- Welcome back to Phasmophobia! In the latest Phasmophobia Update the revenant received a HUGE BUFF! Which changed everything and it has made the Revenant the most dangerous and most terrifying ghost in the game. I absolutely love this change. It's super crazy and it has finally made the revenant the king of Phasmophobia again! What do you think?

The Revenant is like an ultimate predator now, stalking its prey until it finds it then chases it down.

Revenants be ZOOMING now! So happy this ghost finally got some love from devs, since I absolutely adore all old memes about when evidences reveal this ghost type, and players just like "Well, we are doomed" XD❤
And that moment, when it's right behind you and not intending to slow down is like a dead sentence.
This Christmas update reminded how terrifying heavy footsteps were.. It's like a feeling of an utter doom, whenever they quickly approach.
I understand, that new footsteps, that share the same sound with players - are more tricky to hear and can fool players in multiplayer games, but they're not that ominous. Kinda wish they made a transition, that the more fast ghost moves - the louder and heavier its footsteps gets, as it rushes down the hall towards the player. Just as loud, as in this update, that would be absolutely terrifying and cool!

Would really enhance the feeling of terror that it gives you.
Best of both worlds would be having the current sounds for the footsteps when hunting, but turn into the heavy footfalls when in active pursuit of a player.

Revenant being this zooming beast it’s what we needed. Also, knowing that the Mimic can be a Rev among any other ghosts will make it more dangerous.
They should have a ghost that only has two evidence so you keep looking for the third one and everyone’s like (tf is this ghost doing)
Bonus points if they take away freezing from the shade so you HAVE to get writing and EMF which is annoying as all hell.

Would be kinda funny if there's a ghost with no evidence at all. A hyper active ghost, that does shit all around the location but does not leave any evidence besides a huge mess. (You could revampt the poltergeist to that i guess)

I normally don't think this game is scary but Revenant definitely makes this game %100 scarier.

Revenants are the one ghost type I never died to. I'm glad to see them not be so bad anymore. Still, Raijus will forever be the ghost type that kills me the most.

Revenant on Prison or Highschool can literally be almost impossible to beat and survive like how are you going to break line of sight twice on those maps

I remember in the olden days of yore (back in snail running days) that I would be very cautious telling my friends if the evidences were lining up to be a Revenant's. I was fearless with every other ghost, but never the Revenant.
Now I have more fears + extra for a Revenant
I have so many mixed emotions!
On one hand, I'm sitting here like holy crap that's terrifying! But then the jingling while he marathon races through the house is just...I choked on my spit from laughing too hard at that. I love the bells SO MUCH. lol.
The Revenant goes from 0% - 100% in 0.1 seconds. Beautiful showcase! Glad to see the rev's back in business baby! Thank you Insym 🎉
I still enjoy going back and playing mega old patches with my friends. The old rev was truly so scary cause you legit couldnt tell it was a rev unless you let it chase you

Insym I’ve found you ANOTHER no key glitch! (I will link the small video I took & post it on RUclips) I was loading into bleasedale with three other players. One of them had terrible internet and so I left my pc to get water. When I got back, the map was loaded and It was just me and someone who was walking around on the balcony. The door was already opened, and the game functioned exactly the same as the last no key challenge with two major differences. 1) It turns out that while we were loading in and someone had left, another player joined the LOBBY. So I was playing the game and being annoyed because nothing was happening while other people were waiting in the lobby. 2) because there were players in the lobby, I was able to be naturally hunted. (Maybe the sanity is always considered zero until you get in a map?) However, after pulling the voodoo doll pins I noticed that sanity still didn’t drain. The glitch is very time sensitive, but if you have a particularly laggy friend I bet you could pull this off. I will note that I am unsure exactly what maps this works on and if it allows other difficulties (we were doing the cookie thingy) I basically just took a video as fast as I could then rushed to tell you. Sorry this is quite long, but if you do wind up reading this please note my only social platforms are RUclips twitch and steam. I’m sorry I care about my mental health. Have fun with it.

I really hope the voice+flashlight thing isn't a bug and if it is I hope it stays. It's so fun to play even though I die like an idiot because I'm bad. Plus the revenant deserves it after these months of being down in the gutter
I always try to listen to these videos while doing other things but I'm so behind with all these new updates for Phasmo which makes everything so much scarier to me haha

Thaye is also extremely terrifying. It basically drop kicks you when it gets line of sight.
I really love the darkness fading in and then fading out when the ghost starts hunting from the cookies. I assume this might be them testing it out for the horror 2.0 update, and I really hope this will get put in permanently at some point, it is a very nice visual affect that this game really needs to have and it's going really well.

My old love is back! I played on the new update yesterday and got Rev on Bleasdale, my favorite map. Couldnt be more perfect. I was so excited and so happy when I heard the Santa bells going crazy during the hunt 😂
Revs have been my favorite and I knew someday they will get the love they deserve. Now run!

It's absolutely terrifying if you hide (happened to us in prison ☠️) and just suddenly here the slow footsteps speeding up while you see absolutely nothing 🤣

The Twins acts like a Deogen. He knows exactly where you hide, quick you smudge him, then he go away the opposite direction.
+Camp Wood is still full of bugs, the cookies disappear on the map, then you find it again in the truck.
Hey insym, i'd like to suggest a change in the sort of preview that you put in the beginning, i think it'd be cool to just see your face reaction without the gameplay just so we can't expect when it happens with the gameplay! Maybe this is just personal taste but i believe i am not the only one to want it that way, it's fine if it doesn't change it'd just be a plus in my opinion, love the vids, love your vibe

The implementation of sprint was also a nerf to the rev ! Before it was almost impossible to lose line of sight because of that. This on top of the other ghosts speeding up as you said made the rev lose strenght
this reactivated my primal fear of the rev. getting evidence that narrowed it down to rev and like 1-2 other ghosts always put the fear of god in me, and god is the rev
Double comment coz i'd rather my other one stand on it's own. Lately I've been pretty hit and miss with Phasmophobia and content around it in general but this one for sure made my night! It's also super awesome to see you still playing and having a blast with the game! It makes me look forward to all the new experiences I'll have when I eventually return to it myself.

My very first game since the update, I also got a rev. They're kinda terrifying. I'm glad he ate the cookie when I was in the other room, so he didn't even chase me much.

I remember months ago, a friend asked me whats the most dangerous ghost in phasmophobia and i said revenant. Then i realize i played the game since the release. Many have been added and changed and its not the most dangerous ghost anymore but i still told her it is.
I love the "back in the day" stories, i died so many times on rev then later myling.
Had a rev in asylum 2 days ago; we had 3 candles and i suggested "lets turn of the candles and only use the flashlight as a lightsource" (we didnt have a hunt in a solid 10-15 minutes due to the candles)
Hunt starts, rev SPAWNS next to me, i died instantly, and my 3 friends also died so fast and the rev straightup whiped us out in like 10 seconds.

Use to be terrifying to go against a rev. Then for awhile it was like ehhh watever. So happy it's back to it's ass kicking, eye gouging glory!! I really wish they had like a Mrs. Clause model for the female ghosts though. Kinda sad they all turn into grandpa..

very late to this, but Revenant has always been my largest fear in this game, nothing brings you more dread than slowly realizing the pattern of evidence that you're following, and the thrill and intense terror of the stampeding footsteps when a revenant catches onto you. It has haunted me since the beginning and i am very glad to see it will continue to haunt me. LOVE LIVE THE KING BABY

Can you use your equipment as a smudge stick with a rev? e.g. the hunt starts, you turn on your flash light and then drop it, then it hunts to the flashlight, waits for a sec and then tries to search you out again.
I also think there should be a ghost skill that knocks things out of your hand, or even more scary, out of your off hand, so you might be there with your smudge and boom your lighter is gone
I can't wait to finally almost definitely not die more during hunts to a revenant! with all seriousness, I love the new revenant so much
