    Very generous of you to upload this before the Hobie round mate. Super tough bite, well done on the finish. You’re a great example of a well rounded angler. Seems like the deeper bite was the trend to follow.

      No probs Jamie. In two weeks it'll probably all be different anyway. Thats why we call them Sneaky B4stard Fish. 😂

    Fantastic video Carl! That 38 was a chunk. Well done on yet again another top 10 finish. Good luck in the Hobie comp 👌.

      @@CarlDubois Unfortunately not this Hobie round. Hopefully the Georges if it doesn’t clash with the AFT!

    Great video mate, Those sunburnt bream with blue spots were crazy last year haha
    I'll change my lures over to a deep pattern for the hobie round 😅

      They're fun to catch but can be a heart braker in a comp. And it'll be a surface bite in 300mm of water in two weeks. 🤣

      @CarlDubois that's what I was hoping for haha.
      I was getting my gear ready today as I won't have any time with work over the next week or so and I think a 1/20th Clone Prawn was the heaviest lure I have tied on 🤣

    Hey Carl, thanks for the upload!
    When you moved into that +5m of water, what were you seeing on the sounder that made you want to choose that area?

    • @CarlDubois
      @CarlDubois  7 месяцев назад +1

      No problem. I noticed a few schools of baitfish and larger marks on the sounder. They were moving about though so I had to cruise around a bit.

      Glad you like them and yeah, 6lb leader is what I was using. If the water was really clear, I might drop it to 4lb. See you at the Hobie comp.

    Awesome video, what rod were you using at 6:58 time stamp and also the rod when you threw the vibalicious?
    Cheers

      Thanks Daniel. It's a Gladiator Tackle Psyborg (IMX Nano Graphite 1'3kg 6'8"). It's several years old now but such a beautiful rod to use. Th good news is that some newer models will be in production soon (about 3 months).

    Love your work Mr Dubois, maybe with a run in things might change up a bit on the bite. I miss the coast systems, GC is so boring at times 😂

      Thank you! Surely it's not boring, don't you get Jacks up there?
