We did Turo in Sitka and Juneau and had a great experience there too. Much less expensive than excursions, we could go anywhere, and super easy with our daughter’s service dog.
So glad that I saw your report about Turo when you went to Hawaii. I've used them a couple of times when we didn't drive (which we generally do) and it was a great experience. I LOVE how you can search for specific types of cars (like hybrids or EVs). I'd use them again without qualms!
Have used Turo now in 3 different spots in America and have been very happy. Outside of a "420" odor vehicle in NY, they have all been great vehicles. Also, if you have your own auto insurance, don't fall for the forced coverage that Turo does (and rental companies for that matter) - you are covered by your own auto insurance for the vehicles you own.

Sounds dumb, but make sure you like the Turo car you rent. Or at least are familiar. We used Turo and rented a Prius. I didn't realize how much I didn't like driving a hybrid. It was fine . Our mileage was limited too.
Always call you auto insurance company to see if you are covered using Turo vehicles. Our local agent had never heard of Turo. But they checked with district office and they approved and said Turo is approved. No problem.

Turo seems like a great option but sometimes their fees are as much as the rental amount itself from the person.
