I had two mini schnauzers, one passed away a week and a half ago, his name was Max and he was my best friend for my entire life ( 16 years! ) and he was the best. It is sad that he had to be my first experience of loss, but I know he's in a better place. The other one, Morgan, is still with us and he's so crazy, but such a great dog. I know for sure Amaya will fit in so well with you guys, wishing your family the best!

I literally saw that Tiffy was pregnant and ever since have gone down a path of watching all these old gaming videos from 7 years ago and I understand why I had so much joy in my life.
Just some advice from a professional standpoint! Yes Schnauzers are an amazing breed however they can go each way very quickly. I know a lot of giants in bitework, protection training, and police work. I also know a lot of them of all sizes who are extremely reactive. 5 months is going to be a good start but you're going to need constant training for longer than that. I'd recommend getting in touch with a prof trainer (r+ balanced, whatever is your jam, just do hella research there are some bad ones out there, you can never be too picky). Once the baby is here sending the pup to a board and train will prob be a lifesaver. Grooming will be pretty similar to ruby, just less oily. They will be very different dogs though, and you're going to have to learn how to handle the drive and biting in a healthy way, or it'll get overbearing very fast. Congrats on the new girl!
@@TiffyQuake of course:) forgot to mention the most important thing. Its okay to get frustrated with the puppy girl. You're going to get frustrated. Puppies are annoying and messy and dogs with drive can be confusing sometimes. Just keep in mind that the dog isn't doing it to spite you, she's doing what feels right, and make sure to just walk away (if its safe) when you're frustrated and start again. You got this!!!

Seeing you clean out Ruby's closet, which must have been super hard, helped me know that as the days go by... it will get easier without my baby. Im super excited to watch your journey this year with new PuppyQuake and BabyQuake.

Crate training is so wonderful and I am glad you are going to train her to crate. All the dogs my parents have ever crat trained have loved there crates and if you put a soft bed inside it and make a positive connection between the crate and her she might use it similarly to how mine do, like a little house just for them to escape when they want alone time. Can’t wait to meet this little one

Getting a puppy after a loss is such an emotional and wonderful experience. We lost our Koda in May. We found a breeder who was absolutely amazing. She had an opening on a litter and offered it to is bc she knew we recently lost our baby. We got Astro in July and he brought so much joy to our hearts. You're going to have so much fun with this little pup 💞🐾

My family is currently on our 3rd mini schnauzer, he's a 10.5-month- old grey and black male named Axel, and I got so excited when you said you were getting a schnauzer! I remember when my Dad introduced me to our new puppy when I got home and I instantly fell in love with him. He was also a pandemic puppy and my Dad named him Lucky. I call him lucky boy sometimes because he sure is lucky to be in my life. Oh and congrats on the new puppy happy for you both!

So I lost my dog of 14 years in March of 2021, so I know you pain and the process it takes to grieve. I still have been slowly packing up her favorite things, in a Hope Chest my mom gave me. I sorted all her favorite toys, clothes she wore, anything special for her to pack away speical for her. I got a new puppy, she is a Cavapoo in Mid Oct. She got all new things, but some toys, because I do have a German Shepherd who played with lots of the toys as well. Congrats on new baby, both with and without fur :D

I HAD TWO MINI SCHNAUZERS!!! Heidi and Gretel!!! The best dogs in the entire world. They sadly passed away years ago but towards the end of her life one was blind and one was death and they would help each other out with daily tasks. And always followed my mother around and slept on her feet whenever she sat down one on each foot🥲💜 GOOD CHOICE

This was just my experience, you're new puppy will probably be a second mummy or daddy♡♡ It will be a lot easier!! I love how we will always have ruby I our hart's!! We all know ruby would be so exited for having a baby and a puppy ♡♡
Schnauzers are amazing! And they are -effect family dogs! I’ve grown up with a miniature schnauzer, we got Wilson when I was two and half and now I’m fifteen and he just turned 13. We also have a little black mini schnauzer who is just four years old and they got along from the very beginning. They are so gentle and love night time cuddles!
my parents adopted my miniature schnauzer and yorkie mix dog Toby when i was about 4 and he was about 4 and he just recently died in August at 19 years old. they are the best lap dogs and great with other pets and kids, they will love and protect you until the end.

Oh my goodness!!!! I have a schnauzer ! I can tell you that they are very easy to train and they are so sweet! There personality’s are very loving and loyal. Also my sister just had a baby and my schnauzer is so protecting and loving of that baby we can’t separate them! This is the perfect dog for you guys- congrats!!!!

Schnauzers are so barky! Cute but barky & nippy! As a vet tech, if you are trying to find a hypoallergenic, smart, family, protector dog; the Spaniel or Poodle are recommended. But good luck with your new puppers! Any puppy can be trained. 🥰 Best of luck 🤞

A week or two ago my mom got a email about an Irish wolfhound puppy available (my mom was on their list for their spring litter, but someone brought the puppy back) and my mom was going on a trip a couple days later.. She said we would pick her up the next day. So now we have a 3 month old Irish wolfhound puppy named Sirius 👍 (luckily my mom is back from her trip now)
OMG! I had 1 of those as a puppy for a few years, he passed away in 2012. He was a tough boy to the end. I miss his salt and pepper self. You'll have fun, guaranteed.
Something I learned from my vet when I get my puppy they told us Red Kong‘s don’t show up on x-rays blue Kong‘s do just in case if the puppy/dog chew off a piece
I haven't had a large amount of experience with schnauzers, but ensure it is socialised with other dogs early on, otherwise it is likely that it will be aggressive or nervous towards other dogs. Also ensure the puppy knows its place in the hierarchy otherwise if you allow it to get away with things it will start challenging you and/or the baby once its arrived. Also to anyone thinking about getting a dog, please please please consider looking at rescues as there are SO many dogs and also cats that need rehoming, plus please check you can actually look after them properly for up to a decade not just for a few months. Having a pet requires money, time and effort and if you're not willing to accommodate all of those things, then maybe reconsider getting a pet. 😃👍

my aunt had a schnauzer named rocky and when she came to the U.S she left it to my grandparents in Bolivia and it’s been the family’s dog for years he was such a smart and amazing beautiful dog I’m so excited for you guys!!! And after 20 years of being alive and being my grandfathers companion he died last year.

A week or two ago my mom got a email about an Irish wolfhound puppy available (my mom was on their list for their spring litter, but someone brought the puppy back) and my mom was going on a trip a couple days later.. She said we would pick her up the next day. So now we have a 3 month old Irish wolfhound puppy named Sirius 👍 (luckily my mom is back from her trip now)
Create training can be very stressful but it’s needed and better for the long run in case of emergencies! Good luck I’m sure you guys will do great!

OMG! I had 1 of those as a puppy for a few years, he passed away in 2012. He was a tough boy to the end. I miss his salt and pepper self. You'll have fun, guaranteed.

Something I learned from my vet when I get my puppy they told us Red Kong‘s don’t show up on x-rays blue Kong‘s do just in case if the puppy/dog chew off a piece

I haven't had a large amount of experience with schnauzers, but ensure it is socialised with other dogs early on, otherwise it is likely that it will be aggressive or nervous towards other dogs. Also ensure the puppy knows its place in the hierarchy otherwise if you allow it to get away with things it will start challenging you and/or the baby once its arrived. Also to anyone thinking about getting a dog, please please please consider looking at rescues as there are SO many dogs and also cats that need rehoming, plus please check you can actually look after them properly for up to a decade not just for a few months. Having a pet requires money, time and effort and if you're not willing to accommodate all of those things, then maybe reconsider getting a pet. 😃👍

aww this is so funny to me coz i have a miniature schnauzer turning 3 in april and this tuesday my dad and i bought an airedale puppy (her mum is a quarter bedlington though, but you cant really tell, the mum and dad are so pretty) and called her skylar, just thought id let some people know :) so happy for you!
Aww a Puppyquake, your hearts must just be overflowing with joy! I am so curious what you will name her, I remember when you were looking at trending baby names you mentioned some sounded better for pets :) perhaps one of those will fit! I loved seeing your pet closet, that is so cute, I had no idea they made little backpacks! I am absolutely looking into those for our dogs, it would be so handy to have on outings for treats or even extra doggy bags because I never seem to pack enough!

my aunt had a schnauzer named rocky and when she came to the U.S she left it to my grandparents in Bolivia and it’s been the family’s dog for years he was such a smart and amazing beautiful dog I’m so excited for you guys!!! And after 20 years of being alive and being my grandfathers companion he died last year.
