Tracks do get dozed for fire suppression (firefighting) but often there's funding for fire recovery after the fire. To repair damage from the fire and firefighting activities. This is usually why lots of tracks get maintenance after a fire. Of course there's general routine maintenance and prescribed burning preparation, but this is less common. As the area has been burnt, it was highly likely to be taking advantage of fire recovery funding to get stuff done.

They grade the tracks before they burn off so the trucks can get around easily. That hill was out of control. You boys need roll cages before something bad happens. Play it safe 🙏🏻
Also if there is a fire over summer.. the trucks can get through quickly to put it out... after the Linton fires incident track access is a high priority
@ yes definitely but you can see the bush has all been burnt off there. When it’s a burn off it doesn’t destroy the trees life a wild fire does as it’s not as hot.
@ yeah it’s not worth the risk. Only takes one mistake on a track like that to end your life. You guys are definitely pushing the limits haha. And I love watching it 👍🏻
I did a fair bit of FAL (fire access line) maintence work a couple of years ago with my current employer. The works were to keep the tracks clear and drivable for emergency services incase of a bush fire.
You’ll find the tracks have been graded due to hazards in that area and to make the tracks easier for the trucks or 4x4s to drive though there, great upload pooly btw Billy goats is also getting graded for this same reason

Those tracks were graded because of the fires and a fair few more in the area. only know since I’m a local but I know they will be back to the way they were in not too long as they never get maintained which is a good thing
Its hard to get the mountains angle, i was almost crawling on hand and feet up a hill near Dargo to hook the winch on a tree. Going back through my photos and the hill looked flat.
