0-100mph there's not much between them on paper. Both not much over 5 secs to 100mph. The Tuono is lower geared too with more lower down torque so I'm not surprised. Tuono all day long for me but I'm biased 😉

Hmmm, I own a Tuono and my buddy has the S1000RR. Not sure how either of you ride, but something is off here. I can beat my buddy off the line every time. But after 150 meters, he's gone by me like I'm standing still. That's what an extra 37 HP and high gearing does. The only way you're keeping ahead of him is either you've got an over-bored 1100 V4 and it's now a 1200 with 200+ HP and gearing change, or he's just letting you win in the video for views. He's not redlining at any point in the video, and he's not running the gears properly to spank you. Nice clickbait. I love my Tuono, but it's not beating an S1000RR in this universe.
Yip my buddy has a s1000rr and I've a Tuono V4 1100 RR. His is stock and mine has an akra pipe and race ECU. Same as you bud, beat him off the line, then within seconds he's gone!🐎🏃
As a Tuono owner, I can say from experience that mine holds its own against most stock liter bikes up until about 140mph. Coming off turn 12 at NJMP out onto the straightaway those guys couldnt pass me, and I couldn’t pass them before the braking zone. I’ve also got a buddy with a ZX10r that has about 185whp, and I can’t catch him. He slowly pulls away, especially above 120mph.

I owned the S1000rr until 6 months ago and got Tuono. This accurate. The BMW comes into its own after about 8000rpm it’s designed for high rev race track. Once you hit 200kmh the BMW will kill the Tuono which is the speeds at track. But I can attest to that torque and it will kill bmw in low down revs.
do not forget that the tuono is a streetfigher without aerodynamic coverage ..and with less power than the corresponding superbike aprilia RSV so the difference would be bigger .. also in my opinion the important thing is to have a useful power from turn to turn corresponds to reality..and without reducing the value of the bmw of course ..
@@homehome6739 The tuono has more torque (120Nm vs 107 Nm), and revs out to 12K and has almost double the power of your bandit. and the bandit is significantly heavier. a dragrace between them wold have to be shot looking back from the tuono or using high magnification on a camera on the bandit. in short the bandit would be left almost standig still :-)
I have both bikes a 16 plate s1000rr and a 23 plate turono the aprilia has loads low down grunt is far from slow but this bm is in rain mode my s1000rr in slick mode lifts the front wheel at 130mph so this video is a bit weird lol
That's not exactly fair. The S1KRR is set for it's powerband to be at around 7K and up and it's stock gearing is so tall next to the Tuono. At least change the gearing on the S1KRR to give it more low to midrange punch since you guys aren't trying to reach 170+ mph anyway
