I love bookstores. There is a peaceful tranquility there. It is quiet and the smell and sound of books are intoxicating. That's why I love your librarian videos. It is great there is so many fun items at the store other than just books. Feeds the imagination Thanks for sharing, your unique perspectives are so fun!! Thanks, as always Mary!!!!!
I like going to bookstores, too. The first time when I went to a bookstore, I like to read the Sonic The Hedgehog comic books, which were in the Archive Volume series, and reading the walkthrough game guide books for games. Anyways, do you like reading Sonic The Hedgehog comics?
"they have coffee over there and their doing something with it" 😂 my fiance hurd that part and started laughing! He's a supervisor of starbucks he said the sound you heard was the coffee machine warming the milk up.. 💕
"All the Light We Cannot See" is an AMAZING WWII historical fiction novel. Alternates P.O.V.s between a blind French girl and a Nazi boy living in Nazi-occupied France (and the time leading up to both of them being involved in the war). I'd recommend it as an audiobook (unless you can read and understand French and German) because there are words and lines/phrases in both French and German. One of my favorite books ever and I've never been into historical fiction or non-fiction.
I will never understand Romance novels either. I either find myself in the true crime section of Barnes and Nobles or the mystery/horror sections. Best books out there.
You have become my favorite ASMR artist. At first, I fell in love with your accent and voice, especially when you pronounce "9." Then I found this video and it blew my mind because I'm a book lover. ASMR + Southern Accent + Book = PERFECTION Thank you for making these videos. Love from Thailand!
Thanks so much for making these videos! They're so relaxing, and I grew up in Texas and I remember some of my teachers sounded just like you, it feels really nostalgic sometimes :)
I went to one of these in Erie, PA, and OMGosh, the Waldenbooks memories were overwhelming in the BEST way - having grown up with my Gram working there. Love this!!!! Can't wait to watch later!!!!! TY!!!!💖💖💖💖
@zephyra Honestly BAM was nice to work for. Customers could get a cup of coffee or coffee drink and walk around and browse books. We would let regulars sit down at the café (I worked in both sections) and as long as they didnt mess up the book we'd let them read new books with no issue. Although at BAM! we have to push magazine subscriptions (they only ask when you have a credit card so if you use cash you're good!) and membership rewards cards. I always gave members free coupons though. You can save 5 off 25, 10 off 50, and 25 off 100.
I’m a romance novel fan, to each her own. Interesting fact, the romance genre has been the primary financial support for the publishing industry allowing publishers to bring to print more “respectable” books-especially during the recession.
Ok that is it. My next trip will be North Carolina. Just to shop. I miss our Books A Million. We just have a Barnes and Noble. NC seems like a great place to visit. Love your videos.
I haven't ever been to the US but the first place to visit when I'm abroad is the nearest decent bookstore. That's why I love your bookstore videos, they're like virtual tours for me. Especially this one because you point out a lot of my favourite authors' books. C.J. Box, Michael Connelly, Karin Slaughter, John Sandford... Probably because you hang out at the mystery shelves a lot more than usual in this video. Thanks for everything!
Sorry Mary I missed your videos I've been in the car all day to my sons college and other schools my phone wasn't working my GBites are all gone love your videos you look pretty Mary love u Mary 💝💝💝💝💝💝😢😢😢😌
I just bought a book of Flannery O'Connor short stories but I wish I had found that copy with the peacock. Pretty! She did write "A Good Man is Hard to Find" and part of the reason I bought the book is I wanted to re-read that story :)
These are my absolute favorite walk thrus of yours..... Yet ironically I have never read a book that wasn't a text book 😒 Either way.... Love everything you do for us 🤗
Oh it would be really cool if you got that how to paint unicorns kit and paint one for us. I love bam, but I've never seen those kits. I usually look for the graphic novels.
26:09 "It was only a hopeless fancy, it pass like an april day. A look and a word and the dreams they stirred, they have stolen my heart away. They say time heals all things, they say you can always forget. But the smiles and the tears across the years, they twist my heartstrings yet." Proletatian song from 1984. I love George Orwell. I'm a big fan.
Not a big Jane Austen fan as well. I read Pride and Prejudice, Persuasion, and one other book I can't remember the title of, but I can't get myself to like her novels. Anyway, this was a fun walkthrough I really enjoyed looking at all those shelves of books!
As someone who shelves at a library I always feel pain whenever I shelf anything by Debbie MacComber or James Patterson. Because they have written SO MANY books. Like James Patterson takes up an entire shelf.
Lol I remember going into a Barnes and Noble once like 7 years ago to get a copy of a Milan Kundera book.....they had NOTHING by him. But an entire aisle dedicated to Twilight..I thought " what's this world coming to??😑"
What’s your favorite genre? I mostly just read YA fantasy/romance, erotica lol 😂, spiritual books, self help books and since I’m a social work major (at 32 :/) books on that topic!
The invisable crystals were there its called selenite its a clear crystal when you moved the box I saw the murkiness of them there used to heal your chakras
You picked up quite a few books I have on my shelves. If you’re looking for recommendations, Fredrick Backman is an author I recently discovered and he is spectacular

I thought the same thing about The Notebook! It always surprises me when people talk about how wonderful that movie is.
I really love going to bookstores, it's so peaceful and relaxing. Great video as always.
I like going to bookstores, too. The first time when I went to a bookstore, I like to read the Sonic The Hedgehog comic books, which were in the Archive Volume series, and reading the walkthrough game guide books for games. Anyways, do you like reading Sonic The Hedgehog comics?
I love wandering around book stores. I could spend hours just getting lost in the books. 📕📗📘📙

Love this!!!! Can't wait to watch later!!!!! TY!!!!💖💖💖💖
I used to work at this BAM! Ugh I see you posting videos around where I live constantly and hope I can someday bump into you!

I’m a romance novel fan, to each her own. Interesting fact, the romance genre has been the primary financial support for the publishing industry allowing publishers to bring to print more “respectable” books-especially during the recession.
I loooove your bookstore walkthrough videos 😍💜
Wow...this is very ASMR inducing. Remember Old Yeller? Best coming home dog story.
Wow. I wanna go just to look in that humor section! That was some cool stuff.
Beautiful bookstore. I love the way you talk.
Ok that is it. My next trip will be North Carolina. Just to shop. I miss our Books A Million. We just have a Barnes and Noble. NC seems like a great place to visit. Love your videos.

I was watching your barnes and noble walk-through the other night wishing you'd make any similar video. I have been blessed 😊
Hope you are doing well
Love your taste in books.
Thank you so much for these videos! I unfortunately live at a country that doesn't have that much bookstores so really, you make my day :)
Completely agree with you about The Notebook. Such a cheesy, melodramatic movie!
I love 5 and below, that Fanny pack is awesome.
That Dune cover was gorgeous 😍
Your hair looks amazing!🌺😘🌸😽
Amo os vídeos que você faz mostrando livros . Sou brasileira , entendo bem pouco o que você diz , mas mesmo assim vejo. Thanks 🇧🇷

Another great video
These are my absolute favorite walk thrus of yours..... Yet ironically I have never read a book that wasn't a text book 😒 Either way.... Love everything you do for us 🤗
I wish I worked there 🙌
You should definitely read Wicked. It is a weird (in the best way), creative, thought-provoking spin on a classic story! There are 3 sequels, too.
Oh it would be really cool if you got that how to paint unicorns kit and paint one for us. I love bam, but I've never seen those kits. I usually look for the graphic novels.
