please help me when I set this resolution it also shrinks horizontally and instead of occupying the whole screen but seeing bigger things it shrinks me and I always see the same

I have the stretched red whilst I’m just browsing things but then when I click back on fortnite it just goes away
That means you don’t have your in game resolution at the stretch res, which i show how to do at 0:10

It will work without changing any setting in AMD. But you still have to do it in fortnite and you won’t get the fps boost that you get with AMD

Whenever I click save after putting in the resolution and I click on file then save it says I can't bc the file is already saved???
You have to untick read only. Right click on the file and click properties, then untick read only, the Retick it after you save 👍
In the settings part you tell us to change it to 1700x1920 and after that your screen goes black and then you say click over here where do you click?
GPU scaling, from my tests, if you don’t have it on, your game won’t feel as smooth. But everyone is different, so if you prefer it off there is no need to click it.
Hello guys, I've been trying to get some stretched resolution for more than 1 month, but I'm having a problem. My monitor is 60hz overclocked to 77hz, the problem is that when I use a stretched resolution the game feels laggy, not from input lag, but as if it had few fps, when in fact I have 200 fps, I already checked the hz are at 77hz in the amd panel and in the windows display settings, what can I do?

get a better monitor to fix it you drone. your computer is trying to load 200 fps on a 60 hertz monitor so obviously it would be lagging. get a 144+ hertz to not have it appear laggy
for me on the last step my screen doesnt go stretched its the other way kinda
like i mean it its smaller then my actual monitor

Whenever you are making the new custom resolution, instead of selecting CVT, try CVT - Reduced Blanking
When I click cvt I get red exclamation points
the custom resolution in amd isn't in the same place in my computer

When i alt tab it takes so long to switch tabs and goes black for longer then usually do I have to change my hz then back to my normal hz I play on as you did
That happens whenever your desktop res isn’t the Same as the res you put in the app data, if it’s not, it’s basically trying to change your res every time you alt Tab

Go back to the game user settings, untick read only, then go back in game and change it to performance mode. Once you close out of your game, go back to game user setting and check if your res has changed (if it does just retype the res you want and then save and retick read only)

When I try to create the custom resolution in the AMD software it says "The custom resolution settings are not compatible with this display. Reconfigure your settings and try again". What should I do?

Did you change timing standard to CVT? If so try CVT - reduced blanking

does this increase you fps?
Yes it does, it’s because there are less pixels on the screen that your gpu has to render so it gets you more frames

make sure your desktop res is the same as your in game res, and turn on GPU scaling and set it to Full Panel

Under GPU scaling there is a setting and you want to set that to full panel

anyone know how I can make my clips the same res?
They will always clip with the bars on the side, so you’ll have to use a program like premeir pro or divinci resolve to stretch out your clips. There are plenty of RUclips videos online that can help!

its not complitable it says
That usually means that the resolution you tried to put in doesn’t work with the size of your display. I haven’t found a work around quite yet but just try to figure out a resolution that is close to the one you want to use that actually works (example: 1750x1080 doesn’t work, so you’d use 1752x1080)
can i get 240 fps with amd 6900 xt?
Depends mostly on your cpu, i have a worse GPU and pretty bad cpu and i get like 200 in game so maybe

I can’t help specifically but just keep searching around in the different display or graphics setting, maybe even look it up online for your specific AMD version

no hate but i wouldn’t suggest gpu scaling as it can effect fps and cause input lag but other than that GREAT VID!
It works better for me personally, i get way better fps and my screen doesn’t glitch out, but yeah sometimes without can be better
Gpu scaling caused a lot of lag so had to turn it off

Would not recommend this tutorial because it does not match up with the signal resolution
That means you put in a res that your monitor can’t display, it is an issue with AMD so try to up or down the resolution by 1 or 2 pixels and it should work (eg 1720 x 1070 won’t work, so you’d do 1722 x 1070)
Even for you it said 1700x1080 display res and you signal res was 1920x1080
@@bassheadmom3753 oh I see what you are saying. It is not needed for both of them to match up in order for stretched res to work. It is very tricky to even do but if you do want to make them both match up use this video ruclips.net/video/vhMZJlw2Upk/видео.html

Try not setting it to CVT, that does sometimes happen with certain resolutions, and you should still be fine
