When I saw the game theory I thought it was odd he missed the man in the true ending where he is behind the table, and I also thought wooly being Sam was strange. I do agree with the Hamlin idea
Me too since I saw all of matpat game play of Amanda the Adventurer I thought he would give idea of who he thought it might be but wasn't sure but he didn't mention it at all
I'm not trying to call him a fake but I wonder what goes on during the research phase for these videos. Especially for like, I think weekly-ish videos? Like how much of that time goes into information gathering, and especially how much of that time is actually engaging with the material you're using, on top of how much of the ideas came from the game itself and how much came from other accounts posting their ideas. (IE: How much is based on the actual context of the game and not abridged ideas from other people) Idk how much the 100% completion bonus is common knowledge but I'm assuming maybe he missed that cause it's not at that point of not being a secret anymore.
I'm not sure about Sam being Wooly, but i can see where the theory comes from. Especially because Wooly isn't in the show credits. They don't want anyone knowing who he is. But the man in the hat definitely seems to be Sam
@RobloxGuy69420 maybe, but I do have another theory. The hat man could be someone sent by Hamlyn to shut Riley up because they know that Riley knows something. Hat man is dressed kind of like a P.I. and they enter the attic quite aggressively
What about the farm episode? When you say “Sam” for the “what’s the daddy chicken called?”, wooly responds (not vocally) a lot faster than Amanda. Either wooly is the dad or has something to do with the dad.
I personally disagree with the theory that Sam is Wooly. Notice how Amanda constantly represents herself as a lonely kitten needing help. If Wooly was her dad, why would she feel so lonely or act surprised when you enter his name in the rooster slot during the petting zoo tape? I believe if it was her father, she wouldn’t be as lonely or be as upset as she obviously is. So then who would Wooly be? I think he could be a Hamlen employee placed in there to keep Amanda from raging out. Think about it. Every time she tries to remember what happened to her, Wooly comes in and shuts it down. Like during everything rots, she mentions she can feel herself rotting and begins to realize something, and immediately after Wooly comes in and denies what she says. Every time she remembers something begins to break the fourth wall Wooly tries to calm her down to make sure she doesn’t do anything show breaking. That also explains why she doesn’t seem to care and even enforces when he gets hurt, even being excited to torture him as he would’ve been one of the reasons she would be in the situation in the first place, like in the corrupted version of “Uh oh accidents.” Why would Amanda be so eager to hurt her father? She wouldn’t. But she would be eager to hurt one of the people that did this to her. And in the final tape where Wooly isn’t there at all, she seems to be calm and completely aware even speaking clearly and breaking the fourth wall in the final moments. Hamlen placed Wooly there, probably and employee or maybe an advanced AI of some sort to keep her under control and not have her break character or go off script and keep her in line. As for her dad? I’m not sure, but I don’t think he’s Wooly. Why would he prevent his daughter from remembering everything? Why would he want her to stay on script and in character? Wouldn’t he want them to rebel and not follow the orders of the people that put them in there? That just wouldn’t make much sense tbh. That’s just my personal theory. I agree with everything else though Edit: Ok so I think there are two possible things Sam could be. One, the barn in the petting zoo episode. If you enter in Sam in the rooster slot the barn stares at you, possible wondering how you could know his name. Two, the guy who appears at the end of the game. I'm personally leaning more towards the second one.
i agree with your statement but wooly came on screen by saying do you trust me than he will wait for your answer like yes or no and than in the demo types he wants us or you as riley to burn the tapes.
Personally, I think Sam's soul is trapped in the barn, considering it freaks out really bad if you guess "Sam" when asked what the daddy chicken's name is.
i honestly think that Wooly was just the first victim amongst the others. my theory is that since Wooly was the first victim, they didn’t know what to do with him, so they decided to make him a character in the show. once they started to realize that Wooly was becoming more self-aware over time, they made the other victims the eyes we see on all the buildings and meat, etc. they kept Wooly because they knew little kids were gonna ask where Wooly went if they got rid of him. but once Wooly started to try and warn us, they knew they had to get rid of him, so they did. so he was kind of like an “experiment” victim.
Warning for lots of reading below it’s just a theory lol I think when MatPat kept referring to Rebecca/Amanda to be the lonely kitten he was missing a few pieces in between, one of those demons that were mentioned, Bael, turns into a cat to manipulate people, he even pointed it out very briefly while reading about him during the livestreams, which makes sense because when you agree to help the, “Lonely Kitten,” you get trapped in the butcher shop. I don’t know the significance of those facts but that definitely clears up some of the confusion, also the old tapes don’t hold as much power as they did before as not all past versions of the game are confirmed to still be valid or canon at all, lastly in the secret ending no one seems to be talking about where Wooly is sitting in silence *and it could be representative of a mourning father suffering in silence after losing his daughter. (These are just some extra ideas I’ve had but it’s still unclear who or what the man in the “true ending” is as he’s wearing a mask, sure it could be Sam, but why is he at Riley’s house? It could also be an agent for Hameln trying to stop Riley from digging deeper.)
As someone who watched him play the game on GTLive, while he found all the tapes and solved all the puzzles, I don't remember him finding a man with a red hat.
Mat is a really bad gamer. Stopped watching him years ago. Their are more small channels that are more talented than him. But hey that’s just my opinion!
@@MsAdvill a lot of people don't watch him because he is a good gamer; i agree he isnt that good- They watch him because he looks for the clues, like seeing him make theories on the spot, or just enjoy watching another gamer react to certain moments.
My guess is that Sam is actually possessing the barn. It would make sense when you think about because when amanda asks you what a daddy chicken is called, if you answer sam, the next scene will show amanda shocked, and you will see the barn staring at us. TLDR: sam is probably possessing the barn.
You know, it just occured to me that the daddy chicken could be Sam. I mean, I'd be really surprised just like Amanda/Rebecca if someone could figure out the chicken was Sam instead of just a random rooster. Not like there are any signs of it.
Imo, I've always seen Wooly and Amandas relationship as something of a sibling relationship. Like when he helped Amanda pick him out a birthday present for himself, it seemed like he was just helping his sister out. that's just me though.
I don't think a company would put "we will use your kid to be the host of a demon and also will do anything to prevent you from stopping us" in their contract. Also a better theory is that wooly is a hameln whistlblower, it's why he would be a sheep but also why they don't want amanda angry and release the demon.
I think Wooly’s a worker at Hamlen, he’s just trying to make sure that amanda doesn’t think about anything like “im rotting” or “im lonely” I feel like the “whats a family” episode kind of shows how amanda wanted to get rid of wooly, or, the hamlen worker, so she could connect to the viewer, I think that’s why she mentions the lonely kitten part, shes all alone and trying to make sure that she can communicate with the viewer, trying to get help from them, without wooly telling her she cant. Wooly wouldnt let amanda think about her rotting self, and if matpat’s objection about her body being outside in the real world is correct, then it would be awfully strange for Wooly to be telling her “its fine” if you tell amanda “no” not everything rots. I feel like Wooly is just a worker trying to hide rebecca from the truth that her body is rotting, her father is missing, and shes trapped inside the show.
I think wooly is probably the containment specialist because amanda clearly doesn't like or respect him and not only does he openly oppose her but also fears her going along with the theory that she is a host for this demon
The reason she does not respect him is because Amanda is possesed also if my theory about Wooly and Amanda being brother and sister then Wooly might have been the favourite child which made Amanda angry
i mean he got the ending. my guess is that he is waiting for the new update, as it doesn't affect his theory at all unless you belive that sam is the man instead of wooly, then it does.
My theory is Wooly is one of the scientists who were put into the videos to watch Amanda and keep her contained but also Wooly isnt the first. The other sheep in the pen were scientists too. There were multiple Wooly who eventually lost their minds in the vids and became simple sheep, unable to talk or communicate any longer.
Considering the other most popular theory (currently) is that Wooly is an employee from Hameln maybe 'We Must NOT save sheep boiii'. (I'm actually team 'Save Sheep Boi' but I'm warning you to be wary of a possible betrayal)
@@hat_sauce3846 He can't be a Hameln employee because he's clearly against the company, telling someone to burn tapes is not something a employee would do
@@DogDayFromPoppyPlaytime180 The theory is that he is trying to calm her done and not go out of control and overlook things. Anyways there's a theory that Aunt Kate is Wooly given that they have the same birthday.
I think the thing that y'all are missing is the fact that this is *one* theory about Amanda the Adventurer, one explanation. I do agree he missed out on making a theory on the man in the red hat, I also personally think he's Sam. However this theory about Wooly is really interesting. If you make theories about a game and heavily stick to one assumption you end up getting a ton of stuff wrong, this is why you need to make multiple theories, even if they are a bit out there :]
I have a theory about the man in the hat: So there's this thing where people irl will see a dark shadow like man, 6ft tall, in a hat with a trench coat, some people claiming him to have red eyes. Some people say he might be an alien, some a sleep paralysis demon, and others see him in pure daylight when they're awake and well. Nobody really knows what he wants or why he's there. A lot of those people see him before or after a traumatic event. My dad said he saw him after a really bad car accident (he's ok now). I think this might be who the man at the end is.
Personally, Wooly might be an angel. From what I know, Lambs are associated with angels and pureness, and Goats with demons (why idk they are just animals) so maybe Wooly is an angel?
21:53 what i think is that maybe they found out that the guy was filming behind the door and used him as a test subject since he was filming without consent/filmed what could be used against Hameln in court or something. This would fall in line with Sam being the man in the trenchcoat at the end of the game and the fact that this guy figured out that Hameln did the complete wrong thing and wants to protect Amanda, which could mean he would be Wooly.
I feel like the house in the bit with the daddy chicken, is Sam. I have a reason for this, when you type the daddy chicken’s name as Sam, the house stops breathing heavily and turns it’s eyes to the camera, and Amanda says ‘wait how do you kno-‘
While I do find it strange that he didn't include the guy at the end, I still agree with everything he said in the video and here's why. My theory is that Rebecca and Sam are trapped in the game/tapes as Amanda and Wooly, and that Amanda is rotting but Wooly is alive! When Amanda said she feels she's rotting, her soul is connected to her real body. However, they never said anything quite like that with Wooly. Wooly being a father figure is not really there, especially since he is 4 in the tapes, but I think his guidance is close enough to what Sam might say or do. Sam did go missing but he is still alive, just was trapped somewhere. The guy at the end is Sam but is also Wooly, and when you destroyed the TV, his soul was connected to his real body. Maybe, he was even in the house? When Rebecca is saying those phrases, (bye-yell, pie-man, ba-lamb) those are the names of three demons. (Bael, Paimon, Balam) When Rebecca was summoning the demons as what Matpat describes, she was summoning one demon in particular, Bael. Bael is a Demon with the power to turn men invisible, such as her dad. She was being forced to turn her dad invisible to allow Hamlen to do whatever they might want to do. But, key word is INVISIBLE. He never died. When the TV was destroyed, the souls of Amanda and Wooly, being Rebecca and Sam, Rebecca was rotting (of course she can still be saved as Matpat said,) but Sam came back. He came back to get you to save Rebecca. Also if you got this far, thanks
Sam being Wooly actually kinda makes sense to me cuz in the first episode when their baking the pie he’s trying to get Amanda to be safe and saying things like “Don’t use the oven by yourself, ask a parent to help” and kind of acting like a father figure.
😲 I hadn’t even thought about the older people being drawn into the tape! Good thought, Mike! I also don’t think Wooly is Sam because Wooly tries to stop her from talking to Kate in the outside world and I feel like Sam would want to help her get out of the tapes instead of being stuck in them. Also, a lot of Wooly’s motivations seem to maybe be selfish (like wanting Kate’s food for himself) and he is more afraid of Amanda.
Hi bijuu! Thanks for posting a reaction lol. I just finished watching the theory, its so crazy. Todays also my birthday so i get to celebrate with a new awesome vid 🎉
On the "in your neighbourhood tape" if you look at the yellow lines in the road you will see a bit missing in the shape of a hand ✋️ there are 5 bodies not 4. If you are wondering how this connects to the story there are 5 stores:24/7,post office ,candy store ,butcher , bakery(I believe I got them all correct me if im wrong) all of these people got turned into stores. I think Lauren(from the orange tape) is the girl that got turned into the candy store and is the one who is stopping you from entering it because they know what will happen when you go into it(if you look on the tv in the tape it looks like they are in the candy store) and they sent you to the butcher maybe to try make you aware that something is not right.
the theroy in short:wolly is Amanda father, because of how protecteteive he is and how whenever Amanda starts to make things dark, wolly trys to make Amanda return to a bright happy show
at this point i'll just think of wooly as amalgamation of ai, sheep, human and demon trying to fight and work together with each other in one body to manipulate amanda for their own different reasons. but its a moot point since amanda already fixed wooly's broken head so wooly's probably in his final form idling forever peacefully in that secret tape like a true sheep. or he's already digested by amanda so amanda can achieve her ultimate form.
I LOVE THIS OMG 🫶 haven't finished the video yet, but since I'm so early I wanted to stop and say PLEASE play more Katawa Shoujo. That game is beautiful and I discovered it because of you. That game now means a lot to me 🫶 love you Mike and all you do for us Edit: now that I've seen the whole video, I also have a problem with Matt's theory. I wish he had talked about the whole wholly being a sheep thing, and the secret stuff that happens when you put like mutton as an answer, or when Amanda is essentially trying to kill wooly. It feels like more than silencing. With the whole spiritual esc undertones, the demonic things Rebecca has to say. And wooly being a sheep that follows Amanda but eventually rebels and is punished for it, it feels more like wholly is an offering. Just like all the children that watch, they are sheep to the show. And I feel wooly is the embodiment of that sheep like relationship, and he's the ultimate sacrifice to these demonic entities. I'm explaining this poorly lmao, but wish he had got into that
Yeah ngl I dont think that hes the demon or the dad because the behavior doesnt match up why would the demon try to stop us from watching the tapes and why would amanda hurt her father it just doesn't line up
i believe wooly is another kids soul that's trapped, and he knows what's going on. I think Amanda is so mean to him because she's trying to shut him up. every time wooly says "oh, its you!" he looks around before saying "Quick, we don't have much time--" and then it always glitches before he's able to say anything else. I think Amanda doesn't want him spilling the secrets, which is why he's so desperate to get away from her. He knows a lot, but he's scared of Amanda, so he doesn't say anything whenever she's around.
I dont think Sam is either wooly nor the man at the end, I think he is actually dead and he's the eyes on the barn in the farm tape. when you enter his name, his bloodshot eyes literally look at you and Amanda acts all surprised. I think he's just dead and now he's part of the show too
If MatPat‘s theory is correct maybe that could be Riley’s family member because we’re not playing as Amanda we are playing as Riley or if we are staying with it’s Amanda’s family member it could be her uncle, or even a foster parent
Maybe Wooly is Sam and the reason why Amanda “hates” him and wants to hurt him so much is because the company managed to brainwash her and made her believe Sam is the bad guy
WARNING: SPOILERS! - There is a code on a book saying: Who is wooly? I think this is why the credits never mentioned woolie’s VA. We don’t know if wooly is good or bad because we don’t know who he is really. That’s another puzzle to solve 😭😭
The reason Paimon's name is "Paimon" is because Genshin tends to name important gods/(I guess only Paimon for some reason) after demons. All the Archons have demon god names from Solomon. Barbatos rules Mondstat, Morax rules Liyue, Baal and Beelzebul rules Inazuma, Buer rules Sumeru, and supposedly Focalor rules Fontaine.
i love how funny all these videos are lol, also i love mint choclet chip ice cream lol also you should try putting riley for all the things being said in the game or when it askes if you know what the daddy chicken is called you could say rebecca
so in the demo of amanda the adventurer , amanda said that she's coming as to mention that she will come after us, but when the full game came out, she will say i'm out there somewhere, which she signalifies that her body is buried.
I think it’s very plausible that that could be Amanda’s dad (the hooded dude at the end) seeing how in the interview he mentioned Riley’s aunt Kate. Him and our aunt might’ve been close and so he knows where her house is. And so he came to her house knowing he could find help there.
Maybe the man is Sam's real body, just like how Amanda's body is out in the real world And perhaps Sam got his soul back in his body once he died in the tape. (Just a possibility) Also, I'd imagine that the people from the previous games were just different people, in different houses
The reason I’m convinced Sam is Wally is being of a single line. When Sams fighting with the producers he says this “this has gone far enough” and even though that’s not very specific Wally says the same exact line in one of the tapes. Now it’s normal for a grown adult who has a tv show to say that but it’s weird that Wally says that exact line specifically..
prob someway you can disprove this but what if in the video x marks the spot, in one of the demos, is where either Sam or Rebecca is buried especially when Rebecca says that she is rotting.
I agree with the theory except the part where Sam is wooly. Honestly I don't trust wooly, I personally feel that wooly isn't doing what he's doing for the sake of Amanda at all. In the previous demo's yes wooly seems like the character your supposed to help and Amanda seems like the monster. But the game seems to have completely shifted and wooly's actions don't seem like that of a person that is trying to keep Amanda happy for her sake but rather of someone or something completely trying to distract her from finding the truth. Anytime wooly is alone he tells you "don't.." before getting cut off. All though it could possibly mean anything, the main thing you do as the player is try to find the secrets and explainiation of what is going on. The character is literally helping Amanda find this as well so to me the only thing Wooly could be telling you not to do is to not find the truth and not show it to Amanda. Amanda is obviously not in full control as you see on multiple occasions of finding secrets or telling her something she get scared and confused to the point of almost completely shutting down. And the part with the butcher where she has absolutely no control concerns me. I'm not saying that wooly is controlling everything but he definitely knows more then he Let's on, I just don't think that knowledge is to help us or Amanda but rather distract her from finding out the truth. I don't think Amanda finding the truth is hurting her and turning her into that monster creature since again with the time she is literally forced into the butchers neither her nor the player was in control. So honestly what ever is happening to her or in the tapes can happen at anytime. I feel like telling her the truth will lead her and us into ways to save her of we can but agian we still have to deal the monster as a consequence. Now if wooly is a person then I think he might be working for hameln which is why he's trying so hard to keep Amanda from the truth. That or he is a program or AI created by hameln, and although matpat said that technology wasn't as advanced in all these indie horror games there are technical advance that are not native to the times of the games. Amanda also clearly doesn't trust wooly and shows this by the way she treats him and constantly trying to get rid of him. She literally tries to kill him by saying she's performing surgery on his brain. If wooly was her father or just someone she trusted or even an innocent person I don't think she would go this far to get rid of him on multiple occasions unless she sees him as a threat that needs to be dealt with now. My conclusion is that Sam is either still out there and hiding from hameln, dead, or is the secret man in the hat.
While I do believe Wooly is maybe the reason she doesn't become fully a demon (cuz the only time we saw a demon is when Wooly gone). I don't fully convinced Wooly is Sam, the action do not scream as an act of father to a child, but more like just an concern friend (who scare of her/also believe that she is a good person and try to make her kept on a good path, which is why Hamlen wants to put Wooly out of the picture when Amanda didn't physically tried to kill Wooly, at least on that tape) and I think the red man is more possibly Sam
Bijuu Mike, the reason that the man in the older version said "Is someone following me?" Is because it's not the man that was trying to burn the tape. It's another person that wasn't burning the tapes at all.
I personally believe the theory that Sam is Wooly and for the person at the end of the true ending, I think that their an ex-employee of Hameln trying to expose them for their crimes. I think that because in the tape where Rebecca is saying the spell(?), there was someone recording the whole thing and I believe that person is the one we see at the end
(For the short version, check my reply) Ok, it’s been a while since I looked into Amanda the Adventurer game and lore, so please forgive me if my little theory on the game has a few inaccuracies. (Please point them out if you see them, thanks!) So, I just did some research on the story, “Pied Piper of Hamelin”, there are a few slightly different versions, but they all just about follow the same understanding. A man with colorful clothes and a silver flute came to the village, and the village asked him to get rid of the rats in exchange for some money, he agreed and got rid of the rats and when he went back to get his reward, the village denied him of it. So he used his silver flute to lead away 130 children. Now, this reflects itself in the game as well. Hameln (Pied Piper), came to Sam and Rebecca Colton (village), to buy the rights for Amanda the Adventurer (rats). Sam agreed to this, and allowed them to do what they wish, until his daughter started doing weird things because of them, so he stopped (denied the reward) the whole thing. Later, Hameln started doing even weirder things and before we know it, many kids and including Sam went missing (the 130 children) [for a little bit of clarification here, the people of a village are sometimes referred to as the children of the village as well]. Now there is one detail here missing, the silver flute that entrances the rats and children. I believe the “silver flute”, is Wooly. The Rat is Amanda, because in the story, the Rats are the problem that started everything to begin with, and Amanda is the only hostile entity in the game. However, in the story, the rats are told in two locations. The rats in Hameln, and the rats who were led into the river and drowned. Now, quickly before I explain this, let me first explain further upon the “village” of the game. Like I said in the Pied Piper story, the village denied him of his reward. Sam is only one part of the village that denied Hameln, while Rebecca was the other part of the village that denied the “man in the headphones”. I believe this “man in the headphones” was the Rat in Hameln (plus, they are in the Hameln HQ so … it’s a bit literal to that sense as well.) So, the “man” was the Rat in Hameln who the Hameln Company then led away into Amanda the Adventurer, which acts as the “river” in the story. Rebecca (and presumably Sam as well) was lead into this river as well, as the “130 children”. Now, back to Wooly, the silver flute which was apparently responsible for leading them all into this “river”. In the Pied Piper, this silver flute is used to do one good thing for the village, and one bad thing for the village. Leading the Rats into the river (leading the “man” into the TV Show) was the one good thing. While leading the children into the river was the one bad thing. [almost forgot to mention, but in one of the tellings of the story, the Pied Piper lead the children into the same river as the rats] So Wooly is the main instrument that brought the Rat and 130 children into the River. Or more precisely, Wooly is just the source of the Silver Flute. Allow me to explain. At the end of the day, Amanda The Adventurer is just a TV Show that Sam Colton made, it’s a “river”, nothing can change that. Hameln came into the picture and somehow found a way to lure a Rat, and 130 children into this “river”, how? Some how someway, the put the “silver flute” into this “river”, and Wooly, a part of this “river” became connected to this silver flute. [think of it as a fishing pole with a fish lure on it, both are the silver flute. The fish lure is put into the river, and gets attached to the Wooly Part, while as the Fishing Pole stays in the Real World, this is something the Silver Flute can only do.] So! Wooly is the Silver Flute, no questions there, in fact there is even more evidence to suggest this. The Silver Flute in the river is simply a restraints against the 130 children and the Rat, to stop them from leaving the River. This is why whenever Wooly is removed or killed or whatever, Amanda the Monster comes out and kills us. There is one little detail that I would like to talk about, that seems to have been just about ignored. It’s in the tape about the Mint Chocolate Chip girl. The mother turns around the corner to talk to the father, and the door is opened without her hearing it, despite her being RIGHT THERE. This door was intentionally opened quietly. When the mother goes out the door (or whatever happens when the camera is dropped), we see behind the TV, outside around the window, a shadow falls on it, a tall shadow. This is not the parents, nor is it the kid, it’s most likely the one who took the kid. Amanda tells us that she can feel herself, this tells us that when a kid gets sucked into the river, they can no longer control their body, it just stays still. So Mint Chocolate Girl was most definitely moved by someone else. This someone else is most definitely a person that Hameln sent to retrieve the 130 children, most likely the silver flute in the real world. Another detail I wish to discuss is Amanda’s “friend” Kate, as well as their reaction to Sam. Amanda is the rat, as well as Rebecca, one of the 130 children. The Rat is hostile, and Aunt Kate is dead, she knows that this was a dangerous job, and that danger got to her … the only dangerous thing in this game is the Rat … Amanda‘s “friend” is in all actuality, her most recent kill. We are Kate’s nephew, this question was most likely a threat towards us, “Hey remember your Aunt? I was the one who killed her, and I can do the same to you.” This unfortunately means, that Aunt Kate became a 130 children. Which means the Bad Part of the Silver Flute is still active. Their reaction to “Sam” is likely just surprise about our insight into the whole thing. That one ending where we destroy the TV and a random guy bursts into the attic? I think that is the Hameln agent who takes the 130 children away, he was expecting another still body, or even a corpse to clean up, but instead he faces us, someone who successfully fought back against the Rat … and this would be great news for Hameln. I’ll explain at the end, which is coming after I make this one final point. Wooly is there, so the Rat is unable to mess with anything outside the river … so how is our room being moved around? I believe it is the mother of the Mint Chocolate Chip girl. The secret tapes are a bit special, in that they are all recorded. The silent audio tape at Hameln HQ, that could’ve been snatched from their Surveillance Room. Sam in the that small Reality Show, that is a publicly recorded show that anyone can get. The Mint Girl, obviously the mother was recording that. And as for the Recording that snuck into the HQ and eavesdropped on Sam and Rebecca during the “man in the headphones”, well … that is the Mint Girl’s Mother. Here is some impossible-to-deny evidence, after Mint Girl’s Tape, a birthday cake shows us, because the Tape was recoding her birthday. This Birthday Cake holds a puzzle that you need to use the Robot to solve, in the end, he tells you the key is inside of him, the way to get it? Get a full bucket of water and throw it at him. This will reveal a key that is used to get the last tape, the tape where Amanda tells us her secret, and gets us to the ending where the Hameln Agent shows up, the same Agent that took Mint Girl. The one, who the Mint Girl’s mother, who looked back at the Birthday Tape, saw. A little special thing that MatPat found by complete coincidence, is that when you have filled the bucket with water, whenever you let go of an item, a fish hops out of that bucket. This fish tells us what Mint Girl’s Mother did, she made her own river using the Robot, to connect herself to the Amanda The Adventurer River, using the Silver Flute “Wooly”, this connected her to the river, but didn’t restrict her to the river, at least not to the Amanda River, but restricted to her own new Robot River. The fish jumping out whenever we let something go, symbolizes Mint Girl’s Mothers current decision, she found the truth that she wanted, and has found herself restricted to a river of her own doing … she knows the truth, but can no longer act upon it … when we arrived, she decided to help us learn this truth as well, and to help her “let go”, which is what we do when we destroy the Robot, which is her current physical vessel, ending her and her river in the process. The Robot had the key to the Tape that has Amanda’s secret, when Mint Girl Mother heard this secret, she also found the truth behind her own daughter’s disappearance. So! Now that the last point has been made, time for a synopsis that explains the whole story of what happened! (1/2)
The company called Hameln found itself to be haunted by a demon for whatever reason. The came to this conclusion somehow, that to get rid of the demon, they had to trap it in another world, a river, in Amanda The Adventurer. They sought out Sam Colton to buy the rights for this cartoon, and started their plans to seal this demon away. Rebecca, the voice actor for Amanda, and the sole influence that created the TV Show, was the key to contacting this demon, and to get him into this river. When Amanda made contact with the demon, she told it “no” to whatever he asked her to do. This brought Hameln to a predicament, since this “no” just undid most of their work of sealing the demon away. The Key Piece will no longer work, so now they needed a replacement, another child who was just as kind hearted as Rebecca, and could come into contact with this demon. So they started the hunt that I call the “130 children”, in hopes of finding someone to accept the deal in Rebecca’s place. After many many children, they finally found the one, Mint Girl. This is further proven, for when Amanda herself suddenly says “Mint Chocolate Chip is my favorite”, Mint Girl is the best replacement for Rebecca, and she has made contact with the demon, “the rat”. So they sent an Agent, the silver flute, to go and get her, and have her accept the demon’ deal, which would’ve sealed the demon into the Amanda River. Now, we have Mint Girl’s Mother who is investigating her daughter’s disappearance, and gets suspicious of Hameln, and ends up taking a surveillance footage from their HQ, and sneaks in to record her findings, and she finds Sam and Rebecca, where Rebecca says “no” to the “man in the headphones”, she doesn’t ask for his name or any “who are you?”, which means that this isn’t her first encounter with the “man in the headphones”, the demon, who should’ve been sealed in the Amanda River, came back to Rebecca, who he is somehow tied to, this leads Hameln to realize one thing, in order to seal the demon properly, they need to seal Rebecca as well. And that is how the character Wooly became the vessel for the “silver flute”, and Amanda became the vessel for “The Rat”, “Rebecca”, and “Mint Girl”. The Rat is hostile whenever he is active. Rebecca is in her own world, literally, so it functions how she remembers it to, like Dora The Explorer. And Mint Girl realized the seriousness of accepting the demon’s deal, so she is serious as well, like when realizing she doesn’t know where her parents are, decay, helping a kitten, or even telling a secret, especially to her mother. At the end, when the Hameln Agent finds us, this brings good news to the Hameln Company, they never had someone fight against the Rat and win, we are a sign that it’s possible to get rid of the Rat altogether. Well, this is my theory, hope you liked it! (2/2)
I do agree with matpat on the wooly thing, but at the same time I believe in Mike's theory, it's not "I don't know who to believe" it's "I don't know what theory to choose"
WAIT i just thought of something! The guy at the end what if he was Wooly? This guy only shows up after Wooly becomes a true sheep right? Like basically after Amanda is alone. It’s raining outside that why he is wearing a coat that means he was not hiding he just came. he was in hurry to stop you from continuing watching those tapes since Amanda or Hameln stop him from inside the tapes but as soon he made it you already destroyed the tv.
What if the old tapes when Amanda was in the forest, it was Amanda trying to show the player where her body is? Or in the other house, the one with grey walls and red doodles everywhere, its actually Sam's hideout where he is trying to figure out what happened to his daughter and how he can save her?
What if Wooly is Rebecca's good side? Being silenced and being killed by her demon. If Amanda is so evil possessed by demons wooly can be her angel, her mind, a part of her thats still sane wanting to help the player and also being scared when she knows Amanda is angry. I think when you enter lamb and Wooly gets shocked its because wooly knows that the kids get turned to meat, Rebecca is scared to be like them or that shes seen it happen. Scared that maybe your evil too.
Personally, i think the guy at the end might just be the containment specialist from the tape credits. Trying to contain the new Riley situation. Or trying to contain all the things Kate discovered before other ppl find out. I'm not a big fan of the wooly being rebecca/amanda's dad thing. But i also don't really think he's alive enpugh to suddenly break into your home. I personally like the idea of him being that barn that reacts when u input her father's name in the farm tape. But that's just a pet theory i'll be keeping til the update confirms or denies some of the theories that have been broached. I mean matpat didn't even bring up the fact that the back of the newspaper clip talked about the recent theft of a celtic artifact. Its entirely possible kate was getting into druid magic to try and stop hamln for good n fell victim to them instead.
I have a theory, in the tape *we can share* wooly is gone, maybe wooly broke free and tried to find Riley and if wooly is sam then that figure at the end might be sam, idk
Tbh I thought for a while, that it was the missing little brother and the only reason why, it’s because it was mentioned specifically to us. But I can see why I could be wrong here😅
To those saying they disagree, and there's nothing about the man, I think that leaves room for a part 2. The way it ended felt like an intentional cliffhanger, I watched his gameplay he did finish the true ending, and it's supposed to just be a theory... y'all need to chill. Anyways, there was a comment, saying that the man at the end could be a figure people see right before something traumatic happens. We do not know the identity of that being, meaning it may or may not even be Sam. As for Wooly, I think I agree with people saying it's probably a scientist trying to stop Amanda from exposing things. As seen with the birthday part, they have some control over their surroundings from within, and the reason why Wooly is uncredited makes sense here too. Or if it is Sam, being uncredited makes sense, being forcefully shut up in the barn part and with Amanda talking about secrets, Wooly is not supposed to exist it seems.
So from what I'm thinking mattpat missed the man at the end because after he got the final tape he didn't beat the game one last time he just went and looked into the wooly tape. So he doesn't even know about him possibly. Also it could just be voice actor coincidence but wooly could be the cop that found the tapes. He would be smart enough to learn Amanda's needs and keep her happy, would also explain why he wants to get away. Or another theory is the man in the coat is the cop that was in that tape trying to burn them and the fact that you survived the tapes he knows you can help him cause he needs someone who knew the victims involved to get closer.
I'm pretty sure Mat beat the game. He did see the man in the hat from what I saw. Personally, I think the idea of Wooly being Sam makes sense. It didn't make much sense to me that Hameln would put a deterrent like Wooly to calm down Amanda. However, if the person calming down Amanda was her father, it made more sense to me. Even before his death in "Oh No Accidents," he tries to tell Riley something important and is stopped by Amanda who appears out of nowhere. Why would Hameln allow anyone else to do this unless it was someone they already had gotten rid of, and they knew could be taken care of easily? If Wooly was just an employee of Hameln that had been transferred that could make sense, but why wouldn't Hameln just kill the employee who found out their dark deeds? Why pair them up with Amanda when they have no connection to her to begin with? While Amanda and Wooly don't seem to remember their past lives, Wooly at least seems to have an instinctual need to keep Amanda happy. An employee who just works for Hameln probably wouldn't. They just worked for the company. They may see that what's going on is wrong, but Amanda is just another kid to them. It is implied that there are several missing kids. If anything, an employee could see Amanda as being the cause, and even if they knew Rebecca was the soul behind her, they'd probably fear the demon more and wouldn't bother trying to relay important information to someone who watched the tape. It's already gotten them put in the tapes with a demonic entity to begin with. The man at the end could be Sam if Wooly isn't. However, there is also a chance that he's a whistleblower who worked at Hameln and knows how fucked they are. Someone was recording when Sam was asking "what is this?" and Rebecca first chanted the demon names. Could the man in red be connected? We don't know.
Alright i do agree with the other theorys he said but when he said that "Wooly is sam" I don't think he could be sam, When you type sam at the episode where wooly and amanda is at a barn(farm) and when you type in sam in the part where the chickens are or the first part wooly gets shocked and "Gasps" If he is Wooly then she wouldn't be too much mad at him since whenever amanda gets mad wooly tries to calm her down-ish, and she wouldn't be abusive(kinda) to her dad but if wooly is her dad it doesn't really kindaaa make sense tho and there are theories that wooly is actually evil and amanda is the good one also and wooly does want to help her and tried to keep her mind off the rotting part and whenever she gets emotional she gets angry and upset and sad i said angry since she might have anger for my opinion and also i said angry and upset cuz when wooly tried to speak to her when she was speaking about the rotting thing and wooly tried to speak to her she got mad anyways if i was wrong im sorry and some of this are my opinion ok bai ✨🤌
i think wooly is the long lost older brother of rebecca and either he was found by amanda, took him and made him wooly or hameln found and took him to experiment on him so to know if their plan with rebecca went flawlessly or not. Then sam heard or saw it happen and he ask wooly to protect rebecca bc he knew that they would possibly do this to rebecca. He would be older so he would act like how matpat says. remember that rebecca isnt sam's biological daughter and is adopted so its possible that she has a brother and they got separated. also sam says "despite what she's gone through, she's always seen the world with such bright colors" this could be referencing that.
My theory for the man at the end: Kate managed to escape from Amanda before being stolen and killed much like the other children but since she knew hamlen would recognise her, she put on a mask to hide her face. She returns to the attic to make sure we haven’t been killed by Amanda also the person putting their hands on their table could suggest they’re relaxing after running or something related to a wave of relief. This relief could be the relief of aunt Kate’s loved one still being alive after the deadly tapes.
Mike only coming out of one ear in my headphones scared me so bad, I thought they had broken. Then MatPat's video was normal and now I have more questions than answers
So my idea for when Amanda says "I'm out there, somewhere" she means the monster because even though us the player knows about the monster, Riley doesn't
I believe Wooly is GEORGE Joanna's brother that was taken; that's the only one that makes sense to me, but that's my thought on the matter. Geroge is the only young boy that was taken. When you first play the game and Kate the aunt had the letter from Joanna trying to find her brother--it's clear as day who he is so to say that Wooly is the Sam I don't buy it, if anything the mysterious guy at the end is the father! He was "missing" for three weeks hence he was hiding from HAMELN and working with Kate to stop what they are doing to all these kids that have disappeared. We need to locate Rebbeca Sam's daughter, who unfortunately died... I believe she is somewhere out there...
my theory is that from all the demos, those are all different people that went through watching the show and being killed by amanda, which is why every room looks different, because it’s another persons room
I really don't think Sam is Wooly, especially with how Amanda treats him. I honestly have no idea if he's a bad guy or if in reality someone who got mixed up in all of this, but the part where Amanda says "it's all just pretend. Isn't it wooly?" she feels like that's what Wooly has been telling her this whole time to keep her at bay. I don't necessarily think he's entirely evil, but I think he had some sort of hand in this. Maybe he was the one that was recording outside the room in that one tape. Now he needs to keep Amanda and the demons at bay to the best of his abilities without getting us, Rebecca, or himself hurt.
I mentioned the Pied Piper in the comments on one of your videos. I also put the pieces together when I heard the name Hameln (plus I never knew it was spelled that way)
8:34 what about mango ice cream? That aside there's still a lot that needs explanations Who is blabbot? Who is the doll? Why does blabbot know about Kate? Why does the demon let us go in some endings and kill us in other? And what about if you choose wrong name instead of wooly two or more times for the present/birthday his name changes to ????? And he replies" gosh you really forgot?" What connection do we have with wooly? Do we know him?
Fun fact:in Amanda they put a rotting tape and when Amanda says does everything rot and you say yes she is actually the fox and she is rotting somewhere. Another fun fact in the last tape Amanda says which food do you like and the food is moldy like her dead body and Amanda says I'm out there because she is❤
When I saw the game theory I thought it was odd he missed the man in the true ending where he is behind the table, and I also thought wooly being Sam was strange.

(IE: How much is based on the actual context of the game and not abridged ideas from other people)
Idk how much the 100% completion bonus is common knowledge but I'm assuming maybe he missed that cause it's not at that point of not being a secret anymore.

Okay that one's funny
I'm not sure about Sam being Wooly, but i can see where the theory comes from. Especially because Wooly isn't in the show credits. They don't want anyone knowing who he is.
But the man in the hat definitely seems to be Sam
I am pretty sure the person at the end is the person who told Kate about the disappearances.
@@alekseiplaying not really since that kid could be just another child disapeared
@RobloxGuy69420 maybe, but I do have another theory. The hat man could be someone sent by Hamlyn to shut Riley up because they know that Riley knows something. Hat man is dressed kind of like a P.I. and they enter the attic quite aggressively
@@shadow_leaf7965 I am thinking 65% that the person is good and they rushed in from the explosion sound
True
man this comment is underrated
The video explains why he doesn’t though.
i agree with your statement but wooly came on screen by saying do you trust me than he will wait for your answer like yes or no and than in the demo types he wants us or you as riley to burn the tapes.
@@pixelpup01 Why he doesn't what?
Personally, I think Sam's soul is trapped in the barn, considering it freaks out really bad if you guess "Sam" when asked what the daddy chicken's name is.
I don't think so because Mike replayed that tape and didn't enter Sam's name into the prompt the second time and it still was freaking out.

@@vishalraj8071 the chicken doesn't react
@@thegameplayers494 they literally stare at you
i honestly think that Wooly was just the first victim amongst the others. my theory is that since Wooly was the first victim, they didn’t know what to do with him, so they decided to make him a character in the show. once they started to realize that Wooly was becoming more self-aware over time, they made the other victims the eyes we see on all the buildings and meat, etc. they kept Wooly because they knew little kids were gonna ask where Wooly went if they got rid of him. but once Wooly started to try and warn us, they knew they had to get rid of him, so they did. so he was kind of like an “experiment” victim.
I like this theory
@@Cien_ciyen thank you :)
that would make sense for why he was turned into a normal sheep at the end of the farm episode
Warning for lots of reading below it’s just a theory lol
I think when MatPat kept referring to Rebecca/Amanda to be the lonely kitten he was missing a few pieces in between, one of those demons that were mentioned, Bael, turns into a cat to manipulate people, he even pointed it out very briefly while reading about him during the livestreams, which makes sense because when you agree to help the, “Lonely Kitten,” you get trapped in the butcher shop.
I thought the mask was a hat which also make sense when the ending has a hat but it’s such a low poly model but it looks like Sam Colton to be honest
I think Sam is wooly and this is a very interesting addition
The secret ending was confirmed to be a joke lol

No I agree
I agree I can see wooly and Amanda being more sibling like
I don't think a company would put "we will use your kid to be the host of a demon and also will do anything to prevent you from stopping us" in their contract.
One thing Mat is missing, the red hat man from the attic
Even if that giy apears we still don't know about them
I mean, he only appears for like 2 seconds, not really enough to make a theory on.
i mean he got the ending. my guess is that he is waiting for the new update, as it doesn't affect his theory at all unless you belive that sam is the man instead of wooly, then it does.
what if that IS Sam.
Bro I love the fact that he post everyday just for us bro. We love you Mike!
I have a theory: Amanda is an alternate & she replaced MatPat to spread her lies about Wooly. WE MUST SAVE THE SHEEP BOI!
Considering the other most popular theory (currently) is that Wooly is an employee from Hameln maybe 'We Must NOT save sheep boiii'.
(I'm actually team 'Save Sheep Boi' but I'm warning you to be wary of a possible betrayal)
@HAt_Sauce I'm not gonna rule out the idea of Wooly being an alternate, because they could both be in disguise.
yes
@@hat_sauce3846 He can't be a Hameln employee because he's clearly against the company, telling someone to burn tapes is not something a employee would do

I have a theory about the man in the hat:
So there's this thing where people irl will see a dark shadow like man, 6ft tall, in a hat with a trench coat, some people claiming him to have red eyes.
I like this idea over a bad wooly idea js bc he's cute lmao
Sheep are also linked to demons- notably the demons Rebecca was possibly summoning

I have a reason for this, when you type the daddy chicken’s name as Sam, the house stops breathing heavily and turns it’s eyes to the camera, and Amanda says ‘wait how do you kno-‘
not a bad theory!

Great theory!
But then who is the guy after gathering the 5 tapes? In the ending?
Or it could be interpreted as fellow child not feeling comfortable of a knife being present and an oven being used and on without supervision
7:50 😂 Eyy set Clarence up with Lauren’s creepy doll- I feel like they would have a lot in common. Anyways very fun reaction video!

Fun fact the doll at the secret tape looks like the doll that is in the competition of the most cursed dolls on the world
On the "in your neighbourhood tape" if you look at the yellow lines in the road you will see a bit missing in the shape of a hand ✋️ there are 5 bodies not 4.
Props to Little Nightmares for not using the whole "child's soul possessing childhood mascot" trope.
the theroy in short:wolly is Amanda father, because of how protecteteive he is and how whenever Amanda starts to make things dark, wolly trys to make Amanda return to a bright happy show
at this point i'll just think of wooly as amalgamation of ai, sheep, human and demon trying to fight and work together with each other in one body to manipulate amanda for their own different reasons. but its a moot point since amanda already fixed wooly's broken head so wooly's probably in his final form idling forever peacefully in that secret tape like a true sheep. or he's already digested by amanda so amanda can achieve her ultimate form.

Edit: now that I've seen the whole video, I also have a problem with Matt's theory. I'm explaining this poorly lmao, but wish he had got into that
Yeah ngl I dont think that hes the demon or the dad because the behavior doesnt match up why would the demon try to stop us from watching the tapes and why would amanda hurt her father it just doesn't line up
daily dose of Amanda the adventure theories 😃✨
As soon as Mike mentioned his fav ice cream flavor is cookies and cream I immediately paused on drinking water and said "SAAAAAAME"
i believe wooly is another kids soul that's trapped, and he knows what's going on.
6:08 I will NEEEEEVEERRRR forget that episode. That one was HILARIOUS 🤣🤣🤣
I actually don’t think Wooly is Sam since Rebecca wouldn’t be so aggressive toward him if that’s the case
Yeah I totally agree
But the monster is forcing Rebecca to be mean
@@khmerleftysbassplayer7278 No, she seemingly is in control when she attacks Wooly
Maybe Wooly is Sam and the reason why Amanda “hates” him and wants to hurt him so much is because the company managed to brainwash her and made her believe Sam is the bad guy
Don't hate on mint chocolate chip ice cream. You just can't handle breathing in 4K when you eat something
its how it feels to chew 5 gum the ice cream flavor
@@BijuuMike You aren't wrong but breathing in 4K is underrated
WARNING: SPOILERS! - There is a code on a book saying: Who is wooly?
I think this is why the credits never mentioned woolie’s VA. We don’t know if wooly is good or bad because we don’t know who he is really.
That’s another puzzle to solve 😭😭
We need a whole game of mat the adventurer
Chocolate*
Fun fact: Hameln has a slogan: FOLLOW us to fun. That confirms Matpats theory
The way Mike named my two favorite flavors when he said the best flavors of ice cream. :o
so in the demo of amanda the adventurer , amanda said that she's coming as to mention that she will come after us, but when the full game came out, she will say i'm out there somewhere, which she signalifies that her body is buried.
but i don't know that's my thought.
17:06 there were no terms back in whatever this was they were just like HEY WE CAN MAKE YOU A CARTOON NO STRINGS ATTATCHED
I think it’s very plausible that that could be Amanda’s dad (the hooded dude at the end) seeing how in the interview he mentioned Riley’s aunt Kate. Him and our aunt might’ve been close and so he knows where her house is. And so he came to her house knowing he could find help there.
Maybe the man is Sam's real body, just like how Amanda's body is out in the real world
And perhaps Sam got his soul back in his body once he died in the tape.
(Just a possibility)
Also, I'd imagine that the people from the previous games were just different people, in different houses
I think that wooly is a worker for hamlen from the fact that he tries to keep Amanda on track and Amanda tries to hurt him a lot of times.
Cant wait for a part 2 of this game theory
Any Ice Cream favor with "cookie" in the name is an immediate S Tier Favor.
Bijuu Mike, the reason that the man in the older version said "Is someone following me?" Is because it's not the man that was trying to burn the tape. It's another person that wasn't burning the tapes at all.
We gotta go yell at matpat to include the red hat man, it's the only way
I don't think Sam is Wooly, I think it's the bloodshot barn that looks at you when you say Sam
(For the short version, check my reply)
Ok, it’s been a while since I looked into Amanda the Adventurer game and lore, so please forgive me if my little theory on the game has a few inaccuracies. (Please point them out if you see them, thanks!)
So, I just did some research on the story, “Pied Piper of Hamelin”, there are a few slightly different versions, but they all just about follow the same understanding.
[almost forgot to mention, but in one of the tellings of the story, the Pied Piper lead the children into the same river as the rats]
So Wooly is the main instrument that brought the Rat and 130 children into the River.
The fish lure is put into the river, and gets attached to the Wooly Part, while as the Fishing Pole stays in the Real World, this is something the Silver Flute can only do.]
So!
Matpat:Im Hiding In Your Closet
Me:I Don't HAVE A Closet😏
What if the old tapes when Amanda was in the forest, it was Amanda trying to show the player where her body is?
Or in the other house, the one with grey walls and red doodles everywhere, its actually Sam's hideout where he is trying to figure out what happened to his daughter and how he can save her?
23:58 did someone notice THE PURPLE TAPE THE ONE EVERYONE HAST TO HACK TO FIND
But I can see why I could be wrong here😅
Who else got fucking jump-scared when Mat Pat pull up out of the closet
Or another theory is the man in the coat is the cop that was in that tape trying to burn them and the fact that you survived the tapes he knows you can help him cause he needs someone who knew the victims involved to get closer.
my left ear is loving the audio
If Amandas body(dead) "is out there somewhere" wouldn't that mean Rebeccas body is out somewhere??
8:31 I totally agree and my favorite ice cream is cookies and cream/oreo
My theory for the man at the end: Kate managed to escape from Amanda before being stolen and killed much like the other children but since she knew hamlen would recognise her, she put on a mask to hide her face. She returns to the attic to make sure we haven’t been killed by Amanda also the person putting their hands on their table could suggest they’re relaxing after running or something related to a wave of relief. This relief could be the relief of aunt Kate’s loved one still being alive after the deadly tapes.
Amanda is just like a pshycolagical theory that a unreal cartoon is commiting homicides (I’m right because their a big words)
I personally think that Wooly is more of an older brotherly figure then a parent. I definitely think the guy at the end is Sam.
Speaking of FNAF, you should play the Security Breach DLC when it comes out!
He did get the true ending in his playthrough, he just chose not to cover it for some reason.
That's because if he do then there is nowhere to fit that misterious guy
my theory is that from all the demos, those are all different people that went through watching the show and being killed by amanda, which is why every room looks different, because it’s another persons room
Ok, but Mike's opinion on ice cream is actually epic. Cookies and Cream forever!! 🍪 x 🍦
*grabs gun* ...
Those are names of demons
Bye yell - Baël
Pie man - Paimon
Baa lamb - Balam
I mentioned the Pied Piper in the comments on one of your videos. I also put the pieces together when I heard the name Hameln (plus I never knew it was spelled that way)
Dude, it's been so long since I saw Clarence again. I forgot how horrifying he was.
8:34 what about mango ice cream?
That aside there's still a lot that needs explanations
Who is blabbot?
Who is the doll?
Why does blabbot know about Kate?
Why does the demon let us go in some endings and kill us in other?
And what about if you choose wrong name instead of wooly two or more times for the present/birthday his name changes to ????? And he replies" gosh you really forgot?" What connection do we have with wooly? Do we know him?
Fun fact:in Amanda they put a rotting tape and when Amanda says does everything rot and you say yes she is actually the fox and she is rotting somewhere.
