I was going to replace this tomorrow. You think I can remove it without taking the center console apart? Mine has barely ever worked even since the car was new...cheap junk
The clip is on the underside of the console, I doubt you’ll be able to reach it without damaging the retaining walls sadly. There’s a lip where the USB is that sticks out and holds the USB modules against the console so you can’t wedge a screwdriver from top or it would crack or break the plastic
@@georgemalley8123 Yes it worked after I replaced the module. Here's my thread on troubleshooting and eventually replacing it: www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=549888 Here's the part number for the one I bought, it was with a white exterior but I just swapped my black with it: 13509942 If you replace it, let it stay plugged in for a few hours at least for everything to get power and work. It took a little over 6 hours for my CarPlay to start working again after leaving it plugged in.
@@AH-wf5ri Remove console knee pads, two screws either side. Move both seats forward and remove screw cover on either side/remove screw. Then you can lift straight up with a little force

lmao, yea ever since i bought mine, my car play port has been so delicate n cheap
