Using Waves SuperRack Performer with the Midas MR18 and Behringer XR18

- Waves SuperRack Performer is a live real-time plugin processing program which allows the use of Waves Plugins live with your Behringer X-Air and Midas M-Air consoles. In this video I show you how to get the Behringer XR18 set up with Waves SuperRack Performer on your computer!
Waves SuperRack Performer will work with the Behringer X18, Behringer XR18, and the Midas MR18 along with many other digital consoles with multi-channel audio USB connections.

To tidy up the snake, the mounting ears are reversible, so the mixer can be reversed in the rack mount case. The front of the case has nothing but the flat face with the logo. The cables go into the back and the fan is inside the box, so very tidy. I have mine in a short roto molded 4 U rack mount case with a 1 U wireless receiver. Makes a very compact and portable case to protect the unit.

I'm using a studiolive series iii 16 with two NSB stage boxes.
I'd like to setup an AVB virtual soundcard like with Dante.
There aren't so many videos out there about this topic.
Typical use scenario would be running multitracks off a macbook into my mixer from the MacBook on stage.

Bought new XAir 18. Straight out of the box. Powering it up I see signal on every channel. Updated firmare and still see it

I havent yet had the necessity to, but I always imagined how it would go if I used the X18 as a stagebox and connect it to logic and send the processed stereo sum out the xair 18 again. Wouldnt that be kind of the same?

Hi Drew. i have alot of issues keeping my desk and laptop software connected(hardwired). The sofware keep disconnecting and then i have zero control. i love using my laptop to control everything. i have used cat6 and cat7 cables, also used a router. I have the same issues with mr18 and m32r desks. what can i do
couldnt you technically mix in Waves performer once routed the way you have it?
Does it have to be specifically Waves SuperRack running on an external computer or can it be just any VST host? From my understanding Waves is just a complete product but if you want to fiddle around a little more you could also use the same method with e.g. Reaper running the plugins in each channel, right?

Hi, Jorge. Ill try to find an answer to a same question, but unlucky - no, u couldn't. Those channels don't have usb return option as an input source.

If the input and output add 5 milliseconds of delay each, how much do the plugins add?
There is a chart in waves product website listing every plugin latency, starting from 0ms to several hundred
Could you make a video using SuperRack Performer with the Presonus 32.4.2 AI?
i do this with xr and ableton for synths and vocals go to xr mixer only..... so no latency .....i never seee no one do this why ?
i assume this could be replicated on a SQ or X/M32

yes but i think no 0.8 latency like if u had a waves card ..u can with 32 since it has card slot
that would work just fine. you would have to use SuperRack Soundgrid instead of SuperRack performer though.
but without waves card u will have 8 ms latencs not 0.8 like with card and x 32 so it makes no sense just get good computer
