    I have owned the 2015 Honda CRV LX for about a month. It has driven flawlessly. It has been reliable, comfortable, and a nice car to own. The heat has worked fine in 16 degree weather. I have the all wheel drive model. It drove fine on one inch or so of snow we had a few days ago. I think it is an excellent value

    This car will have engine failure if driven in a cold climate and short trips. The engine does not warm up enough and gas will build up in the oil crankcase. The flash point will drop in half and oil levels will rise to dangerous levels. Eventually a catastrophic event will happen and the oil will turn to sludge ruining the engine. This is relevant for the 2015/2016 engine on the CRV.

      It's definitely suited to more warmer climates

    HONDA AWD CRV needs a manual AWD lock mode when VSA is selected to off. No AWD lock mode puts the AWD CRV to a handicap disadvantageous score. In order for the rear wheels to be driven the fronts must slip, and even a slight slip can be enough to turn into a big one. If all four wheels were driven properly then the fronts may not have slipped in the first place. Thus a manual AWD lock mode is essential and Honda should offer this immediately as a firmware upgrade to its AWD CRV 4th gen models from 2013 2014 and 2015. This can be easily be added on the current VSA on/off button (when off is selected the AWD lock mode would be activated up to 40km/hr, then VSA on will turn on).

    The 2016 Hyundai Tucson is the best designed SUV of 2015/2016 being released in the US this summer. Seriously read up on the 2016 Tucson guys. It has the world's most advanced AWD transmission system engineered by Hyundai and Magna Powertrain, the world's largest and most technologically advanced auto parts company.

    Yes there is a vibration, a "bogging" down when you first accelerate from a stop if you don't give it a good amount of gas

    If you want a real AWD transmission and diesel engine on an SUV, buy the 2015 Hyundai Santa Fe or 2016 KIA Sorento. The interior styling in these 2 SUVs are also far better than the 2015 Honda CRV.
    I would avoid Honda or any other Japanese cars for 2015/2016 due to their poor safety records with the faulty Takata airbags which have recently killed 6 people in the US and injured thousands others.

      Gianluca Cannavo This is correct. The Honda CRV's CVT transmission is also terribly unreliable.

      @onathanj 9 лет назад

      +Gianluca Cannavo Haha, yes, If you want trouble and like spending your money on repairs, go for Kia and Hyundai. The overall quality is enormous between low budget cars like Kia and top cars like Honda and Toyota. Kia has a lifespan of only 10 years, I´d say that sais it all.

    Subaru is even safer it was the first to get the best crash test ratings and best all-wheel-drive system and the best prevention A Subaru can stop using the pre-collision breaking and it will stop all the way up to 60 to 70 miles an hour

    The 2016 Hyundai Tucson looks so much more modern and attractive.
    The Honda CR-V looks ugly and boring.
