I'm very much looking forward to early access. It's amazing to think I've waited 10 years to play without staggered interruptions. Wipes are fine and understandable. It's amazing.
Hi everyone. I love your content. Keep up the great work. I had a blast playing a solo warrior in Pantheon. December 13th seems like a lifetime away 😢. Have an awesome day.
@Redbeardflynn What are your thoughts on crafting professions in terms of how well do they prepare you for end game content. (I'm guessing not much yet.) Is crafting gear BIS for the current build of the game, or are their dungeons, raids, other content that make crafting feel left behind? Thanks.
I'll start this by saying: I'm not much of a crafter, never have been in any game. BUT, originally I found myself crafting a ton in Pantheon because it was a great way to get gear. They're moving more toward adventuring to get gear for EA. I think the idea is to have a good mix and in the past they've talked about recipes and such from high end things. Joppa also recently mentioned introducing rare material drops from harvesting. So all that said: Right now Crafting is in the process of being nerfed because it was too powerful, it kind of made some of the best gear, or at least the easiest to obtain full sets. And they want more balance and more push toward adventuring gearing.
Looking forward to EA as well, but am rather surprised there's just 6 zones at launch. How many zones did EQ vanilla have? 23:20 I think the social aspect can come back b/c we as people aren't the same as we used to be. Players are more anti-social, comfortable dual boxing, playing solo, and just can't be bothered to play nice with others.
I wouldn't compare any game to EQ1 at launch because 3 zones made up one city (Neriak) for example. It's not quite the same for games now when it comes to zones, they're generally larger and more full than what EQ did when they were limited more technically on what a zone could be and what you could put in it. 6 regions is probably a closer way to say it for Pantheon and the zones themselves are substantially large. Also keep in mind: this is not a launch. Expect bugs, expect wipes, also expect continued growth of content as they add in more things in the weeks and months after launch. If things go well EA pantheon in a year will be much larger than EA pantheon at launch.
About 10 to 13 minutes into your video it seems there was an audio slowdown like you're talking very slow anyone else notice that?..... never mind! I saw my video playback speed was at 75% hahaha
TBH, there's really no such thing as "Early Access". Once a company puts out a game that you buy and play, it's released. The concept needs to go away as it only serves as a branding excuse for unfinished, struggling and/or underfunded games.
unfinished, struggling and underfunded games like...Bg3? Satisfactory? Valheim? Hades 2? EA has been around since 2013 and some truly incredible games have come out of the process, usually from companies that treat it earnestly and listen to player feedback during the process. I get where you're coming from, because there's a lot of slop in EA. But there's a lot of released 1.0 slop, too.
Regions is probably a better way to put it than zones. Currently Pantheon has 3 zones in it, EA adds 3 more, but they're pretty damn big with varied regions within it. They'll also be adding more content through out EA (because its a development phase)
I spent two weeks and didnt even get out of the starter zone which is the smallest of the zones. Even at launch the games going to be bigger then the eastern kingdom continent in wow.
@Redbeardflynn when I heard zones I was thinking of EQ zones. From the way it sounds one zone is going to be comparable to all the Karanas combined. Thats nothing to scoff at.
@a1rh3add yeah very different but even eq you had crazy variability in zones. Like think of one of the Karanas and then sol to temple. Both technically zones 😅
From my experience with the quest system is that they are not worth the time it takes to do them. I'm not saying give more exp if you want your game to take longer to level. But there needs to be satisfying rewards. Either give exp rewards that are worth the time it takes to do them. But do NOT put in chore or kill quests. Item rewards would be better, but again, they MUST be worth the time it takes to do them. Let me give you an example. If you go out and adventure in a group, your main goal is experience. Your secodary goal is loot. If I am questing, then my primary goal is loot/gear and experience would be secondary. So quests should always give better rewards than adventuring. This isn't to say that quests can't be intertwined with adventuring. But they should not be kill quests or something reliant on killing mobs. Maybe there is a certain item you need to retrieve or place you need to go and perform a task to complete your quest.
the big point of failure in pantheon is scripted agro experience which basically railroads every combat scenario and eliminates all player agency. but moving past that, the slower pace of EQ is what made the camp grind gameplay viable... because you have time to talk. fast paced button mash for a 3 hour grind is brutal... slow paced gameplay where you can easily chat and make friends is not. we will see how it turns out, but i'm guessing fast paced + camp gameplay will not be long lived.
What do you mean by scripted aggro experience? And as for the cadence of combat, it's in a pretty good place i think for both camping and roaming gameplay while still allowing socialization because there is downtime. If you're in a group that's fine tuned and chain pulling? We'll yeah you won't talk much 😅
If you look at every sucessful mmo wow ,ff14 they all have a dated charming look. Every game that launches in unreal loks terrible in 5 years and are cash grabs with pay to win at launch. If its pretty you might want to avoid just like real life beauty= trouble.
I generally don't watch anything longer than 30 min, so I didn't watch this (sorry). Having said that, you said in one of your reasonably timed videos that EA is not an "end", but rather a beginning. Well said, sir. I think people, especially new players, need to remember that. Hopefully this will generate some income, because they are still years away.
Haha this is a live stream. Wouldn't expect people to watch the whole thing. But there are timestamps if you specifically want to see the end of the event showing the monsters they spawned
Odd how people who claim to like MMOs, want them to fail. How does a failed MMO help the genre. Just because you don't like or consume a certain product doesn't mean it needs to be wiped from the earth. Grow up
A leveless mmo would be awesome. Just have skills and make them harder to level up and all of your abilities are locked behind certain skill levels and all abilities capabilities should be scaled by your skill levels. Your HP should be static, modified bty race and class and you could even put a Body Development skill in the game that levels easier for certain classes and really slowly for casters. This way everything is gated by how much you use your skills. And there should ONLY bea chance for them to increase when you gain experience using them. So attacking grey mobs(according to skill levels), you get no chance at a raise.
And that would be a game no one would play. People like to see Numbers Go UP there just something about the human Psyche. And you gain nothing from Grey Mobs currently anyways so that a moot point.
You keep the gear you have equipped, but drop what's in bags. To find your corpse there's a few ways: when you die you can do /loc and it gives you a location like map coordinates. If you die in a dungeon, you'll probably be well aware of where you died. Friends can rez you and/or drag your corpse They're working on getting spells in for the necromancer to summon your corpse Full disclosure, I'm not in favor of item drop on death but it is what Pantheon is going with at least right now, though in EA they will be taking feedback.
@Redbeardflynn Okay. I actually dont mind bag drops on death. As long as it isnt gear drops. That would be way too tragic. I have another question. I heard that races are going to have different starting zones. So. If I want to play Dark Myr race on day 1. And my friend wants to play human. How easy will it be for us to find eachother and join up to play together. Without a map. I guess my main concern is that there is no map in game. As far as I know.
There won't be a map, so you'll have to do some exploring lol. What helps is being in the same group, and when you're in the same zone, it has an arrow around the character portrait that shows the direction of where they are. So you will have to explore for yourselves a bit to get to each other's starting area. May take 30-60min id guess depending on luck/deaths lol. But good luck!
5:50 I did this
You're an arse.

This is so exciting, I can't wait for it to release, Thanks Red!
where are you leaving to?
Is your profile picture an ewok with a cat face? That's fantastic.
@@Redbeardflynn indeed :D
@beesod6412 love it!
Can’t wait to setup my binds when comes out
You know.... I get that a lot of people didn't want these graphics, but, I think it looks really good. I like it.
Lol that damn jump scare got me man@
Haha I'm sorry I have no idea why it was so loud. It's normally not. Scared the shit out of me

I FINALLY got an account setup. Went to log in.. and the servers went down today after i logged in. .... 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Haha oh god no, the timing. But they'll be back up!
how does the summoner compare to the dire lord in terms of solo ability? How does the summoner compare to other DPS?
My guess RBF is that the devs gave your pet the name of Loser, for ah hmm, Fun yeah fun that's it man fun. Just a guess mate, see you.

I cant wait for 6 whole zones to explore :/
40 levels in 6 zones sounds terrible.

Only thing I don’t like is you character movement style is. More melee the caster feeling
5:42 LOL

For tools ,acclimation glyphes and cooking pot
Some quests are really useful
So how many "zones" will there be when it launches into EA?
6
Thronefast, Avendyr’s Pass, Halnir Cave, Silent Plains, Eastern Plains, Wild’s End.

As someone who hasn’t really followed this game, I have to say it looks extremely dated…. This is about to just now release??
It's an indie classicly inspired mmo. And it's not releasing: it's going into early access which is continued testing
If you look at every sucessful mmo wow ,ff14 they all have a dated charming look. Every game that launches in unreal loks terrible in 5 years and are cash grabs with pay to win at launch.

Love your Videos, but End of an Era makes no sense
Its the end of seasons and closed testing. Pantheon is going into ea. It's a new chapter for the game

@mattp722 maybe i should make that a timestamp 🤣
This game isn’t dead yet?
so original
never was alive
It's very much alive.
How can you kill a corpse?
