Thanks buddy. That frame isn’t doing anything for safety of people in a wreck though. Way too low down.

It was just me making a mistake laying it all out. Nothing moved. None of it will be seen in the end anyways

Agree with you on the safety side of it. On the 47 I’m planning on keeping it most original but I have seat out of an Acura RL 2nd Gen for it. To over shoulder belts. But I didn’t grab the floor like you. Just belts, buckles, seats. But I was telling my daughter. These cars are not safe. So when I build the 48 Pontiac for you. You have to know it’s not a safe car. If you crash the front the hoods are know. To Decapitate people. Then showed her the 50s impala vs 2010 impala crash video. She doesn’t want the car now. So I can sell it instead of a his and hers. On Chevy and one Pontiac same body style. Which is fine cause she will get my fleetline anyway. So just going to have to knock it out the park. But for my hood I want to pancake it and have it open from the front with the fenders. The factory body I like but will weld the fenders in and extend them. Maybe remove drip rail but will figure that out for 2nd build. First will be ratty running and driving then figure out the night and suspension set up and mods. I don’t want to lay frame maybe 2-4” off the ground. With a four link. Already has a Nova front clip but like you. I would like to build my own frame similar to the one fatman made. Which I heard they just closed at the end of the year.

Man that’s awesome you’re educating her. I get so sick of hearing “they don’t build them like they use to” bc I reply “yea thank god they don’t”. Classics just aren’t safe. But when building them we can make them safer.

@ if you look t the stats about cars before the mid 60s. Survival in accidents is almost 50/50 with highway speeds. I don’t trust other drivers.

@cannednolan8194 yea and now I’m sure the stats of surviving are wayyyyy higher

@ could be but I feel anything from 60mph. They are not setup for it. If you watch autotopiaLA when they had the collision a few years ago. They where not even going highway speeds. Drive had a couple of breaks. The host and passenger lost some teeth and couple of other thing. Ps if you have not seen autotopiaLA not a bad channel. Show cases a lot of high end builds.

@cannednolan8194 love that channel! I turn off the videos when they start driving though and lose interest 😆
