- In this weeks episode of Barefoot Travels we explore the Berry Islands of The Bahamas. Hoffman's Blue Hole is definitely worth the visit.
Be a NOMAD and dive with Blu3's nomad tankless dive system! It allows you to dive to 30 feet, using lithium batteries and gives you an hour under water!
Our new theme song is an original song written by Brian Dale a talented musician, sailor and has become a fantastic friend.

Heartwarming to see Foxy...being Foxy. Thanks for sharing.
Miss you guys!
@@BarefootTravels we miss you too! Always here to listen and lean into.
Cheers!
Perfect, thanks for sharing, seeing u both being happy and livin life, awesome. Big hugs for Foxie🐕🌈💖
😊
Those Blu3’s look quite interesting. The portability of them is handy. Any other system I’ve seen is always on board so can only be used around the boat.
They are fantastic!
Wow that are some amazing and clear seas!! Thanks for sharing
Thanks for watching!
@@BarefootTravelshey I am here since the guys from Bums presented you and have enjoyed every single video yo have posted!!
I've been to that blue hole! Quite an amazing place, funny how warm and kind of oily the water is! and probably 100ft deep!
It was nice and warm! It’s only about 50 feet deep in the middle. We checked with our handheld depth sounder.
Always enjoy your episode's. Both of your enthusiasm on camera is what keeps me watching. The dive systems you showed this week are cool. Keep up the life. 😊
Thank you 🙏
Very interesting video, I would really like to see the Blu3 used on more videos.
They will be for sure!!
Very interesting episode. Your route to Hoffman's- was that SE going between Anderson and Fanny Cay? or something else? Other cat owners might be interested in route- deep keel mono owners not so much. Most mono's go around the North end of Great Harbor Cay for deeper water before heading south on Eastern side. I've seen other Ytube vids on Blue hole, mostly jumping off, but never underwater showing the shelfs and plant life- assume no real valuables found.
30' for the Blu seems ok and at that depth a spare air works to get you back to surface if needed- at 60' or so the spare air gives much less time. I've seen Blu clones with 30' and upgrades to 45' depth, but think the 30' depth restriction is safer at just 1 atmosphere additional pressure. Does the air pass thru the yellow buoyancy bag or do you just inflate it separately?
Suspect you are already in hurricane safe area, but if you get to Eleuthera and Govenour's Harbor you might check out the hurricane damaged abandoned Club Med resort on the Atlantic side.
Hey!
Yes we went se of Anderson and Fanny cay. Then through ambergris cut before turning to hoffmans cay.
There was only one area that we held our breath and it was still about 5 feet but besides that with our 4 foot draft we felt completely comfortable.
We had a couple friends in monohulls who had to go around but they took a lot longer than our trip.
The shelf’s and plant life in the blue hole was pretty cool!
Davy found an old pocket knife but nothing of value. It looks like there are locals who come and do the same thing. Diving in for lost GoPros or phones etc.
30’ is great for the Bahamas from what we’ve experienced so far. Scuba is better for places like conception island. But for cleaning the bottom and your average snorkel site the nomad at 30’ is great.
No the air does not pass through the yellow buoyancy bag. It is a safety feature you can hold onto in rough weather at the surface. You don’t even have to use it.
Thanks for your comment!!
I'm gonna have to take a look at that harness. My hookah system is annoying without one, but i haven't decided what i want to do.
Hay guys. Boats looking grate👍. What was the cost for the dive gear you bought. It's just what I need to clean the boat and change anodes etc. Keep up the good work guys. SV Kiwi Lady Opua Bay of islands New Zealand 👍🏿
Hey!
Check out the website. They have a few different options.
We have the nomad set up but they also have the nemo which goes to ten feet. Good for cleaning the bottom and changing anodes.

Hi Davy.
It's nice to follow you.
What model are your Oakley sunglasses?

@@BarefootTravels I'm thinking of the Oaklye sunglasses that Davy wears in the period 0.46 - 5.28
@martinpihl5691 ahh those are my normal glasses but they get darker in sunlight.
I’m not sure the model of those ones. They are prescription lenses. Didn’t think of them when you said sunglasses! Lol
I have been thinking about getting a system like this. How much does it retail for?
There are a few different packages available on their website.

Are you guys gonna sail again ?
We would like to put a mast back on the boat but it isn’t in the budget at the moment.
Well, I think you guys have a really nice motor boat. I guess that’s a motor boat because I haven’t seen you do any sailing so I assume it’s a motor boat and not a sailboat
