I personally don’t worry about weight, I think there is too much pressure on people to jump on the ‘ultralight’ waggon. I think going as light as possible compromises comfort & enjoyment, because at the end of the day you’re out there to enjoy yourself & draw on the benefits of the outdoors. PS: I’ve subscribed too, always support small channels. 😊

Thanks mate. To be fair I started to think down the lightweight route but I have to agree all about having your comforts to make the whole experience as enjoyable as possible.

Nice camp, I'm intrigued by this tent, must be nice having all that space on a wild camp!

Thanks it’s not a bad tent to be fair and is pretty low profile but spacious enough for one person!

Noticed you pitched flysheet then added inner tent. Why not leave them clipped together ? Saves a lot of time and fiddling about inside doing something that is not needed especially when the weather is bad or sunny and hot for that matter.
I suggest you cable tie loosely the bottom inner hooks to the rings on the hoop fixings as they are the ones that don't always stay in place when the tent is folded / unfolded.
    Try it and see. 👍

I use the blacks pots on a cheap burner atop the gas canister. No windshield so I position to suit. Works great but not for 4 season. Use permanent marker on outside of pots for 250, 400 ml etc

I do like the Jackal 2 but agree it's 2.5kg so not the lightest in the pack. I am looking at the Lanshan 2 to get the weight down but also use the Naturehike Cloud up 2 for single nights out
