I just made my CNC plasma table and need to at least recover the cost of making this machine. Thank-you for posting all this, you have a great heart helping others out. I appreciate your work here.
Ive been doing these for a while and in that time of learning i had literally no one willing to share anything in terms of advice, files, cutting, or advertising. I have it down now but its great to see im not the only one out helping people. This channel is well worth liking and subscribing. Thanks for all you do! Ace
@aceengravings yeah... people are weird, haha. They don't wanna show people anything.. scared of competition, i guess. Idk. I like helping people succeed
I just want to say I really appreciate the advice. I just built a shop and was planning on building JD's plasma table and this video just motivated me even more.
@@tinmanmetalworks I am happy if at first I just break even. Get some practice and acquire some more skill set, then maybe start making a small profit.
Been running a cnc for a year from scratch, made my own machine, was thinking its now time to dive into plasma cutting. Excellent video will be looking forward to further vid's as they will be invaluable to me :)
Very solid video. Excellent demonstration, step by step results, and transparency. Thank you for taking the time to help the rest of us getting started or looking to advance.
I purchased the Gen 1 Crossfire in January 2019; I had trouble understanding what I needed to do so it set until about 3 weeks ago, I upgraded to Gen 2/xl table and downloaded Inkscape. Thank you for your videos, I now feel I can use the equipment using your advice.
@ronniedoyle7646 hey. Anything that I can do to help you be successful... I am glad to do. I learned everything the hard way for sure 😆. I want everyone to make money ! Thank you for watching 😉
Awesome, been working on getting better at using my Crossfire Pro. Kinda had to step back a bit, being the old dog I am in figuring out the works of it all. I'm using fusion 360 and I really don't have it down yet, have made a few items using it, and figured I could see what else there is out there to try since I'm doing sheet metal and all, this sounds and looks interesting,.....you gave positive encouragement. Thanks

Great info. Appreciate videos from folks actually doing this. Question for you; where are all the links you spoke about? You said you'd post them at the end of the video.

Love the video, very insperational! Currently making my own plasma table, well had most of the bits for 7 months, will be getting on with it now. Just wondered what thickness material you use?
@Group-Five-Industries thank you. I apologize. I have been alittle distracted lately. I am glad that you are up and running now! Hi bud great video just a quick question is the silver paint that you have used called the base coat as I can't see any other silver in this range, cheers mick uk
@tinmanmetalworks Hi thanks for the reply but what is the silver one that you have used in the video is it the base coat or a silver top coat many thanks mick.
I make mine out of 16 Gauge or 14 gauge ... 16 is fine though, Some people request thicker steel. I do powder coat mine as well. I have a 10x10x10 foot powder coat oven that I built myself after saving up some money that I made with my table. Powder coating is GREAT! The video is kind of based on doing it the simplest way possible. For those just starting out. My powder coat oven is so large because I now make flatbeds for pickup truck and need it that large for those. Thank you for commenting. I hope to see you in the future back on the channel.
Thanks, great video! What gauge do you typically use for a monogram? I just tried 16gauge and it turn out nice. For a 4’x8’ sheet of 16 gauge here in Canada it’s $120. I thought I heard you mention you paid $35 USD for a sheet? Thanks
Oh man, I have no idea haha. I use all kinds of fonts. I do have several cut ready fonts that I have made over the years. I really need to get some posted for you guys don't I ?!

IMHO, ask yourself how many you plan on making? If it's just this one, and It'll set it in the garage collecting what ever then probably not. Make cardboard patterns, and any fab shop can make it. But if you've got grinding dust in your veins by all means, buy one! You become more professional and productive Enjoy you'll be glad u did!
@billjacobs386 TBH I'd like to make money at it. I've been a tile setter for 24 years, which is the industry that a designer drain cover would be useful for. The back and knees would be thankful.
