this year. I’m absolutely still infatuated with this song since the day of release. @@jeffrey5125 Well I don't care about results, but Slovenia is far from a powerhouse. Sure some songs are ok, and have its fanbase, but we were never even close to the top, so we are not an ESC powerhouse. Even this song is dramatic but forgettable. There is not much of a melody if you take out the dramatic sound effects.

I love this dark and mystic song, one of my favorites this year, i also love the RRRRAH! parts, sounds like a whitch chant, and it fits so well, because the song is about a woman wrongly convicted of whitchcraft, i think this song deserves high placing, Slovenia and Raiven, good luck.

Okay so i understand absolutely no Slovenian but this song has me hooked. I can't explain it and there is no reason for me to like it as much as i do. I love this song soooooo much. At first I was insecure about this song, that’s why I waited to comment. My first thought were this is more a jury pleaser. Now with all the upbeat songs we have, this is going to stand out. No doubt she will qualify and in the finals this will make the top 5 with juries. My guess would be 7th place in the finals.
