James biggest mistake was never thinking about leaving the country and going somewhere without extradition. Taking the money and his family and truly ghosting was the only sane option but he believed he could have it all and not be held accountable for his actions.
Not true.. he wanted out and wanted to be legit Tasha wouldn’t let him and even if James wanted to leave the country Tasha would never follow and wouldn’t allow it. Ghost wanted to build a legitmate life that’s another reason why he had the affair with Angela, Angela understood him and saw more in him than some drug dealer

She had no street status or connect; it all ran through Ghost and Tommy while his partner would not have been trusted to maintain his relationship with the connect or find a new one. Even if she would’ve kept the money, her cost of living was extravagant and without a legal growing income she still would’ve had to make some adjustments.
Great analysis man, I'm always looking for a breakdown on Ghost. My favorite Ghost moment was when he lead angela to the hotel to arrest Lobos, and then used the sketch from Isabel Ruiz to free Tommy with prejudice. That moment is a prime example of how James is.

He truly, truly needed a strong, fierce, bubbly, sweet sister figure in his life. He needed that stability moreso than a lover only seeing & supporting one side of him. I said the same thing. Franklin is an intellectual mastermind similar to Ghost. I’ve always looked at Franklin as a younger Ghost. I don’t know people always want to compare Franklin to Tariq. I guess it because of age proximity. But Franklin is definitely more Ghost.
Your analysis on this character is not bad. Its surprisingly good. Only problem with it and with most character analysis by RUclipsrs - the actual person the character is based on doesn't look like so sexy. This is the problem. The many men who live these lives, peaky blinders, super secret agents, Italian mobsters, etc, are not gorgeous men, and usually very much older. People automatically give respect to stereotypical attractive ppl just to find out they are not a calculating "james St Patrick", but rather an emotional and irrational wreck. They are more like a patrick Bateman fro American Psycho. Ppl often idealize patrick but he was a mess, didn't know who he was or what he wanted, his only edge was his ability to get away with his mess because ppl didn't pay attention to it, they only looked at his physical and material assets. So I'm watching this analysis of James St Patrick, listening to the words, but thinking about the real life person you're talking about who is physically unattractive, almost monster like. The average looking guy is the Ghost, he has a decent car, lives in a nice building, wears nice clothes. An "attractive" woman may see him and notice him for a second, and when he's gone, her thought of him is gone. However, if he wanted her, he would have her because at the end of the day he is in fact everything you "said" in your analysis.
James is modern day Tommy. I've notice that first time I watch them both doing their things... calculative, masterminds, calm, collected and crazy ruthless when its necessary.
The way the crab fades in when Tommy gets mad at ghost.😂😂😂😂😂. Great comparison tbh. Unfortunately Tasha and Tommy were the crabs that kept Ghost from moving forward. From the first season we knew he wanted out and more.They didn’t like that he was “changing”. Wanted OLD Ghost.
These videos can show u the diff between characters like Ghost and say Franklin Saint. Franklin is not as well rounded a character as Ghost, Hardwick the better actor, and there is just more of everything u want in a compelling character in Ghost as opposed to Franklin
I'm not entirely sure they necessarily would compete with eachother. Men like James and Thomas are all about business and as long as you or anyone else don't interfere with their operations they don't usually pay you no mind. They're both living in different times and have different walks of life. Tommy is in the game-betting, distillery, manufacturing and gun smuggling business. James is in the club and drug dealing business. Some of their operations overlap but in general I'd assume they would look for ways to work together before they'd go to war.
