    Hey everyone in this video I take you to DDG Mapping in Manchester where my Focus ST Mk2 went for its first remap ( So I Thought),. as seen in my previous videos I have been modifying the ST to be able to have a Stage 2 map, unfortunately during the Map a unknown BOOST fault appeared meaning DDG where unable to pull all the horses from the engine, once I have rectified the issue I will be taking the car back to DDG for some tweaking to get the cars full potential from it.
    I highly recommend DDG for your custom mapping requirements, go and check them out and don't for get to mention the ECP RUclips Channel.

    DDG is just up the road from me so nice to get a look inside a tuner I've not considered previously and it's good that they health check the car too although you might find some expensive repairs. Just fitted some Bosch 440cc injectors and running mod XRS map, car is now insane, 3rd gear make me say “wow”every time.

      @ecp4538  5 лет назад

      @@zman86turbo the block mod is basically a piece of metal similar to the size and shape of a Stanley knife blade that is placed in a gap between the cylinders to help prevent a cracked liner, now these gaps in the first place where put there by Ford to help with cooling around the cylinders but by doing this they created a week spot in the liners which can crack, by fitting the shims in theory your strengthening the week spot, but also by putting the shims there your going to now reduce the cooling, the main reason the liners crack is when the cylinders become to hot and the heat cracks the liners where mentioned regardless of the block mod or not, there is always someone who knows someone thats liners have cracked and didn't have a block mod etc etc but the fact is if you don't let your engine over heat you more than likely wont have an issue regardless of what power your running, regular service oil change with good oil and keep checking the coolant level and that it has good additives mixed in you will be good, don't get wrong nothing is perfect and this is just my opinion but what ive said should make obvious since buddy Hope this helps

      @zman86turbo 5 лет назад +1

      ECP I have an st with the block mod, dream science stipulated that the shim stops the bubbling of the coolant which creates hot spots around the liners which then cracks them? Syvecs is the way forward for this for next level performance but it has a price ticket of £3k. Most maps are just loaded without the need to dyno. Cant be live mapped but still can be custom mapped in the same way as making any other different load up map available , the files can be changed and when changed then becomes custom to that vehicle . The process is just much more long winded .
