Snowshoeing to Artist Point at Mt. Baker

Snowshoe hike to Mt. Baker’s Artist Point on February 14 and 15, 2023. We hiked in the afternoon of the 14th and then camped in our van overnight. I returned again on the morning of the 15.
The distance of the hike is about 3.2 miles round trip with approximately 800 feet of elevation gain.
We parked in the Heather Meadows parking lot. The Mt. Baker Ski Area does now charge for hikers who park overnight. Even unoccupied cars are subject to the charge. You can learn more about the parking regulations here: www.mtbaker.us/getting-here/o...
There were plenty of paths from previous hikers so navigating was not an issue for us. We did, however, take our GPS mapping app to make sure we would not have a problem finding our way.
