Tibetan areas. The Tibetans (in Tibet and Sichuan) used to be in a serf society where the lower classes had no land, no animals, Land belongs to the upper class.,and were treated like slaves and sold like property. After the CCP entered Tibet, they were able to live their own lives.

Although the CCP is used to controlling everything, such as religious beliefs (some), the benefits it has brought to the Tibetan people far outweigh the disadvantages. All Tibetans love the CCP except the Tibetan ruling class

Thanks dear Yan for showing us the Litang sky city market and evening dancing party with old young folks, foreigners. You went to the famous horse race festival with Zhouma's guest house family, her brother is a studying monk to reach master of knowledge after 22 years hard study. Camping on grassland where every tent offers free tea and food is amusing. You were fortunate to watch the horse racing from a front row place among local friendly folk. Thanks for sharing this amazing excellent adventure, fans appreciate your hard work self media. God bless and keep you ❤🙏❣️🌺🌞🌻

Embracing tradition with modernity and younger generation not abandoning it, that's the secret of a long lasting civilization. Selective preserving what's valuable and getting rid of what's not. I watched carefully and found that during the race walking, the four hooves of the horse were not lifted off the ground at the same time. This is the same as the race walking in human track and field competitions, where both feet cannot leave the ground at the same time. I didn't expect that horses can also race walk, it's amazing!

The Geshe degree is a highly respected academic title within the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism. It is awarded after many years of rigorous monastic study, focusing on Buddhist philosophy and debate. The title “Geshe” is somewhat equivalent to a doctorate in Buddhist studies and is given to monks who have completed a set curriculum, typically at major Tibetan monastic universities such as Sera, Drepung, or Ganden.
There are several levels of Geshe, which correspond to different grades of scholarship and accomplishment. The time it takes to earn a Geshe degree can range from around fifteen to over twenty years, depending on the level pursued. Here are the different levels:
    1. Geshe Rabjam (དགེ་བཤེས་རབ་འཇམ་)
    • This is considered the “lowest” level of Geshe, although it still requires immense dedication and knowledge. It typically takes around fifteen years of study to achieve this level. The curriculum includes studying the five great treatises, with an emphasis on debate and memorization.
    2. Geshe Lingse (དགེ་བཤེས་གླིང་སྲས་)
    • This is the next higher level of Geshe. The requirements for debate and commentary become more demanding, and it can take an additional two to three years of study beyond the Rabjam level.
    3. Geshe Tsogrampa (དགེ་བཤེས་ཚོགས་རྣམ་)
    • This is a middle-level Geshe degree, indicating that the student has excelled in debate and understanding of the Dharma. Achieving this level can take around eighteen to twenty years of study. Monks at this level are expected to have a deep understanding of Buddhist philosophy.
    4. Geshe Lharampa (དགེ་བཤེས་ལྷ་རམས་པ་)
    • This is the highest level of Geshe and is the most prestigious. It is equivalent to the highest academic degree in Buddhist philosophy. The term “Lharampa” means “superior scholar.” Monks studying for this degree undergo even more intense debate and meditation training. It usually takes over twenty years of study, and those awarded this degree are recognized for their mastery of the five major texts of Buddhist philosophy. They often go on to teach or take on leadership roles within the monastery.
    • After receiving the Lharampa Geshe degree, monks often participate in the “Dharma debate” in Lhasa, which further solidifies their expertise and scholarly reputation.
The study for all Geshe degrees involves rigorous learning of five major philosophical texts:
    1. Prajnaparamita (Perfection of Wisdom)
    2. Madhyamaka (Middle Way Philosophy)
    3. Pramana (Logic and Epistemology)
    4. Abhidharma (Compendium of Knowledge)
    5. Vinaya (Monastic Discipline)
The number of years it takes to complete the Geshe degree can vary based on the monk’s individual dedication, ability, and the monastery they study at. Even after achieving a Geshe degree, many continue their studies or become teachers themselves. The Geshe Lharampa, in particular, is considered an extraordinary accomplishment and places the individual among the most learned in the Tibetan Buddhist community.

Younger lady your video's are wonderful. People everywhere are nice if you treat them that way yourself. At least that's been my experience, especially in Asia.

Its called a 'gaited' horse. They're very popular in the US! Many breeds are gaited such as the Rocky Mountain Horse, Missouri Foxtrotter, Tennessee Walking Horse, Icelandic Horse, Paso Fino etc. Genetically, they ALL got it from Asian horses thousands of years ago (or even from the Americas where horses eveolved even further back in time).
The gait they're doing is called a 'Tolt' in Iceland.
