I used HUI twice last week. It was easy to use. The difficult part was finding an available vehicle. Since rental vehicles are hard to get now, the HUI cars are in high demand. Take photos of any damage and upload them before you go. I rented ours from 9 to 5, and it was $115 a day. You have to set up your account a few days ahead of time. They must check your driving record. They request a copy of your Driver's license. HUI works well. I would use it again.
Enjoy your trip here! Parking prices can be pretty steep at hotels, Waikiki, and downtown. Gets better outside of those places but yeah just depends where you are.
Nolan, thanks for using Hui! This was a great video and we enjoyed it all. In regards to Waimea Valley, we've heard to feedback and are working on an update that will enable users to operate the car while completely offline. We're excited to roll it out in the near future and we want you to know that we're hearing you!
Whoa that's awesome thank you so much for your comment! Holy smokes I had no idea you'd ever see this so thanks for watching it! Can't wait to Hui again!
Great video very informative and answered a lot of questions I had. I will be trying this car service for 5 days while I’m in Oahu and I’m a little skeptical considering this is not your traditional car rental place. I Hope my experience is as pleasant as yours was.
I will be staying at the Ilikai Hotel next week. I’ve been trying to find Hui locations close to Ilikai but the search literally only lists one location in Waikiki.
Aww sad! I know there are a ton of spots in kakaako which are close by to ilikai and also there HAS to be a spot at ala moana center which is also close as well. Maybe when it's only showing spots that have cars available at the time of your search?
@@danielaalvarado7181 lol, yeah I think traffic is bad here but we got nothing on LA! The traffic at the time you're leaving is mainly going the opposite direction so you should be fine. Google maps is usually helpful in gauging travel time when it comes to traffic here.
Nolan Hong gotcha! Also do u recommend I check out any other car rental services w good prices? I’m highly considering Hui but I feel like I should have a back up plan 🤔
@@danielaalvarado7181 hui is only good if you need a car temporarily for an activity. But if you're planning on doing a lot of things that need you to drive a lot, it's prolly better that you rent a car. With hui, you are at the mercy of if there are cars available.
I don't know what the rates are now but you can see them on the app before you reserve a vehicle. It was by the amount of time you kept it for and what model you got. But pretty good deal given how convenient it was!
Thank you for shearing your experience. It seems a great deal.when I visit Island, I will check it out!
Hope you get to visit soon!

Yeah I used it last week and I had a real tough time finding a vehicle nearby. 😫
Thanks for sharing! I’m planning a vacation to Hawaii, and it seems like everyone charges $28-$35 a day for parking.

Do you think leaving @7am from waikiki is good if we have a reservation @9am in kualoa?
That's more than enough time. I think you can get there in an hour tbh
Nolan Hong cool thank you! Just a bit nervous because everyone talks about being on “island time” but I live in LA so traffic is nothing new haha
