What’s so cool about Mr Gimmick is it’s a solid platformer which gives you this overpowered, almost gamebreaking star tool/weapon however the star is so difficult to master that it’s only overpowered in the hands of someone who’s already mastered the overall game anyway
It’s like starting you out with a super weapon or invisibility cloak but you won’t ever figure out how to effectively wield it until beating the game over and over

This is the most impressive NES game I've ever seen. Incredible graphics and sound. Unique bosses for every stage. CONVEYER BELT SLOPES HOLDING MOVING PLATFORMS MOVING IN AND OUT OF WATER!! HOW?? THEY EVEN HAVE THE FONT FOR THE CREDITS BE ANTI-ALIASED, IN A NES GAME!!! WHAAAAAA

Even then, this game was made just to be really fuckin’ good, and it is
Milking the game with sequels would break the entire point of the game being mostly a sunsoft passion project

02:48 you should not to kill this pterodactyl and fly on it to the left, then jump on the coconuts on every od the four palms seen at 02:41.
When you jump on the coconuts on the most righthand palm (it is the fourth and final palm), the power-up (bomb in potion) will fall off these coconuts and you can catch this power-up
Then you can jump on the pink swimming Dino, jump on the flying brown pterodactyl, fly to the left and jump on the third palm, collecy the power-up.
Then you can jump on the pink swimming Dino and repeta the process to catch the power-ups from the second palm and from the first palm.
