I was going to replace this tomorrow. You think I can remove it without taking the center console apart? Mine has barely ever worked even since the car was new...cheap junk

The clip is on the underside of the console, I doubt you’ll be able to reach it without damaging the retaining walls sadly. There’s a lip where the USB is that sticks out and holds the USB modules against the console so you can’t wedge a screwdriver from top or it would crack or break the plastic

@@Bumbleboy92 so once you replaced it, did it work fine? Also, where and how much did you get the replacement for?

@@georgemalley8123 Yes it worked after I replaced the module.
Here's my thread on troubleshooting and eventually replacing it: www.camaro6.com/forums/showthread.php?t=549888
Here's the part number for the one I bought, it was with a white exterior but I just swapped my black with it: 13509942
If you replace it, let it stay plugged in for a few hours at least for everything to get power and work. It took a little over 6 hours for my CarPlay to start working again after leaving it plugged in.

Remove console knee pads, two screws either side. Move both seats forward and remove screw cover on either side/remove screw. Then you can lift straight up with a little force
