They went back and forth a bit with the characters on CTF until S4. It was the same with Winston and Tam. In some episodes, it was clearly them but in others they were different characters.I might be wrong but I don't think either was named on the show until a Hogmanay episode where he and Winston turned up at Jack's on Hogmanay. He was only Winston's pal who J&V didn't like as he was a klepto.
I'd really like to see this on one of those real makeover shows, when the person hates their new decor. Especially the one with that camp jock designer, some of his jobs are hideous.

The actress is Karen Dunbar, another sketch from that show is her as a shop owner. She is the very lonely type who will talk to anyone. In one sketch she is trying to befriend a (8 year old or so) wee lassie the father interrupts by telling his daughter to "step away from the phsyco ladeeee". Since that moment I have always thought of her as the 'physco lady'. Not evryone is in my head though so felt a wee bit explanation was required.
