Professional Skimboarders Test Their Luck in Big Shorebreak: Cabo San Lucas, Mexico

- On a trip to Cabo San Lucas in early October I was hosted by my friend @Bullo90 who is one of the best skimboarders from Mexico. The Shorebreak in Cabo is like nowhere else in the world. It is known to swipe people off their feet and drag them out to sea. An experienced skimboarder can navigate these waves safely, but one slight mistake, and you could end up with a serious injury. If you are headed down to Cabo and are looking for some advice then Bullo is your guy. He also gives skimboarding lessons and iis an awesome person to experience Cabo with. This is literally the best skimboarding spot I have ever seen. Beautiful and the waves look super complex to ride. This spot is made for skimboarding.

@@SkidKids Man, I don't skimboard, surf, or anything really. Pretty sure I watched the whole thing, minus the second cliff walk. Very well done, love the music, the shots from the cliff down, editing, the whole package.
I stayed in Pedregal neighborhood once, which is close to this I think, was just searching youtube to see what the surf looked like on camera. A bunch of us got caught in a rip and it was pretty scary for a bunch of midwesterners in a shore break for the first time. Gott respect the ocean, as you already know. Are the resorts closed? Is that why you had to climb the rocks?

I'm 28 and just got into skimboarding and it is sooo sooo fun and addictive. Also Blair and the team really really inspire me a lot. Someone gave me his skimboard and now I am having my own skimboard. It's exciting whenever I got to be in the beach!

I was there in 1999 with my wife. We stayed at the Solmar hotel, we were the only ones on the beach every day for a week and the womp was perfect!!! It broke a little further out like 20 meters which made it perfect for womping big shore break barrels every day.
Is it nice on the north side of solmar?
So amazing... and it's crazy that they pull of these sweet rides knowing they are mostly likely going to get pounded in the grinder at the end.
