The s10 was the last Samsung that truly felt like a flagship smartphone, now their s20 series devices look identical to the A series

My main phone is the s10, and I also got a s23u ,, I don't like the s23u its too big,,,, the s24 is the same size as the s10 I'm going for that!!!!
The S10 and the S5 were the two Samsung devices that felt like the biggest push forward from the previous generation. When I look at this s24 I just feel like I'm looking at an S10 in different clothing. Same RAM as S10, 8GB. I know people will make a claim about the snapdragon being a later version but there really isn't anything that you will ever be doing on your phone where you will notice a major difference, its not like going from Windows XP to 11 in one jump. Incrementally better is all. I have an S10 and I am struggling to see any reason to upgrade to any of the newer generation phones. Albeit, the foldables are probably the one device that turns my head, but I'm not prepared to pay £1700 for one.
@@thebran6415 yeah true. Sadly my neighbor can't say the same. She is in her 70s and has an s10 that's on it's way out. The screen is horribly burned in, it runs terribly slow, and I'm pretty sure it might have a virus too. She doesn't want to upgrade bc she thinks the new ones are too expensive, but she doesn't realize that her phone was just as expensive.

Still using my S10+ bought back in 2019. No scratches, no dead pixel, no burn-ins, a new battery, an unlocked bootloader and a OneUI 5.1 custom rom and it feels like a 2024 phone 🥰

Until they bring back headphone sockets and microsd slots, Samsung flagships are over for me. Not holding my breath. Stubbornly sticking with my S10!

You took the words right out of my mouth! I'm actually so stubborn, I'm on my 3rd s10 because I like it so much and don't want to give up the features. I even have a company paid iPhone 14 that I barely use because I like my Samsung more!
If i didnt break my screen,i wouldn't be upgrading to the 24. The s10 was an incredible phone
S24 is better and will keep up with everything for long but... i still don't want any upgrade from s10 this phone feels so great

I had an s10+ for many years, fab phone, loved it. Just got an s24+ and I am very underwhelmed, I miss headphone jack and SD card facility. It does not seem like a quantum leap at all, a bit disappointed if I am honest.
yep i hear ya. S10 is a great phone and the headphone jack and sd slot are great features to have. Sadly modern phones seems to miss these out
Just upgraded from s10 to s24. After 5 yesrs. It was worth it. I LOVE it. Love 5G connectivity. Already turned it to a stock android. S24U is better but I prefer small phone
The final summary is telling people not to buy S10 without saying why. The speed alone? What about as a 2nd phone or a single purpose device?
"The S24 is the better phone in every way" yet the video proceeds to show how the S10 has more features, a higher resolution screen, SD card support, headphone jack, and a better design, all within the first minute. It's even got a heart rate & oxygen sensor! To me, the only benefits the S24 has over the s10 is the camera, battery life, screen brightness, and 5G capabilities. I really don't care about having a higher refresh rate on a phone. I prefer the higher resolution personality.

I'm sorry but I have a s10 and got caught up with changing it but looking at s24/23/22 , none are head turning do I want spend £700 or be in a contract for 2/3 years costing £30-£50 hell no , s10 is the best phone out of all of them , I don't care about chips unless they are from a chippy . In conclusion don't be fooled by the look this phone is 0.006 sec faster , never have I said I wish my s10 was a second quicker , what is that all about 😂
I really miss the side "pill" cutout. That is so much more aesthetically pleasing, and out of the way; and it looks more like a camera with it being in the corner ... and also doesn't interrupt the top status bar. bring back the side pill!!!

For me i am watching this on my s10 with my s24 besides me. I still like the s10
finally switching to s24 after a couple years with the s10 (my mom got it new in 2019). honestly, for being 5 years old it still works pretty well. the battery sucks now but i'll definitely miss having a headphone jack and an SD card 💔 the camera on the s10 takes pretty terrible indoor photos so i'm excited to see the improvement with the s24

I just got a refurb s10 and I love it! Honestly I don't care about software updates as long as the phone still works. The current software is perfectly fine for me. The only thing I have an issue with is battery life just like my s9 but I spend alot of time on my phone for work and in my free time so its always running pretty hard. What phone has the best battery life out of any smartphone? Thats what I need hahaha

S10 still feels like modern
The new leadership at samsung is most concerned with lowering production costs so the newer phones are going to have a more basic build quality inside and out.

Those curved edges on the S10 became an annoyance forcing me to install some half-baked apps that attempt to disable the curved region of the screen. Other than the curved edges, no complaints, great phone overall.
