@@Anne-mn9fs in the manga I think the text said something like “his heart was destroyed” (been a while since I read it) but in the anime at least, you can visibly see that the heart has just been punctured and then sutured together by two high ranking pro heroes. They were even doing CPR, it’s not totally unrealistic lol

They think Bakugo instantly died from that when the entire point of Edgeshot and Jeanist doing what they did was to PREVENT him from bleeding out which is what would’ve killed him. Death was just seemingly inevitable bc nobody knew how he could be saved from that happening. An instant death rarely ever happens bc the body doesn’t just instantly die in most cases. Most ppl think being shot in the head is an instant death but my mom had that happen to her and she’s still alive to tell the story with the scar and everything. As do multiple other ppl.
as a manga reader, i never really got where the hate comes from. it came from a pro hero with a quirk that makes the most sense and did people really think adults would just let a HIGH SCHOOLER die without doing anything? they're heroes, one thing they cannot do is let a kid die given that one of the show's main themes is to carve a path for the next generation
mirko was actually already missing an arm and a leg, so what shigaraki/afo took from her was her second arm, so currently she has no arms and one leg but still giving it her all

Its similar to how one for all was powerfull enough to damage deku's body when used at 100% I think bakugo's quirk became more powerfull and his already damaged body was not able to take it
