Google him. Go for it. He was a member of the Portland bowling club. They gave him a writing desk for his wedding, a banjo thermometer as well as a set of commemorative lawn bowls which we donated back to the club.
When I was a kid in Glasgow during the 70s I remember walking past a bowling club and 2 old timers were punching the hell out of each other. And the amazing thing was everybody just stood and watched.
@@reallyryan_ this has nothing to do with still game considering the jack and victor sketches are the ones they spun off, not to mention that they done a still game live show in 1999…
According to all known laws of aviation, there is no way a bee should be able to fly. Its wings are too small to get its fat little body off the ground. The bee, of course, flies anyway because bees don't care what humans think is impossible.

I've only just discovered Still Game in the last couple of years, can't believe that it's never been on in Australia (as far as I know). So I'm watching some of the old sketches from this show. I think Chewin' The Fat might have aired down under?
One of the funniest things I have ever seen was from Chewin The Fat but I have never seen it again :(. I think they were trying to film a scene with this guy but he kept stopping them...something like that anyway.

Oh shut up....
None can express the term 'bastards' like Karen Dunbar!
Rik Mayall delivered a good “bastards” lol
After I watched this as a kid I’ve stuck with one rule all these years
*ALWAYS GO FOR THE BEEF*
Brilliant, watching this in Australia many years later.timeless Scottish humour
This was a masterpiece, no question about it.
I play bowls and this is comedy at its best. Absolutely hilarious. Thanks for uploading.
Paul Riley is *so* believable as a dodgy chef. Uncanny.
I love this clip. Bloody brilliant
My grandfather Robert Beattie played for the Scottish National team a LONG time ago. He would have loved this.

@@andrewbeattieRAB Portland in Troon? Is that not where Foster plays out of?
@@alfiekelly5914 “Troon Portland” is in Troon where Foster plays. “Portland” is in Kilmarnock where my grandfather played. Confusing.
@@andrewbeattieRAB Sorry about that. My mistake. I shall google your grandfather

2:42 - I can guarantee you this happens at some bowling clubs still. Love that scene.
This, the Glaswegian cowboys and taysiders in Space were their best sketches
jemimallah £24.80 🤣🤣
Loved watching these skits about the bowling team
Mark Cox is just Tam in this
Man's a legend
"Why don't ye hauv some peas there!"
"There a coupla peas" 😂😂
"That's enough okay! Keep your shaggin fight for the shaggin green! I'm not having this in my club house! Bastards!"

Brilliant sketch this one of the best they did 👏👏👌😂😂
This is exactly how bowling clubs work in Scotland, they have a pissing contest over nothing...🤣🤣🤣
4:47: The size of that wee trophy! Hahahahaha!
The Finnieston bowlers have got Jordanhill School badges on their blazers!!
This should have been a spin off
Its funny how I'm struggling to not see them as their Still Game characters now XD
Paul Riley's a classic here.
Aw Keith THAT FISH!!!
Karen Dunbar's delivery is class 😂😂😂
Think it kiech no Keith
“...fanny.”
“...arsehole.”
hahahahaha XD
Best sketch ever.
Brilliant! Wee Scotland, just love it!
It's a wonder that lassie never got a part in Still Game, fit right in next tae Isa, ya bassa.
She didn’t want it. Karen Dunbar hated being famous
This shoulda been

well written well acted just the best lol
4:30 just the way he slides into frame
Comedy fucking gold I have no doubt this goes on in bowling clubs up and down the country 😂
My posh relatives lived in Mosspark.

The best comedy is relatable comedy but this being Glesga it could be a real documentary lol
Blessed are the peacemakers
They got Winston to do their cooking? No wonder half them fell ill
He proberly helped Vince Gallagher poison half the Clyde

Karen Dunbar is terrific in this scene 😅
Danny said: 'Am aw right... a hid the beef.' Which means he knew it was the fish...how could he have known that...unless....

Good Bowling as well.
Bad bout a bells palsy
Its like a Rangers vs Celtic but only bowling 😂😂

Why was this woman not in Still Game? She was in most of the Chewin the Fat skits.
She had her own show.
so weird to see them as different characters
Thats 24 fur Fish nd 24 fur the Beef right.
Jeez that fish looks iffy.
Rap that whos chef in here... OOT!
Arse!
This is basically still game if Jack and Victor were enemies.
Brilliant.
Unreal man 😂😂😂
they've changed danny's surname from watson to macintyre
I'm wondering if Greg is ambidextrous. Victor is right handed but Danny on this clip when he's bowling is very smooth and skilled with the left hand.
