While I hadn't booked a ticket to travel on the tour as £155 for standard class was far too expensive, I did manage to do a part fare journey on that tour from Chester to Preston with 44932.
For a 44 mile journey behind 44932 which took 89 minutes it only cost me £20 (£10.80 cheaper than normal service trains & the charter was a direct train too unlike normal DMU services where you must change at Warrington BQ).
