Honestly, the fault codes are pretty direct to replacing this. They say replace the HC doser valve first, then the HC doser block if that doesn’t fix it. However that’s where the diag stops. I would suggest looking at fuel compensation pressure and if low, spec is 100-110 psi for a ghg17 while under regen, while LPPO (low pressure pump output) was normal less than 150psi approx,replace the high pressure fuel pump flange. If LPPO pressure was high replace the fuel filters. But the diag is pretty good on these engines.
@@dtnamastertech thanks for the reply, my issue is that no codes are showing or any lights :/..what’s happening is that the behind the doser injector the clamp that connects the turbo to bellow at the clamp it’s smoking like it’s really hot
@@dtnamastertech not sure if it’s back pressure from clogged dpf filters or bad clamp? I have changed the doser injector and clamp and metal looking gasket already once
@@angelangeles6183 that really doesn’t seem strange to me. Could something have spilled on it? If I was truly worried I’d connect with diagnostic link and see what the DOC inlet temp and pressures were. Should be around 608 deg f and less than 1.1 psi. I guess you could use a heat gun or temp sensor on the clamp or exhaust pipe, and it should be around 600 deg f, might be a little hotter around 700deg f.
Ghg17 says check for other codes, then inspect for fuel leaks, replace the HC injector and clean the hole, if verification regen shows same code, replace HC doser block.
