The game actually implies that it was Audrey who released the Ink Demon from his Bendy form, when she zapped him with her hand, weakening the seal Wilson and the Keepers put on him.

I think that the Ink Demon was switching to his Bendy form from time to time because, at his core, he still wanted to be what Drew created him. He wanted a purpose. He wanted to be loved by his creator - and it seems that he was jealous of Audrey, the perfect creation, for having a purpose and getting recognition while he was locked away and tortured. His final speech, "You're a mistake, a monster. Like me" kinda gives that away and makes him look like a neglected, abused child, angry about his younger sister getting all the love and care from his parents, while he never did. So, lil Bendy is the manifestation of that child-like hope and curiosity he once had - maybe whatever horrible things Keepers did to him made him remember that feeling and revert to it. As a side-effect, the Ink Demon started unknowingly reverting, either due to Keepers' tech or to some subconscious triggers. This is why I'm glad that Bendy finally got some kind of happy ending for himself by being effectively "reborn" into the real world with a big sis at his side. Who knows how he would have turned out if he had been treated decently by Drew and the rest.

35:24 What I like the most was how 'alice' was later on killed in her pursuit of perfection, only to see her doppelganger and realize how beautiful she really was/could have been. I loved how in her final moments she seemed calm, shocked to see how perfect Allison's face was. And when Allison told her 'always were' it made me feel sympathy for Alice. She only wanted to be the best version of what she was, even if it meant destroying everything and one around her. She let her obsession control her life but finally found peace when she was later killed after all these years
I think Allison meant to say that Alice has always been beautiful, maybe not by the...symetrical and less deformed standards, but if she looked past thoes, really deep in herself, beauty was always there, both in soul and in body
I’m so glad that this actually made the story of both Bendy games make sense. The first game was cool, but clearly missing many cohesive pieces, and Dark Revival is absolutely stunning, but I struggled to understand what the actual storyline was. The fact that the Ink Machine is essentially a purgatory machine is NUTS. It all makes sense now, and it really makes me look at the games in a different light, and with far more admiration
I woulda liked if they kept the story focused on "Discount Walt Disney sacrifices people to bring characters to life in the name of playing god and making profits". Simple plots often reap fantastic executions. Don't get me wrong though, I still think they did a good job with the direction they decided to take things!

Everyone at first thought that this game was going to be darker than the original. But it was turned the opposite. This game showed Joey’s Created Daughter going through his creation and battling enemy just as Henry did before her. Plus it answered much of the questions, such as the Cycle. If there is another game, it may answer even more questions. Plus, the inky world is now safe from the ink demon and Wilson.
I mean,there's probably going to be a sequel,since Audrey said that "Joe's world is escaping into our world." Plus,we never did see what's under Betty's mask. Why do I talk about Betty so much. Does anyone even like her? If you like her,please tell me,I don't know if anyone else likes her but me.

So, in the ending, Audrey took over the Ink Demon's body and played the Last Reel. This led to Audrey being sent back to the real world, Bendy being permanently in his cartoon form (living with Audrey), and everyone in Joey Drew Studios living in peace. Huh. So that's what Sammy Lawrence meant when he said the Ink Demon will set them free.

I love it that Wilson is basically trying to hide away the originals who had a big purpose in the original cycle. I think that when Sammy Lawrence noticed that henry was familiar to him, it changed the cycle a bit. These characters knew what the cycle was and Wilson knew that if they were able to remember what the place was once like, they can break the cycle. Making Wilson powerless.
Not just Sammy, but also Alice Angel, pretty sure seeing her again would trigger a cycle or two for Henry. There has to be a thick binder of logs detailing a million cycles from the major to minor occurrences with long detailed notes about how to design a certain prison cell and why.
Fun fact: The audio log that SHB mentions at 21:57 is actually voiced by Mike himself, two other in-game audio logs were voiced by jacksepticeye and Dawko! Really glad that after all his dedication to Bendy lore, Mike's hard work finally pays off :)

I wonder if Allison is mistaken about Tom being distrusting of strangers. In the first game he mentioned that he was not comfortable with what the Gent Co was doing for Joey Drew, but when he became part of the inky abyss it really struck him just how much he was partially responsible for. He helped the company create a Purgatory for the workers of Joey Drew Studios, and now it is difficult for him to be around anyone in the machine because every time he sees them he is faced with the reality of what he did to them. He has changed his ways, but he will never stop regretting his actions.
We are shown a letter in Joey's house at the end of the first game addressed after the closure in this video from Allison, who's now married to Tom. So neither of them are actually in the Ink world. We know Joey made a copy of Allison, I think Tom is a mix of that and maybe some imprinted memories from the real people (we know memories can be imprinted because of Joey's existence in BATDR) (The letter is at 19:36 if you want to read)
When Allison comforts Alice as she dies it warms my heart the last thing Alice heard was that she was beautiful and she was always beautiful in her own way
The torture and pain Bendy was put through by the Keepers is just absolutely horrible. I literally wanted to cry when I read the dialogue, especially when it says “using lengths of steel wire to cut into the side of his body, he now registers emotional responses. There were tears of ink documented. Screams of pain.” Like WHAT, I FELT BAD BEFORE BUT NOW I FEEL TEN TIMES WORSE😭! Bendy never deserved any of the stuff that he went through, he didn’t ask to be made and was never given a chance to be anything but a monster.
@@lj5545 Indeed, he was just harmlessly chilling in Thomas' office until Joey saw him and locked him up for being a "grinning thing" when in fact Bendy had no control over how he was made. It's no wonder that Bendy can relate to Audrey also being created as an ink creature between life and death.
The concept that Bendy learned to feel - not through human connection, but through torture - is pretty horrific. He goes from a soulless, speechless husk to a talking, feeling, intelligent creature by being put through unimaginable pain. That the personality he develops is one of hatred and vengeance is no surprise. Here is an idea: maybe "good Bendy" isn't an entirely novel personality at all. For the first time, Bendy is taken out of the body he was despised and stigmatised for and placed in the form Joey Drew originally intended for him. This might give him access to emotions he simply wasn't able to explore previously. So Bendy invents himself anew. However, my question is whether the final "good Bendy" is really disconnected from the Ink Demon? Maybe Audrey has simply accepted him as the thing he is (after all, she's literally seen him from the inside).
Here is a small thing that I don’t think you covered Sammy is labeled as a cycle breaker for some reason. I think this is because he has shown to remember past cycles. Based on previous theories we can conclude that Sammy wouldn’t recognize Henry (and even if he was he wouldn’t be able to tell if it was Henry due to the ink). This makes him a cycle breaker by remembering past cycles. Still…sad to see him done dirty in this game.
His lore is actually so cool. Between the books and the games, he’s definitely a well explored and discussed character, but i think we don’t have everything! The idea of him being a cycle breaker is also super cool. Alice Angel also might fall unto this cool lore basket with him. Because she knows Henry’s name, she knows who he is, she knows why he’s here (she says it herself in the first game) which implied she also remembered. They are very cool. They have so much depth as characters compared to everyone else, and i love that. We need content just about them. Not only do they share some cool lore snippits, like being cycle breakers. But they have history together. They have an implied relationship of sorts (all implications come from Alice’s dialogue). I would pay so much for a book just about them, or from their perspectives.
Yeah it’s just disappointing how he have a good information about Sammy yet he is used as a joke character in this game even in his cell where we see him do the thing he loves and is great at (playing the banjo) he is very off key
I think the reason Sammy is titled a “Cycle Breaker” is because he was one of the people which lead Henry to break the cycle. Anyone who had helped Henry get to the point to reset the Cycle was taken just in case.

16:44 what I find kinda neat about this line in particular is that in BATIM, Allison says this same thing to Henry in chapter 5. Let me elaborate further on this. In chapter 4 of BATDR, we learned how Joey used to be bitter until an “Angel” came into his life, changed his perspective of things, and that “angel” was Allison Pendle. I think this just kinda plays into how Joey has now learned from some of his mistakes, and how much Allison made an impact in his life.
speaking of wich, seems like it is true the theory that the past versions of bendy are Canon, or that there are bad endings such as in chapter 4 alice angel catching you, as there supposedly wasn't an allison to kill the angel. JOEY was worthy to walk with angels.
If they make a third game, I really hope they go the route of the Ink Demon siding with Audrey. Baby Bendy is already Audrey's friend, so imagine if, thanks to Audrey, Baby Bendy can now control the transformation between Ink Demon and cartoon. He'd be a great ally to have, especially since Audrey isn't treating him like how Joey, GENT, the Keepers, and Wilson treated him. While they all only saw the Ink Demon as a failure, a monster, and a mistake, Audrey sees the Ink Demon for what his is: an abused, tortured victim of circumstance who seems to only really want someone to accept him as a living creature, not as a soulless abomination. Baby Bendy could even just be a sort of 2nd player, like in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Like Bowser Jr., maybe Baby Bendy could run around and help solve puzzles for Audrey since he's a cartoon, but in a battle, he can turn into the Ink Demon for short amounts of time to give Audrey some brawn alongside her brains. Baby Bendy probably won't end up "dying" like Audrey - maybe he just gets put to sleep if he runs out of health and Audrey has to bring him to a thick ink well or something to heal him. Ink Bendy's invincibility could even be like a sort of "Rage Mode," where the Ink Demon gets complete invulnerability for a few seconds in a battle and can wreak havoc on his enemies if he gets low on health. Not to mention Beast Bendy, being an invincible tank, could pose a great help for a final battle. Maybe it could be like the final battle in Bowser's Fury, where you have to chase down your adversary in the ink world as they speed away and Beast Bendy can go in for a hit.
I very much agree with this. Despite literally being the title character, Bendy himself hasn't really gotten much of a character arc of his own compared to Henry, Allison, Joey and Audrey. We already knew from the first game that Bendy was turned into a monster from being locked away and deemed a failure, not because he is inherently evil. Really hope we got more story starring the titular dancing demon becoming a hero rather than his namesake.

That's a pretty amazing idea! Although I would probably leave the transformations between Bendy and the Ink Demon arbitrary and uncontrollable. If the Ink Demon became a "useable" character, it would take away a lot of his mystique. Playing as little Bendy might then be an even more interesting experience, since you would never know for how long his littleness will last. I do agree though that making the Ink Demon an ally (or at least a semi-ally) would be fantastic! Or maybe making him an imposing villain with a soft spot for Audrey.
Yknow, one thing a lot of people seem to dislike about the game is how some characters didn’t get enough screen time, but I kinda like it that way. It makes the environment feel so much more natural, like these characters have other things to worry about rather than following or staying with the main character just cuz they showed up.
Yeah, but she took the Ink Demon/Bendy with her. Since she and the Ink Demon were merged, the cycle spit them both out where Audrey began her adventure.

He is more of an antagonist turned protagonist. He started out antagonistic by bullying his little brother crying child (or Evan idk) and even killing him by pushing him into Fredbears mouth crushing his skull. We don't know if he intended to kill him or it was just an accident. When learning of his fathers murderous past he wants to set things right for his brother his sister who got killed by an accident William tried to prevent and all the victims that William killed
Keep in mind that everyone we saw had some form of ink except two people. Joey Drew who was a ghost of the system and Henry Stein who apparently was not created with ink. He was formed in a different way by Joey Drew so that he would be tormented forever. We then can speculate that no matter what revolutions happen within the world Joey Drew remains a voice and Henry Stein remains the physical form that can create change. He specifically is not of the ink. He has a destiny all separated from this world. The only reason that he wasn't able to do what his purpose was in this revolution was because an outside force interfered. No one planned for Wilson to show up and change the rules. Audrey just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and just happened to have magic or power connected to this world that she wasn't aware of. Now she's part of the system and can do whatever she likes in the world because she's like neo for the matrix. She retains her memories throughout the resets. She is the only one in this group of protagonists and antagonists that has free will. She could rule with an iron fist or with calm compassion but she is still of the ink and in that she's just one of them. She's not a superhero. She can be destroyed the same as they can but Joey Drew is intangible and Henry Stein is invulnerable.
Good points. Though about Henry, I wouldn't exaggerate his survivability. Cause if the 3rd installment features a scene where Henry Stein gets killed, I'm just sayin'.
Dark revival was a lot more optimistic than I thought it would turn out... Both in game and in story as it hints that there may be a good ending in the end.

I’m so glad this game finally came out. I loved Security Breach, but this game was definitely way better. No bugs, full story, and it was ACTUALLY scary, I flinched at every jumpscare on my first watchthrough
You didn't mention that Betty is definitely a prototype for Shipahoy Dudley. Her outfit, her hat, and her hair match his, and she mentions that she's a failed experiment of Wilson's. I was flabbergasted when I realized that. I guess that's why Wilson realized he needed a soul for Dudley! Or maybe he killed someone in the real world to create her . . . idk, I just thought it was cool.
What gets me about all of this is that Wilson is literally just a deranged fanfic writer who wants to create the ultimate Mary Sue. That’s literally it. FFS, there is *literally* a “it’s my OC do not steal” message in this game! I’m kinda thinking it’s actually the biggest piece of foreshadowing!

She's gonna sideline already existing characters in the series, that's just how cool she is !! >:D There's this clearly not evil looking dude who deceives her but she will find her way in the end!! Considering the signed photo that Henry gave to Joey was signed "Your Best Pal," I think it's safe to say the one making the helpful notes is also Henry.

My personal theory about Heidi is that she might be the secretary mentioned in Steve’s audio log. He liked the secretary, and Heidi seems to be friends with his ink form. Just something I thought would be cute.
What a wonderful game! This is the kind of sequence I like: it expands the story, provides answers, introduces new mechanics and, above all, doesn't mind confirming some theories because it feels obliged to always surprise. Not to mention the references to the original and other games that served as inspiration without looking like a copy. We like to get some things right and receive something beyond what we imagined about others. I've never been so happy with a sequel, you can see the team's effort and love for this project. Personally, I think Bendy/The Ink Demon is a physical manifestation of Joey Drew's will inside the machine. The Demon is a force of wrath and rage, designed to torture his victims over and over again. But Joey, thanks to Allison and his daughter Audrey, grew soft and created Allison Angel, which brought mercy and kindness into the realm. With Audrey's presence, Bendy can be his true, kind self instead of the scared and angry monster. My reason? Both times you meet with Joey, after he disappears, the next entity you meet is *always* Bendy, once as Baby Bendy (the first meeting) then the Demon after Audrey rebukes him and storms off.
So I suppose it has been revealed that Audrey DID return back into the real world with Bendy by her side. Hearing HorrorBro explaining it, better makes it a whole lot more to understand. Thanks to him, I finally understood the entire plot of the story and the many twists and secrets within.
This game was definitely better than Security Breach! It tied everything from the first game to this game in a neat little bow. This was definitely worth the wait for 4 years! ❤
I think its hard to say as these 2 games are rather different. Security breach kind of veered away from the whole horror aspect while this one keep it at the forefront. I think both of them are good for different reasons.
I just came to a very tragic realisation. These are the Ink Demon's words to Audrey: "You have nothing. You are without purpose. Your very existence was a terrible lie. You're a mistake. A monster. Like me." Not just in the final words, but throughout the entire speech, the Demon is talking about himself.
Fun fact: beaat bendies from the 2 games are pretty different actually. In the old game both bendy's forms had broken legs, so in beast form he had to walk by fist, but in this game, either by evolving or by merging with audrey im not sure, his beast form actually gets normal legs to walk on.
I'm surprised you didn't mention Audrey's comment about 'Joey's world breaking through into our own', as it seems like a pretty important plot point that the follow-up will have to address (will people be dragged into this world like Audrey was; will Gent try to hamper or accelerate this process; will the real world become aware of the existence of a parallel dimension, etc.). Oh, well - material for another video, perhaps!

I really hope there will be a third game with the description you said; it would be an amazing way to continue the story! I'm so proud of how this franchise grew, it was miraculous to be there from the start of its release from Gamejolt. A beautifully unique and an utter masterpiece.
I like to think the actual Henry is still alive with his family but with some knowledge of what happened at the studio. Like he would well past his 40’s at this point but could provide some aid to Audrey and maybe even teach her about Joey outside of the studio.
I remember watching the original game when it was released, and looking back you can tell just how much the developers worked to make bendy's world even better. It is awesome to see Henry put into this game since we never really got to see his appearance in the original, and it is sad to know that he is still trapped in the cycle... poor guy. Thx for covering and playing the story of this game. After so long it is finally here!
I find this game took some of the problems the first game had and improved upon them. While the first game will always be special, I think it safe to say this one is just better in almost every way.
@@Sherman_Tank I mean, the whole point is that Joey made them to be his playthings to take out his stress and emotions out on his own world, and we do know that Ink Henry and Allison still have their own goals and feelings even if they aren't the originals.
I like that he theorised that Henry was trapped by someone from the tapes released in 2019. This was the first think I thought about when I found Henry in the game. This isn't his only theory proven true from the 2019 trailers
I do think it'd be cool that the Gent Corporation would be the next big bad. Considering we do see the ink machine being taken away in a truck that is owned by the Gent company, I wouldn't be surprised if we learn more about the Gent company, and what they're up to.
Now that they're looking into the recent merger of both worlds, GENT will proceed with this experiment they see will be a "breakthrough", all the while they send their speciality staff to reseize almost every inky folk to be incarcerated and experimented on.
Imagine the Gent corporation is connected to other horror games. Like those with corporations in other games but in every different games, they change their name-
I have a feeling that the way Bendy switches from Demon Bendy and his cute self depends on his emotional state. I remember watching a documentary on how intrusive thoughts can trick someone into changing their perspective.
All the little details that they covered in the beginning of the game that made more sense at the end is just mind blowing. I remember thinking how Audrey's hands were just so odd in the opening, but after seeing the end it made so much sense. The devil is surely in the details 👏

In overall i like this Retcon. The original angle of everyone being twisted experiments with the dead was rather cliché, the new angle of it all being the dark twisted creation by an artist in a dark place is far more fitting with the aesthetic theme itself. I do disagree with the notion of the world breaking down by the cycles. The world we move through had the cycle disrupted for over 200 days and i would theorize that THIS bending of reality beyond Joey Drew's original design is what was destabilizing everything. That the cycle resets and also renews.
nice general covering of the overall story. I've been thinking about the implications for Henry and Allison. Henry is referred to as a version, Implying that he's a duplicate and not the original, and I think this would go for Angel Allison as well. Speaking of Allison, there's also the implication that the original cycle did not include her until after Drew had built his friendship with Pendel. I think before Allison there was no happy end, Henry was meant to die by Alice's hand at the end of the colossus of wonders

Just a thought, but the name Audrey. Possibly a reference to the well-known actress Audrey Hepburn. Also Hepburn is believed to have been an inspiration for the character of Belle from Disney’s Beauty And the Beast. If this is so, then that makes Bendy the stand-in for The Beast.
The theme of a cycle that gets more breaks down the world with each repeat is reminiscent of dark souls story. I'm super into this concept and will have to give this game a try.
Gotta say, this game was a pleasant surprise. It looks like those four years of delay were put to good use, this game feels much more properly planned out and detailed than even the final iteration of the first.

I loved this new chapter in the story. The characters introduced were all amazing, Wilson, although being the most "I am the villain" character I've ever seen, is effective nonetheless, and none of the returning characters feel shoehorned in. It also fixed a lot of lore issues for me. For example, I used to think "Henry walked into the studio, saw it in _that_ state, and decided to keep going?" But now I know that this was never Dumb Character Syndrome, he simply never had a choice. My only real gripe was that we got absolutely no Sammy Lawrence action. I expected hum to be alive, considering he's already died about 4 times canonically, with 2 happening on-screen, 1 happening off-screen, and 1 happening before the events of BATIM. I just expected him to have a big role, I expected him yo go through an arc once he realises that this demon, this creature he worships and blindly hopes will set him free, has fallen victim to Wilson and is, despite all his power, just another suffering mess stuck inside an infinite loop. So, yeah, a bit of wasted potential, and I was hoping to see Boris come back (not Tom, my main man) but deep down I never expected it, as the first game really nailed in the fact that the deaths of Borises are a lot more permanent than the deaths of anyone else. Overall, great experience, I would like more but I know that'll take another long while, how I yearn for the days when I first discovered this game.

Some cool details I noticed in the Keepers’ Lair include that Henry’s cell number is 414, a recurring number in the Bendy lore, and the Lens of Truth Henry used being displayed along with other tools Henry used to reset the cycle.
It was a nice touch at the end.The projector what audrey used to reset everything is the projectionists head.He got killed by the ink demon and now he is the reason why the ink demon failed
karmatic justice, he took the projectionists head, so he paved the way to ultimate victory for another. is it just me, but was he also used at the end of the first game? the ink demon did take his head & body as a trophy. either way, we only knew him from chasing henry. the man deserves the praise for the sacrifice at the very least.
I find it funny that he said that Wilson at first seemed more friendly. To me, he always seemed like a creep, he just became a creep in a different way.

I actually think Alice Angel actually kills him at the end of chapter 4 than the cycle repeats back to chapter 1 I may have forgotten some details since I just continue the last of the video but I remember Joey drew added Allison to the cycle as hope for Henry which eventually created chapter 5 ending

So if Henry kept on being killed time and time again every time he cycled, presumably by the ink demon or Alice angel, what point in the game would he have canonically died before Joey added Audrey and Tom? Would he have just died from Alice Angel attacking him after he beats Brute Boris because as Alice charges toward him, that’s the moment Allison would save Henry? Or does he die earlier by the Ink Demon’s hand?
To say this was amazing would be an understatement. After years of waiting, BENDY gets the conclusion he deserved while playing a trail for a future game.
I hope the next game talks about Henry's backstory somehow, because I feel like we know almost absolutely nothing about him. Also, he needs a redemption arch after spending the majority of the time moping on a chair.
This game was most certainly worth the wait. I got into your channel because of Bendy. Ever since, I have been eager for any new theory, playthrough, news, and anything involving horror games. I have become kind of obsessive with them. So seeing you play Bendy and the Dark Revival shows how far you have come in content and how far we have all come. I can't wait to see what is in stored for Bendy and where the story will go.
I hope they are planning on making a third game. If they are, I would love to see two parts of it. One story that takes place in the real world with Audrey and a second part in the rebuilt studio with Henry.
One fun little detail, when the end is played, the projectionists scream can be heard, meaning that Henry broke out and used the projectionists head to start anew
I’ve just realized something. Both Porter and Heidi (however you spell her name) give Audrey an ability based on their names! Porter gives Audrey the teleport ability Heidi is a bit of a stretch but she gives Audrey the ability to “hide” in those link tunnels to access past areas!
Also, one of the big twist in this Game is the fact the Henry we Play in BATIM was never the Real One. He was a Fictional Construct based on the Real Henry.

This game was awesome, the only thing I wanted more was to have sammy play a bigger role because of all the notes seemingly being left seemingly by him referencing that he still worships the ink demon which I thought might lead to a choice in joining wilson or sammy (and personally he is one of my favorite characters). If there is another game maybe it could do something like switching between the real and the inky world and Audrey could bring other characters like allison or sammy into (or back to) the real world.

The game actually implies that it was Audrey who released the Ink Demon from his Bendy form, when she zapped him with her hand, weakening the seal Wilson and the Keepers put on him.

I think that the Ink Demon was switching to his Bendy form from time to time because, at his core, he still wanted to be what Drew created him. He wanted a purpose. He wanted to be loved by his creator - and it seems that he was jealous of Audrey, the perfect creation, for having a purpose and getting recognition while he was locked away and tortured. His final speech, "You're a mistake, a monster. Like me" kinda gives that away and makes him look like a neglected, abused child, angry about his younger sister getting all the love and care from his parents, while he never did.
So, lil Bendy is the manifestation of that child-like hope and curiosity he once had - maybe whatever horrible things Keepers did to him made him remember that feeling and revert to it. As a side-effect, the Ink Demon started unknowingly reverting, either due to Keepers' tech or to some subconscious triggers. This is why I'm glad that Bendy finally got some kind of happy ending for himself by being effectively "reborn" into the real world with a big sis at his side. Who knows how he would have turned out if he had been treated decently by Drew and the rest.

I loved how in her final moments she seemed calm, shocked to see how perfect Allison's face was. And when Allison told her 'always were' it made me feel sympathy for Alice. She only wanted to be the best version of what she was, even if it meant destroying everything and one around her. She let her obsession control her life but finally found peace when she was later killed after all these years
I think Allison meant to say that Alice has always been beautiful, maybe not by the...symetrical and less deformed standards, but if she looked past thoes, really deep in herself, beauty was always there, both in soul and in body

I’m so glad that this actually made the story of both Bendy games make sense. The first game was cool, but clearly missing many cohesive pieces, and Dark Revival is absolutely stunning, but I struggled to understand what the actual storyline was. The fact that the Ink Machine is essentially a purgatory machine is NUTS. It all makes sense now, and it really makes me look at the games in a different light, and with far more admiration

To be fair, that is pretty much exactly what still happens in Dark Revival except instead of a slightly douchier Walt Disney playing god it's a pissed off janitor.
Everyone at first thought that this game was going to be darker than the original. But it was turned the opposite. This game showed Joey’s Created Daughter going through his creation and battling enemy just as Henry did before her. Plus it answered much of the questions, such as the Cycle. If there is another game, it may answer even more questions. Plus, the inky world is now safe from the ink demon and Wilson.
Hopefully there is another game. There might be one, since TheMeatly tweeted something like “we’re just getting started” or something like that.

I love it that Wilson is basically trying to hide away the originals who had a big purpose in the original cycle. I think that when Sammy Lawrence noticed that henry was familiar to him, it changed the cycle a bit. These characters knew what the cycle was and Wilson knew that if they were able to remember what the place was once like, they can break the cycle. Making Wilson powerless.
Not just Sammy, but also Alice Angel, pretty sure seeing her again would trigger a cycle or two for Henry. There has to be a thick binder of logs detailing a million cycles from the major to minor occurrences with long detailed notes about how to design a certain prison cell and why.

I wonder if Allison is mistaken about Tom being distrusting of strangers. In the first game he mentioned that he was not comfortable with what the Gent Co was doing for Joey Drew, but when he became part of the inky abyss it really struck him just how much he was partially responsible for. He helped the company create a Purgatory for the workers of Joey Drew Studios, and now it is difficult for him to be around anyone in the machine because every time he sees them he is faced with the reality of what he did to them. He has changed his ways, but he will never stop regretting his actions.

We are shown a letter in Joey's house at the end of the first game addressed after the closure in this video from Allison, who's now married to Tom. So neither of them are actually in the Ink world. We know Joey made a copy of Allison, I think Tom is a mix of that and maybe some imprinted memories from the real people (we know memories can be imprinted because of Joey's existence in BATDR)

I literally wanted to cry when I read the dialogue, especially when it says “using lengths of steel wire to cut into the side of his body, he now registers emotional responses. There were tears of ink documented. Screams of pain.” Like WHAT, I FELT BAD BEFORE BUT NOW I FEEL TEN TIMES WORSE😭! Bendy never deserved any of the stuff that he went through, he didn’t ask to be made and was never given a chance to be anything but a monster.

@@lj5545 Indeed, he was just harmlessly chilling in Thomas' office until Joey saw him and locked him up for being a "grinning thing" when in fact Bendy had no control over how he was made. It's no wonder that Bendy can relate to Audrey also being created as an ink creature between life and death.
The concept that Bendy learned to feel - not through human connection, but through torture - is pretty horrific. He goes from a soulless, speechless husk to a talking, feeling, intelligent creature by being put through unimaginable pain. That the personality he develops is one of hatred and vengeance is no surprise. Here is an idea: maybe "good Bendy" isn't an entirely novel personality at all. For the first time, Bendy is taken out of the body he was despised and stigmatised for and placed in the form Joey Drew originally intended for him. This might give him access to emotions he simply wasn't able to explore previously. So Bendy invents himself anew.
However, my question is whether the final "good Bendy" is really disconnected from the Ink Demon? Maybe Audrey has simply accepted him as the thing he is (after all, she's literally seen him from the inside).
I just want to hold and comfort him man.

Sammy is labeled as a cycle breaker for some reason.
I think this is because he has shown to remember past cycles. Based on previous theories we can conclude that Sammy wouldn’t recognize Henry (and even if he was he wouldn’t be able to tell if it was Henry due to the ink).
This makes him a cycle breaker by remembering past cycles.
Still…sad to see him done dirty in this game.

Between the books and the games, he’s definitely a well explored and discussed character, but i think we don’t have everything!

Alice Angel also might fall unto this cool lore basket with him. Because she knows Henry’s name, she knows who he is, she knows why he’s here (she says it herself in the first game) which implied she also remembered.
They are very cool. They have so much depth as characters compared to everyone else, and i love that.
We need content just about them. Not only do they share some cool lore snippits, like being cycle breakers. But they have history together. They have an implied relationship of sorts (all implications come from Alice’s dialogue).
I would pay so much for a book just about them, or from their perspectives.

I think the reason Sammy is titled a “Cycle Breaker” is because he was one of the people which lead Henry to break the cycle. Anyone who had helped Henry get to the point to reset the Cycle was taken just in case.

16:44 what I find kinda neat about this line in particular is that in BATIM, Allison says this same thing to Henry in chapter 5. Let me elaborate further on this. In chapter 4 of BATDR, we learned how Joey used to be bitter until an “Angel” came into his life, changed his perspective of things, and that “angel” was Allison Pendle. I think this just kinda plays into how Joey has now learned from some of his mistakes, and how much Allison made an impact in his life.
speaking of wich, seems like it is true the theory that the past versions of bendy are Canon, or that there are bad endings such as in chapter 4 alice angel catching you, as there supposedly wasn't an allison to kill the angel.

If they make a third game, I really hope they go the route of the Ink Demon siding with Audrey. Baby Bendy is already Audrey's friend, so imagine if, thanks to Audrey, Baby Bendy can now control the transformation between Ink Demon and cartoon. He'd be a great ally to have, especially since Audrey isn't treating him like how Joey, GENT, the Keepers, and Wilson treated him. While they all only saw the Ink Demon as a failure, a monster, and a mistake, Audrey sees the Ink Demon for what his is: an abused, tortured victim of circumstance who seems to only really want someone to accept him as a living creature, not as a soulless abomination.
Baby Bendy could even just be a sort of 2nd player, like in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser's Fury. Like Bowser Jr., maybe Baby Bendy could run around and help solve puzzles for Audrey since he's a cartoon, but in a battle, he can turn into the Ink Demon for short amounts of time to give Audrey some brawn alongside her brains. Baby Bendy probably won't end up "dying" like Audrey - maybe he just gets put to sleep if he runs out of health and Audrey has to bring him to a thick ink well or something to heal him. Ink Bendy's invincibility could even be like a sort of "Rage Mode," where the Ink Demon gets complete invulnerability for a few seconds in a battle and can wreak havoc on his enemies if he gets low on health. Not to mention Beast Bendy, being an invincible tank, could pose a great help for a final battle. Maybe it could be like the final battle in Bowser's Fury, where you have to chase down your adversary in the ink world as they speed away and Beast Bendy can go in for a hit.
I very much agree with this. Despite literally being the title character, Bendy himself hasn't really gotten much of a character arc of his own compared to Henry, Allison, Joey and Audrey. We already knew from the first game that Bendy was turned into a monster from being locked away and deemed a failure, not because he is inherently evil. Really hope we got more story starring the titular dancing demon becoming a hero rather than his namesake.
I love how he’s being called “baby bendy” it warms my heart and makes me tear up for some reason, it’s just so cute. And I Agree I really like the idea of a third game

That's a pretty amazing idea! Although I would probably leave the transformations between Bendy and the Ink Demon arbitrary and uncontrollable. If the Ink Demon became a "useable" character, it would take away a lot of his mystique. Playing as little Bendy might then be an even more interesting experience, since you would never know for how long his littleness will last. I do agree though that making the Ink Demon an ally (or at least a semi-ally) would be fantastic! Or maybe making him an imposing villain with a soft spot for Audrey.

Yknow, one thing a lot of people seem to dislike about the game is how some characters didn’t get enough screen time, but I kinda like it that way. It makes the environment feel so much more natural, like these characters have other things to worry about rather than following or staying with the main character just cuz they showed up.

Keep in mind that everyone we saw had some form of ink except two people. Joey Drew who was a ghost of the system and Henry Stein who apparently was not created with ink. He was formed in a different way by Joey Drew so that he would be tormented forever. We then can speculate that no matter what revolutions happen within the world Joey Drew remains a voice and Henry Stein remains the physical form that can create change. He specifically is not of the ink. He has a destiny all separated from this world. The only reason that he wasn't able to do what his purpose was in this revolution was because an outside force interfered. No one planned for Wilson to show up and change the rules. Audrey just happened to be in the wrong place at the wrong time and just happened to have magic or power connected to this world that she wasn't aware of. Now she's part of the system and can do whatever she likes in the world because she's like neo for the matrix. She retains her memories throughout the resets. She is the only one in this group of protagonists and antagonists that has free will. She could rule with an iron fist or with calm compassion but she is still of the ink and in that she's just one of them. She's not a superhero. She can be destroyed the same as they can but Joey Drew is intangible and Henry Stein is invulnerable.
Good points. Though about Henry, I wouldn't exaggerate his survivability. Cause if the 3rd installment features a scene where Henry Stein gets killed, I'm just sayin'.
Dark revival was a lot more optimistic than I thought it would turn out... Both in game and in story as it hints that there may be a good ending in the end.

I’m so glad this game finally came out. I loved Security Breach, but this game was definitely way better. No bugs, full story, and it was ACTUALLY scary, I flinched at every jumpscare on my first watchthrough

You didn't mention that Betty is definitely a prototype for Shipahoy Dudley. Her outfit, her hat, and her hair match his, and she mentions that she's a failed experiment of Wilson's. I was flabbergasted when I realized that. I guess that's why Wilson realized he needed a soul for Dudley! Or maybe he killed someone in the real world to create her . . . idk, I just thought it was cool.
What gets me about all of this is that Wilson is literally just a deranged fanfic writer who wants to create the ultimate Mary Sue. That’s literally it.

I swear Wilson is like the perfect villain for this game, creepy yet cunning in his ways til the very end where Audrey fight him off and wins.
*I gotta say, the developers REALLY did it with this one! They did an awesome job, a creative story, lovable and non-lovable characters, a few Creative plot twists and even a Teaser for the 3rd game!!*

My personal theory about Heidi is that she might be the secretary mentioned in Steve’s audio log. He liked the secretary, and Heidi seems to be friends with his ink form. Just something I thought would be cute.
What a wonderful game! This is the kind of sequence I like: it expands the story, provides answers, introduces new mechanics and, above all, doesn't mind confirming some theories because it feels obliged to always surprise. Not to mention the references to the original and other games that served as inspiration without looking like a copy. We like to get some things right and receive something beyond what we imagined about others. I've never been so happy with a sequel, you can see the team's effort and love for this project. Personally, I think Bendy/The Ink Demon is a physical manifestation of Joey Drew's will inside the machine. The Demon is a force of wrath and rage, designed to torture his victims over and over again. But Joey, thanks to Allison and his daughter Audrey, grew soft and created Allison Angel, which brought mercy and kindness into the realm. With Audrey's presence, Bendy can be his true, kind self instead of the scared and angry monster.
My reason? Both times you meet with Joey, after he disappears, the next entity you meet is *always* Bendy, once as Baby Bendy (the first meeting) then the Demon after Audrey rebukes him and storms off.
I never realised how much the graphics had improved in the game through out the years. Its incredible.
Because of Bendy and the Dark Revival, I've become even more in love with the series because of SuperHorrorBro! Thank you,SuperHorrorBro! :)
So I suppose it has been revealed that Audrey DID return back into the real world with Bendy by her side. Hearing HorrorBro explaining it, better makes it a whole lot more to understand. Thanks to him, I finally understood the entire plot of the story and the many twists and secrets within.
This game was definitely better than Security Breach! It tied everything from the first game to this game in a neat little bow. This was definitely worth the wait for 4 years! ❤

I think its hard to say as these 2 games are rather different. Security breach kind of veered away from the whole horror aspect while this one keep it at the forefront. I think both of them are good for different reasons.

I just came to a very tragic realisation. These are the Ink Demon's words to Audrey: "You have nothing. You are without purpose. Your very existence was a terrible lie. You're a mistake. A monster. Like me." Not just in the final words, but throughout the entire speech, the Demon is talking about himself.
Fun fact: beaat bendies from the 2 games are pretty different actually. In the old game both bendy's forms had broken legs, so in beast form he had to walk by fist, but in this game, either by evolving or by merging with audrey im not sure, his beast form actually gets normal legs to walk on.

I'm surprised you didn't mention Audrey's comment about 'Joey's world breaking through into our own', as it seems like a pretty important plot point that the follow-up will have to address (will people be dragged into this world like Audrey was; will Gent try to hamper or accelerate this process; will the real world become aware of the existence of a parallel dimension, etc.). Oh, well - material for another video, perhaps!

I really hope there will be a third game with the description you said; it would be an amazing way to continue the story! I'm so proud of how this franchise grew, it was miraculous to be there from the start of its release from Gamejolt. A beautifully unique and an utter masterpiece.
Mrs. Stokes, based on the bonus scene of the GENT corporation getting the ink machine back, there's no doubt a new chapter will be released.
And maybe... like BATDS, we may have to play as either Joey Drew or Baby Bendy.
I like to think the actual Henry is still alive with his family but with some knowledge of what happened at the studio.
Like he would well past his 40’s at this point but could provide some aid to Audrey and maybe even teach her about Joey outside of the studio.
I remember watching the original game when it was released, and looking back you can tell just how much the developers worked to make bendy's world even better. It is awesome to see Henry put into this game since we never really got to see his appearance in the original, and it is sad to know that he is still trapped in the cycle... poor guy. Thx for covering and playing the story of this game. After so long it is finally here!
I find this game took some of the problems the first game had and improved upon them. While the first game will always be special, I think it safe to say this one is just better in almost every way.

I like that he theorised that Henry was trapped by someone from the tapes released in 2019. This was the first think I thought about when I found Henry in the game. This isn't his only theory proven true from the 2019 trailers
I do think it'd be cool that the Gent Corporation would be the next big bad. Considering we do see the ink machine being taken away in a truck that is owned by the Gent company, I wouldn't be surprised if we learn more about the Gent company, and what they're up to.
Now that they're looking into the recent merger of both worlds, GENT will proceed with this experiment they see will be a "breakthrough", all the while they send their speciality staff to reseize almost every inky folk to be incarcerated and experimented on.
Imagine the Gent corporation is connected to other horror games. Like those with corporations in other games but in every different games, they change their name-

I have a feeling that the way Bendy switches from Demon Bendy and his cute self depends on his emotional state. I remember watching a documentary on how intrusive thoughts can trick someone into changing their perspective.
All the little details that they covered in the beginning of the game that made more sense at the end is just mind blowing. I remember thinking how Audrey's hands were just so odd in the opening, but after seeing the end it made so much sense. The devil is surely in the details 👏

Dude, I love these videos. Just get lost in this badass story for a few minutes, listening to someone who understands the lord explain it.
In overall i like this Retcon. The original angle of everyone being twisted experiments with the dead was rather cliché, the new angle of it all being the dark twisted creation by an artist in a dark place is far more fitting with the aesthetic theme itself.
I do disagree with the notion of the world breaking down by the cycles. The world we move through had the cycle disrupted for over 200 days and i would theorize that THIS bending of reality beyond Joey Drew's original design is what was destabilizing everything. That the cycle resets and also renews.
nice general covering of the overall story. I've been thinking about the implications for Henry and Allison. Henry is referred to as a version, Implying that he's a duplicate and not the original, and I think this would go for Angel Allison as well. Speaking of Allison, there's also the implication that the original cycle did not include her until after Drew had built his friendship with Pendel. I think before Allison there was no happy end, Henry was meant to die by Alice's hand at the end of the colossus of wonders

Just a thought, but the name Audrey. Possibly a reference to the well-known actress Audrey Hepburn. Also Hepburn is believed to have been an inspiration for the character of Belle from Disney’s Beauty And the Beast. If this is so, then that makes Bendy the stand-in for The Beast.
Not to mention markiplier said that since audrey became one with Bendy they were married, he was probably joking but yeah that.
The theme of a cycle that gets more breaks down the world with each repeat is reminiscent of dark souls story. I'm super into this concept and will have to give this game a try.
Gotta say, this game was a pleasant surprise. It looks like those four years of delay were put to good use, this game feels much more properly planned out and detailed than even the final iteration of the first.

I like how he finishes the game (any game) and then he gives us the lore,story,and character info he is really helpful bc I didn't know anything about it
I loved this new chapter in the story. The characters introduced were all amazing, Wilson, although being the most "I am the villain" character I've ever seen, is effective nonetheless, and none of the returning characters feel shoehorned in. It also fixed a lot of lore issues for me. For example, I used to think "Henry walked into the studio, saw it in _that_ state, and decided to keep going?" But now I know that this was never Dumb Character Syndrome, he simply never had a choice. My only real gripe was that we got absolutely no Sammy Lawrence action. I expected hum to be alive, considering he's already died about 4 times canonically, with 2 happening on-screen, 1 happening off-screen, and 1 happening before the events of BATIM. I just expected him to have a big role, I expected him yo go through an arc once he realises that this demon, this creature he worships and blindly hopes will set him free, has fallen victim to Wilson and is, despite all his power, just another suffering mess stuck inside an infinite loop. So, yeah, a bit of wasted potential, and I was hoping to see Boris come back (not Tom, my main man) but deep down I never expected it, as the first game really nailed in the fact that the deaths of Borises are a lot more permanent than the deaths of anyone else. Overall, great experience, I would like more but I know that'll take another long while, how I yearn for the days when I first discovered this game.

@@funnyfirefishfan On the Bendy Wiki page, it stated that since Henry was captured before the ending of the 2nd chapter, Buddy Boris never got to show himself and in this new cycle, he aimlessly wanders about onto floors walked before, including finding himself in the GENT building.
I like how the story was just as much about redemption for Joey Drew as it was about Audrey’s self discovery and growth
Some cool details I noticed in the Keepers’ Lair include that Henry’s cell number is 414, a recurring number in the Bendy lore, and the Lens of Truth Henry used being displayed along with other tools Henry used to reset the cycle.
It was a nice touch at the end.The projector what audrey used to reset everything is the projectionists head.He got killed by the ink demon and now he is the reason why the ink demon failed

I actually think Alice Angel actually kills him at the end of chapter 4 than the cycle repeats back to chapter 1
I may have forgotten some details since I just continue the last of the video but I remember Joey drew added Allison to the cycle as hope for Henry which eventually created chapter 5 ending

So if Henry kept on being killed time and time again every time he cycled, presumably by the ink demon or Alice angel, what point in the game would he have canonically died before Joey added Audrey and Tom? Would he have just died from Alice Angel attacking him after he beats Brute Boris because as Alice charges toward him, that’s the moment Allison would save Henry? Or does he die earlier by the Ink Demon’s hand?
I think she would’ve died by Alice Angel in chapter 4
To say this was amazing would be an understatement. After years of waiting, BENDY gets the conclusion he deserved while playing a trail for a future game.

I hope the next game talks about Henry's backstory somehow, because I feel like we know almost absolutely nothing about him. Also, he needs a redemption arch after spending the majority of the time moping on a chair.
This game was most certainly worth the wait. I got into your channel because of Bendy. Ever since, I have been eager for any new theory, playthrough, news, and anything involving horror games. I have become kind of obsessive with them. So seeing you play Bendy and the Dark Revival shows how far you have come in content and how far we have all come. I can't wait to see what is in stored for Bendy and where the story will go.
I hope they are planning on making a third game. If they are, I would love to see two parts of it. One story that takes place in the real world with Audrey and a second part in the rebuilt studio with Henry.
One fun little detail, when the end is played, the projectionists scream can be heard, meaning that Henry broke out and used the projectionists head to start anew

Also, one of the big twist in this Game is the fact the Henry we Play in BATIM was never the Real One. He was a Fictional Construct based on the Real Henry.

This game was awesome, the only thing I wanted more was to have sammy play a bigger role because of all the notes seemingly being left seemingly by him referencing that he still worships the ink demon which I thought might lead to a choice in joining wilson or sammy (and personally he is one of my favorite characters). If there is another game maybe it could do something like switching between the real and the inky world and Audrey could bring other characters like allison or sammy into (or back to) the real world.
Horrorbro makes it so entertaining to listen to story. Even if there was no background somehow it’d be entertaining.

If you look closely at Joey’s face when he says that a pencil and a dream isn’t enough, he smiles when he says “you have to have. Heart”. I think that by saying this he knew that the Demon stood no chance after Audrey heard this
