  • Monitoring your broadcast mix in real time without a separate studio is tough. But Waves Stream makes it easier to monitor wherever you are in low latency.

Hi. Our preferred way is to use sonobus.

Thanks for sharing. I mix ears and broadcast remotely sometimes. I use cleanfeed and a custom DSP routing solution.

Awesome video. Been using this method before waves stream ever came out with Reastream and also Sonobus.

Could you also consider doing a review of Audio over Wifi so that in many cases, the A2 mix position person who is another room mixing via a remote app could get the audio without running wires? That works well for someone in or near the building. Waves seems to solve for the A2 being remote such as at home mixing the audio over vpn to the church but listening “live”.

If you have enough bandwidth (I realize some churches are bandwidth limited for their stream), this works great in the same building.

how is the latency, can we use for live in ear monitoring? discarding the latency of audio routing from mixer to mac to daw and everything.

No it wouldn't work for playing music in time

In your case, wouldn’t you just use Presonus metro? Isn’t that easier?

Metro works with audio monitoring as long as long as you're not using USB audio back and forth with another program, as far as I understand it. So for churches who are using live vocal tuning over USB, it's not an option to use Metro. I know, I know, we can't have everything all the time :)
