Nicely done. I've got the FT-817N in a similar backpack without a frame and have been thinking about an upgrade. I'd like to stuff a battery and a superantenna or at least a roll-up & balun in with it. Interesting to find your channel: Marine, jeeps, ham radio, technology - we have a lot in common
