Agree it's tough getting a video out once a week. I'm 6mos behind in putting out a video....just lost the spark for now. I do get a few hours thru the week and have been gathering some cool parts. Hope to get one soon. Your doing great...keep it rolling.
@@crazycaseyscustoms maybe just me but I think the primer looks awesome. what’s the plan for paint? Looking forward to hearing the flattie run as well. Would love to build an A Coupe but bodies start at about $10k over here then when you throw in a chassis, engine etc. you’re looking at a $30-40k bit of kit so well out of my budget. I’ll just have to stick to my old minis.
I’m fond of the primer, too, @@748rum, but I do have a paint plan. I don’t know if you saw the early videos, but I was planning to bring back the sort of maroon/burgundy color, accented with the antique white that’s on the wheels. I think it will be a really cool paint job…I have a couple of tricks up my sleeve. It’s crazy to hear how expensive the cars are over there. I guess all of that shipping and import tax really adds up. Too bad…
I can empathize on what it takes to build a car. Even a simple hot rod is a lot of work. Add time for editing and producing videos and yeah we get it. Anything you can do is appreciated.
Well, like I said, @IowaMercMan, the flip side of that pressure to get the videos out, is that the projects are all progressing quite nicely. I’m certainly not complaining. Thank you.
Rockers look good, nice install Casey. I was telling you to use a large channel lock. Seats look 👍 good. You’ll like the aluminum flywheel. Have a Schiffer on my Flathead. Big difference from the steel one. Becomes very snappy 😁. Enjoyed watching. Well Casey, it never stops. Thinking about retirement and being able to spend all my time out here well,,,, doesn’t happen. Life still gets in the way. My goal was one video a week like yours. For a while there I was doing really good but past six months or so hasn’t been too kind to me. You enjoy yourself out there it’s mental therapy and it’s good for us. Just think, I’m 62 and I still play with blocks. Lol.👍👍👍🍻
Thanks for another informative video, appreciate the work that goes into the filming and editing. It is going to be a big day when the body is finally bolted down, my friend and I are just beginning on a spare time A V8 (probably two to three hours a week) so really appreciate you showing all the stuff that leads up to the final bolt down. Model A's are supposed to be simple but they are pretty complex when you have to start from next to nothing.
They can be quite complex. And to try and assemble them the way they WERE assembled (maybe not the EXACT way, like how I’m cheating with bolts instead of rivets in certain spots) makes them even more complex. I’m super stoked to hear that you’re finding my videos helpful, Gordon. Gives me all the positive reinforcement I need. Thank you.
Lance, I thought we figured out that we were brothers from other mothers years ago!? Hahaha! I am an AVG fan. My grandfather, who was also a hot rodder, flew for The Flying Tiger Line for more than two decades. He missed the war by a few years (he was learning to fly in the Army Air Corps when we dropped the bomb), but, as an aviator, he hooked up with a few of those guys after the war, and went to work for the freight company they created. The tattoo is in his honor. He died two years before I was born, so all I have are photographs, stories, and a couple mementos saved by family, and not taken by fires.
@@crazycaseyscustoms Well that confirms it then, right on, what a great heritage. I'm an AVG nerd, have been since I was really young. No to many out there so its exciting to find another one, haha. I have some good books on them.
Right on Lance! We’ll have to compare notes on the Tiger books. I have one that is about the Tiger Line, but none on the AVG. Anyway, that was my grandpa. His older brother flew 25’s in the Pacific, and then went on Captain a small fleet of 25’s owned by Hughes…still not sure WHY Hughes had a fleet of 25’s, as I’ve yet to actually read “Howard Hughes: Aviator”, but great Uncle John is mentioned in it a few times, @@SpeedandChromeTV.
Casey I'm building a 29 roadster, currently working with a brookville sub frame, did you assemble your sub frame? Would like to ask you questions about measurements

I’m trying, Boxcar! So far so good. Can’t wait to see what you come up with, too.
Nice work. ThE body is coming along well.
Thanks Simon! I’m starting to get excited about painting it.
