My daughter tells me that I'm racist, but not in a bad way. Just in a "being born white" way. Now I can get over being offended.
We even argued over the definition of Racism. Mine came from the Webster's dictionary on my bookshelf, she got hers on line.
We had to stop the discussion; she was too upset.

@Camelot House I so wish all these hate-filled, oppressed people would go and live in China or Russia, but from what I have observed, these people who are spewing their social and cultural agenda into other people’s lives, don’t want to live by what they are making others live by; it is just an excuse to pursue criminal activities, or get noticed by the media, or make a lot of money. In addition, many of the hardcore SJW seem to have psychological issues.

I have been saying for years, when I used to live up north, that I do not believe my ancestors suffered and died for me to be free only for me to then spend my life in misery. I was in this cult in highschool. Teachers and friends around me slowly like she said introduced me to ideas until i was full blown into it. Then the pandemic happened and I was in quarantine, my family is very conservative so when i started arguing with my dad he would ask questions or question my beliefs and I would have absolutely no idea what to say back, that’s when i first started to realize. Then the true thing that got me completely out of it was seeing all my friends become they/thems and the reasonings behind it. saying “oh I like to wear cologne so i’m not a girl” like???? it was outrageous and when you questioned them they would get insanely aggressive and defensive. Cut to three years later im fully out of it im central right leaning and i genuinely come to my own conclusions on anything political before listening to others. There is a light at the end of the tunnel!!

Many people wanted to treat me as a victim "oh the poor dear", even a friend telling me how lucky I was because I now had a valid excuse to do any crazy thing I wanted. This was in the early 90s.
I despised this type of thinking, and instead wanted to be seen as a fighter. I never used any circumstance I had been in as an excuse for my short-comings, mistakes or achievements.
I learned that everyone is dealt a hand of cards, some better, some worse, but you choose what to do with that hand and how to place the cards in life. This is called being responsible and accountable for one's choices. Some of the "woke" are people with real problems who keep trying to find way to solve their problems but keep seeing their strategies hijacked by people without serious problems who don't get it then render our ideas/theory meaningless. All the ways I found to describe my situation in the past are now meaningless or worse because they've been "woked". (I've been on disability the whole time, and just want to solve my problems. I still have my hopes pinned on universal design, but kind of expect that to be "woked" and rendered meaningless, or worse, too.)

In the past I could explain I have anxiety if pushed to do so as I always feel ashamed about it and prefer to try and scrape through whatever I have to do. But now the condition has been highjacked by the woke with now even uber successful people identitfying as 'anxious personality' or suffering with depression so that now both terms are increasingly meaningless and not perceived as something that can truly limit your life but as a trendy label to get people to feel sorry for you. As a recent dropout from Portland Oregon woke quacktivist religion, thank you so much for holding this space on the internet. My indoctrination was similar. In 2002 I started college as an art major, first two years at community college level. In that time it was just learning the craft of painting and drawing and sculpture, nothing about SJW stuff. Then transfer to Portland State University in 2004, and then instead of practicing our craft in art classes we spend more time on critique, and endless discussions on what art 'is'. Then I began to notice that the art department was obsessed with two historical figures primarily; Andy Warhol, and Karl Marx. By the time I graduated in 2010 I had been through the wringer of black women's studies, where I learned that I can't suffer because pale and male, and therefore privileged. Thing is, I grew up as the family scapegoat so I never felt privileged in my life. My little brother got everything the same year as me; I had to wait until I was 8 to get a bicycle, last kid in my school year to get one. Brother got a bike when he was 4. My whole childhood after my brother was born was like that. I got hit, he didn't. I got to know our Dad, he didn't and never missed him, only remembers the stepdad. I consider it to be anima possession, a Jungian idea in retrospect, growing bigger as I got older. Heterosexual to the core, not one bit of sexual attraction to anyone but biological females. Yet, taking on a growing sense of victimization that only grew worse through my years in college, and then homelessness that was a direct result of that cult influence. Fear of Republicans, even my parents, believing things about them that were untrue, just fear I got through channels like MSNBC, who frame EVERYTHING as a war on stupid, bigoted, racist, transphobe, etc. idiot Republicans while the spotless Democrats are here to save the day. Then through college the anima possession became complete, as I learned that my maleness and skin tone were to blame for all the bad things in the world. Fear of strong men, even after years of martial arts training was my norm. Fear of anyone taking the Republican side of the American great divide. Fear of my family, fear of white folks, fear of normalcy in any form. Then Portland bicycle cult after college, in my homeless years. Woke meetings to discuss ways to deal with toxic males in our community came to be around 2015. It was then I began to wake up from the woke trap. I was told by some young activist boy that I was incapable of suffering due to my age, race, and gender, so shut the fuck up. Ok. Bye. Then, I had been familiar with trans people for many years, no prejudice other than lack of sexual attraction cause, hetero. Then comes people who don't even try to adopt the ways of the opposite sex; first was a woman telling us to use male pronouns. Then 3-6 males claiming to be women, with man chins, dick and balls, hairy chests and all, no hormones, nothing but a little bit of cross dressing. The old term was transvestite and in my 20's I knew a few, and none of them asked to be taken as actual women. The trans people I knew appeared to my senses as the opposite sex. Then the BLM explosion, which hit Portland harder than anyplace. The crazy was all out to see. Old friends from college telling me I'm transphobic and misogynistic because I perceive differences between men and women. It wasn't until then that channels like this started to appear, and I'm digging the cleaning up of the mess woke Portland has made of my life. Still trying to escape the homeless trap.

I recently listened to a lecture discussing cult mentality and specifically how cults deal with cognitive dissonance in the belief structure. The professor mentioned the most sinister of cults will change the meanings of words to fix these issues people bring up. The example she mentioned was Heavens Gate. When one of their leaders died before they could be transformed to the next level of existence they changed the meaning of death to mean transformation and everyone in the cult had to do it to join her. It then clicked with me when I realized that left is a true cult. @@OliveJuice023 exactly. Robert Jay Lifton wrote about this in his book Thought Reform and the Psychology of Totalism. He lived in and studied communist China, and he was able to detect 8 things that totalist dictatorships (or high control groups/cults) do to brainwash or condition (thought reform) their members/followers. One of the main things they ALL do is what Robert called "loading of the language". It essentially means using thought stopping clichés or changing the definition of words. My cult did this, and the establishment (or the "left") is certainly engaging in this a lot!

They truly prey on those who have very little self esteem and are mentally ill. I believe that is why they try to stop people from improving themselves by making mental illness and obesity "OK" - I was both of those things when I joined them and I worked hard to better myself, I was demonized by them for healing both of those things. I used to weight 300 lbs because of childhood trauma that I had not healed and when I was proud of it I was made fun of and put down as a "healthist" and now that I have self esteem and better mental health, I am straight up called alt-right by former lefty friends.

They incited anger, hatred, division, and ostracizing of all Americans who do not agree with and join them. And finally they & Leftist MSMS have succeeded in creating extreme hatred among Leftists toward a legitimate, and only President that actually fulfilled his promises to us, brought millions of us back together united, as Americans, and stood by the people, even to the point of being framed up by the Left, for something he didn't do, and ostracized by men and women who turned out being wolves in Republican clothing.

If you had a 'problematic ship' or reblogged a set of Pewdiepie, you were open slather. I often say 'people on Tumblr treat fictional characters like real people, and real people like fictional characters.' I'll never forget how the Reylo fandom treated me after I said that non-Jewish people died in the Holocaust. That particularly upset me, because here I was, making beautiful gifsets for them and writing meta. None of that mattered when they decided I was the 'wrong' kind of fan. Tumblr and to a lesser extent, BookTube here, kind of glorify 'drama' and see it as alot of fun to 'roast' people while sipping tea. It's not. Real people get hurt. Tumblrinas love to lecture writers on how 'problematic' they are. It's all about control.

There is a lot of truth to that. I'm a college student who has never bought into this SJW mentality, and questioned it, but it has impacted my experience. I'm someone who naturally wants to get everyone's perspectives, always get to understanding a person to their core. That's where my interest to psychology comes in. However, to "get in" with an SJW on campus, I have to utilize my depression for them to even speak to me. I mean, as a cisgendered straight white male, how else will they accept me as a human being? Mental health struggles of course! It's not something I even realized I had to do at first, but it took me some time to realize it, and it's difficult for me to even want to leave it behind for the sake of understanding people. It's stupid, and I can see how extremely stupid it is, but it does make it harder to get to this point of not being depressed. It's difficult to be allowed to be an open minded person on a college campus, but not impossible. That's what I strive for, and this video really helped me understand their perspective better, and honestly inspire me even more to try and get through to them somehow. I'm not sure how, but I do want to reach them. It really is just sad for all parties involved.

Her first comment is so telling. Those kind of people, they LOOK for things to be offended by.
Now, in the world of modern literary fiction, most publishing houses employ what are called "sensitivity readers." It sounds like a joke, but it's a real thing. And a casual glance at my bookshelf chills me, realizing how few of my absolute heroes would've gotten their books through unscathed.
Every position, the person holding it needs to find ways to justify its existence. This is why the programmers employed by your email company change the format out of nowhere, when no one wanted them to. They have to do SOMETHING, right?
So, these "sensitivity readers," it must be pretty rare when they find nothing objectionable in a book. Some blue-haired grad-school gal with her pronouns in her bio is literally going through your book, your life's work, with a red marker, LOOKING for things to be offended by.
Art cannot survive like that. Every classic book, every writer that was truly brave and innovative, they offended someone.

Baby, It's Cold Outside is a portrayal of a woman wanting to stay and a man providing potential excuses for her to do so. They are being coy.

I love how the "outrage" over the song lasted for a couple news articles over a year ago, but the right is still talking about it like anyone really cares. If you have to make up straw men like this, you don't have a valid point.

Thank you Keri. I never understood why people on the inside behaved like that till you explained the belief system so succinctly. What a precious video.
