Honestly, after seeing the story of this game, I actually realize that this game is an allegory for the dark side of children’s entertainment as Amanda the adventure used to be a beloved show on public access made by an honest man who was inspired by his adopted daughter and her joyful imaginative personality but later ends up making getting approached by the wrong people who ends up ruining his and his daughter’s lives with demonic influences, which, as a result causes his “disappearance” and his daughter being used as nothing more than a component for a ritual and it’s honestly heartbreaking to see

It might just be me but everything leads to Rebecca having been beheaded.
When you mention Sam, Amanda recognises the name, hinting at the fact she still has some sort of memory of being Rebecca. When she is sent into the butcher shop she seems terrified. If we believe she has small memories of being Rebecca, then we can assume that something traumatic must have happened at the shop.
Also, the Blabberbot's head pops off when you pour water on it, and the Doll's head must be cut off. The Doll also has a very similar voice to Rebecca
There are also many subtle hints - when the tapes glitch, Amanda's head is usually separated from her body.
Amanda also cuts Wooly's head off during the surgery scene.
Possibly, Hameln sacrificed Rebecca's body to the entity by beheading her. The entity also seems to have only Amanda's head, as we can tell by the hair. Her soul could be stuck in the show whilst her body is dead, which could work as she said she believes she is 'slowly rotting'.

  • @brianataylorYASitsBriBriLolz
    @brianataylorYASitsBriBriLolz 11 месяцев назад +257

I think the way Hamelin used & sacrificed Rebecca made her feel like just *meat*, especially after she was killed & that’s what the butcher shop represents. Also why she refers to herself as “rotting” & why she says she’s “somewhere.” She can ~feel~ her body some where “far away,” rotting like old meat. 😬💔

You have to wonder about Rebecca’s life before Sam. He said she’d gone through a lot, but doesn’t elaborate. Then in the farm episode, Amanda mentions some mommies eat their babies. Could Rebecca’s biological mom have murdered Rebecca’s sibling? Or been particularly abusive?

She was trapped within the tapes as well, but because she wasn't killed beforehand like Sam and Rebecca, she was able to return after Riley intervened. And if this is true, it stands to reason that all the others who got trapped in the tapes were freed as well. Sadly, because Sam and Rebecca were both probably killed before being trapped, they were probably still dead. However, they could at least now rest in peace since their souls were freed.

"Hamelin" clearly stands for the children fable, Pied Piper of Hamelin, in which a piper played a music to drive out rats from a town in exchange for a reward, when denied, he played a music to drive the children out, never to be seen again. So besides the demonic relation, is possible they are using Amanda's videos to take children who watch it for whatever evil purposes they have in mind.

Librarians need a masters degree for their job and are insanely good at research. 1. Sam Colton
Sam is just trying to protect his daughter, just like Wooly. Also, in the "true" ending, you can see a presumed man jumping at the screen and then disappearing after. Then, once you destroy the tape, IMMEDIATELY AFTER, a guy comes in. I think that could have been Sam Colton freed from the tapes.
    2. A doctor/employee trying to keep Amanda in the tapes
He is trying to keep Amanda from releasing the demon. Also, in the credits of "oh no accidents", there is a doctor in the credits. But why is there a doctor on a.. kids show? Maybe because that's wooly. And, Amanda literally says to wooly, "it's all just pretend, isn't it?" to show that Wooly is lying to amanda about being her friend. That might show why Amanda is trying to kill him too.

Nah wooly being Sam doesn’t make sense because wooly tried to prevent Amanda from calling for help tried forcing her not to talk to the player about her life and asks her to bring more “friends” to the neighborhood. I think wooly is balaam.
      1. He has powers and can control or dictate not only Amanda’s thoughts as seen on the glitched birthday card episode and your own responses, he just chooses NOT to use them.
      2. He asks amanda to bring more “friends” to the neighborhood even tho u have to kidnap them to bring them
      3. He asks for special treats from the bakery which the bakery will occasionally glitch into the butcher if the victims become meat then that would mean the “special treats” he’s talking about Is indeed the victims
      4. Also we can see him eating what seems to be mint ice cream right after Lauren disappears after being asked about mint ice cream
I think wooly is balaam the 1 out of 3 bosses for this game I think every game there’s going to be a new animal friend for Amanda and wooly is just balaam. Perhaps we will have to face paimon and the other demon she chanted

Wooly isn't Sam.. He's an employee to contain Amanda. You can see in the credits of episodes there is an "containment" part that it cuts to. This is why Amanda also mocks him when she drugs him saying "It's all just pretend". This is my theory on Wooly. He is evil.

43:21 This tape is why I find it more likely that wooly is Sam than an employee. While Wooly’s desperate plea to have the viewer trust them may be an attempt to get them to help Amanda calm down, it’s also plausible that it’s Sam trying to protect the viewer by giving them advice on how to avoid getting trapped in the tape or something relating to Hameln. Though, since we never find out why he wanted us to trust him, it’s frustratingly difficult to determine his true intentions.

So the dynamic voice response system is what allows the cartoon to hear the kids' responses and then respond in kind? Like the little girl and the mint chocolate chip icecream?
I wonder what all Rebecca has "gone through" prior to being adopted by Sam. It makes me think she always had some paranormal sensitivities.
Also - it still bugs me that BlabBot says to "give my condolences to Kate". Why would you send condolences to someone who is already presumably dead?

    • @ShadowNinetales
      @ShadowNinetales 11 месяцев назад +39

Maybe BlabBot wants Riley to pass on its condolences to Kate if Riley dies too and reunites with Kate's soul, wherever it's ended up? Otherwise yeah, the dead person themself isn't usually the one getting the condolences lol.
And the 'dynamic voice response system' was either a total façade to cover up the fact that the lines Rebecca was reading were a spell to summon the demon, OR perhaps, as you've suggested, it was also used in some technical way in the tapes, blending actual technology with paranormal weirdness.

I've heard other theories though that Wooly is actually a Hameln worker who is put in the show to keep Rebecca in-character as Amanda. It's why he tries to steer Amanda back on script in some tapes (the alternate 'In Your Neighbourhood' and 'Everything Rots') because she talks about her death and hints the truth behind Hameln. For exmaple after she said "Something bad happened" (14:50 - the "bad" being Amanda dying and the missing children) Wooly dismisses it, explaining to the viewer that shes just confused. Nothing evil occured. Wooly doesn't have a voice actor credit in the show because this is kept a secret.
Remember the saying, "Wolf in sheep's clothing"?
I guess we will find out more when the 2nd game comes out.

@@BabyGirlTiny That's honestly a good question because it really doesn't make that much sense (they even put Wooly on one of the covers of the game without Amanda). Maybe it has to do with Rebecca's will or maybe it has to do with the contract that the entity made with Hamelin? I'm not one hundred percent sure.
Another thing I wonder about is the butcher/butcher shop. What exactly does it either symbolize or is supposed to be because it almost comes out of nowhere to the point that sometimes you forget about it until you're forced into it with or without Amanda.

I have to wonder if Rebecca's body might not be dead, perhaps instead on life support in Hamelin's facilities? She mentions how her own "rotting" feels far away, which could be literal in that her body is separated from her "soul" by the "distance" of being in an alternate dimension, but could also mean in the temporal sense of "far away", suggesting her body isn't dead YET because it's being kept alive, but the separation from her soul has caused it to start rotting because it SHOULD be dead.
There's also the fact that she says "Rotting". Present participle. It's happening NOW. If she was already dead, a death which would've occurred years ago if she died shortly after her father's "disappearance", then her body would've long since rotted away unless it was being preserved in some way.
I also have to wonder about what exactly Kate's role in all of this was. Amanda clearly views Kate as a friend, evidenced by the gift and thank you card she tries to send to Kate and how distressed she seems to be over both forgetting Kate's name and the thought that something bad has happened to Kate, but why does she see Kate as a friend and what did she want to thank Kate for? It could be as pointed out, Kate was a friend of Sam's and Rebecca's, but it could also be due to why Kate has the tapes. Has she been viewing them? Did she communicate with Amanda and Wooly? Could it be that she helped keep Amanda more stable, and her loss helped trigger her degradation and this the Entity gaining more control? Is that what Amanda wanted to thank her for?
Another question is How did Kate die? We're never told, but given that Amanda says "Something bad happened", I have to wonder if Kate's death wasn't natural. Maybe Amanda relapsed and the demon got Kate, or more likely, Hamelin got to her. Which would also partially explain the Detective's presence - If they ARE the whistleblower and have been working with Kate, they'd have known about her death and perhaps that Riley might find and watch the tapes, so either were there to try and save us, or were there to take the tapes BEFORE we could watch them but were too late.
This is probably one of the better indie horror series to come out in some time, and I do hope we get more in the future, the story is compelling and so much we don't know....

I believe this is why only children are being entranced and taken by Hameln, seeing as the parents will watch Amanda with their kids but go unaffected.

Is it possible Woolie isn’t a stand-in for Sam, but for the demonic entity? You could say that the entity (as Woolie) is attempting to pacify Rebecca so it can gather more souls in it’s pocket dimension, and knows that Rebecca has the strength to rebel to ask for help. This could also explain why Woolie tries to disuade her so many times from sending a package to Kate, who knew Sam and Rebecca and is implied to be a paranormal PI, and why he looked sad when Riley provides the right name. If Woolie was Sam, wouldn’t he want to encourage Kate (and now Riley) to intervene and help them get away from a demonic entity?
Edit: Also, I wanted to mention that I can’t help but smile with Sam when he talks about his show transitioning to cartoon; his excitement is contagious in a way!

Long theory: At first I thought wooly may have been the doctor but now I’ve looked deeper into the game and I’m almost certain he’s actually balaam
    1. We know he tries to prevent Amanda from calling for help
    2. He does indeed have powers he chooses not to use and whenever he’s seen using them it comes with a multicolored glitch whenever he stops the card stands or forces u to type in his name or when he forces Amanda to think differently (keep in mind he does wink at u when he does this as if he’s saying “shhh “)
    3. He does ask Amanda to bring more friends even though the only way to bring them is by kidnapping them this is why Amanda just ignores what he says ENTIRLEY.
    4. He asks Amanda to give him special treats. At first this doesn’t seem like much until u realize that Occasionally the bakery will turn into the butcher and in the picnic episode the cupcakes turn into meat this would mean that the butcher and the bakery are the exact same thing and that these “special treats” are actually human meat from the victims.(also keep in mind wooly smiles in the butcher)
    5. When amanda turns into the demon in the lonely kitten wooly points at her then his wool disappears and seemingly appears on Amanda’s face while he’s stuck(demons need a host)
    6. When wooly asks if you trust him he holds out his hand why?? It’s not like he can just pull u in (unless he can)and amanda is protecting the viewer by coming to the show early so he doesn’t pull you in.
    6. The shows theme disappears when he’s gone and Hameln made this show for the demon specifically so it would make sense for the show to lose everything when they lost the “host” of it
    7. Wooly always comes back unscathed for some reason even after he gets hurt… the demon balaam has powers of immortality and a fruit that is tied with immortality is peaches

Wooly is literally a wolf in a sheep's clothing.

also, amandas demon form is distinguished by having what appears to be wool over her eyes (as seen in the endings and when you wont help the kitten).
Also, i think that the demon amanda could be bael, but the only reason i think this is because there are frequent refernces to pies (the first tape) which is used to spell out "pie man", aka paimon, and "baa lamb" is seen within wooly. This leaves bael ("bye yell") to be amanda as that particular demon seems to be extremely loud, as seen in the true ending. but these are just thoughts i haven't really formed a solid theory on this.

Then what do you think he was trying to warn us about? Just trying to trick us into getting into the game, make us think he’s a victim of Amanda, or if he’s also fused with a demon

@@adeleaslan8182 this is my take. The entire episodes everytime Amanda tried telling us the truth he gaslit, interrupted and interfered everytime. So when he was alone with the player he wanted to “warn” us not to listen to her he wanted to know if we trusted him enough not to believe the stuff she was saying. I kinda think he’s either the demon itself or a worker only cuz the demon is a sheep and he is a sheep but he also has powers in the tape. Amanda having powers is easily explained the demon is within her but wooly there is no explanation he just HAS powers and u won’t be able to notice unless u actually pay attention to him

*Wooly being Aunt Kate* is a more likely Option, and explains some _other Aspects of the Tapes and the puzzles presented with them:_
Amanda is *sending a Card to Kate* in 'In the Neighbourhood', and in its Alternate Version, _it's a Birthday Card for Wooly_ - yet when you put the Code into Blabbot, it tells Riley *"SEND MY CONDOLENCES TO KATE",* followed by _offering a Birthday Cake_ you need to add Candles to, implying that _the Birthday is for Kate;_
    The *other key point* to Kate investigating HamelN Entertainment is because _when Sam disappeared and HamelN took control_ of the Show, their first Announcement was *to Cancel a Fundraising Event being held at Kate Parks' Library,* 'Wooly's Read-Along' - something _Sam and Rebecca would've prevented_ if they had any choice;
We still have *no clear answer* as to why Kate simply Vanished, but given _her side-hobby of Paranormal Investigation,_ she'd have known to *set a Fail-safe* if she were caught - that being _the calling for Riley to finish her work Exposing HamelN..._
I think I might also know *where Sam fits into all of this:* When Sam tried to pull Rebecca out of HamelN's manipulations, they _wouldn't yet_ have properly enlisted the Demon's support - they'd have to deal with him... *another way...*
Another unusual abnormality in the Game is _why the Attic rearranges itself seemingly to assist_ in piecing the Story together - if it was the Demon, it'd be easier for it to *let Riley just watch the Show* and be Taken like the other Victims! Instead, someone is interacting with Riley _outside_ of the Show, where the Demon has Influence: *This,* I believe, is the _restless Spirit of Sam Colton_ trying to *exact Vengeance on HamelN Entertainment for their Corruption of his Daughter and Show from Beyond the Grave!*
