  • This video is how to install a new Android 11 Head Unit or Multimedia Player and GPS Navigator, into a Jeep Cherokee (Liberty) 2003 KJ, 2.8 CRD, 150hp turbo diesel, 4x4. Just bought the Jeep a week or so ago and first thing for me was to replace the old school radio/cd player with a new Android head unit of some sort.
    Trying to find a compatible unit for this make and model is pretty hard, so I contacted the seller I bought my Peugeot 407 head unit from and asked if they had anything. These guys are awesome really. Answered straight away, gave me an option, said a unit was in stock in Czech Republic, so I bought one and two days later it was with me in Romania.
    I don't need a huge screen, just enough to navigate on, play music etc and take phone calls. This unit is generic and is 1 Din and fits into the housing perfectly with a pretty easy install. You should have it installed within 30 minutes easily.
    There is only one screw securing the plastic face plate, hidden next to the cigarette lighter, then four Phillips Head (Star) screws holding the unit in, that's it. The kit also comes with converter cables depending on the leads from you old system, so no need to source extra cables.
    For clarity, what we did connect to the new unit included the Aerial Cable, GPS Satellite and Cable, USB connector, main power cable.
    This unit can be bought direct using the link below:
    www.aliexpress...
    The sellers store is LJDA:
    ljda.aliexpres...
    I suggest contacting them first with exact make and model and pictures of your dashboard and the unit and send those through.

      Hi my friend, yes the controls on the steering retain their normal function. The rest of the specs are in the comments section on the video, including a direct link to the seller and the unit. Thanks.

    The real questions is what is an Australian doing in Romania?

    • @BitsofEurope
      @BitsofEurope  Год назад +1

      I'm English Australian my friend, born in England, so Europe is home for me, that's number one. Number two, you do realise in this day and age people move and millions live in places other than the country of their birth. I wouldn't consider asking a Romanian in Australia why they are there, would just be rude, despite around 20,000 settling there. There are many expats who now call Romania home. I've discussed this before despite not wanting or needing to have to justify myself in a public forum, but you will hear my reasons in earlier videos. Pretty simple ones actually, love the country, love certain aspects of the way of life that we have lost sight of in some countries, like family first, religiously it's a place im at home with, and mainly because my partner is Romanian and we both choose to be here. So my question to you, why the question? Are you one of these Romanians who believes so little in their own country that they think it's strange someone from Australia would move here? I understand the problems here and the reasons Romanians leave to work elsewhere, but the grass is not always greener elsewhere. So my Romanian friends and family accept me for me. I hope if you move countries nobody asks 'so the real question is what is a Romanian doing in.....' Un an nou fericit.

      @@BitsofEurope Hello, my question was simply driven by curiosity and by the fact that you speak si highly of Romania. I've also lived in various parts of the world (Romania of course, Libya, Spain, England and now Australia) and I guess I was in the search of the best compromise to have a happy life for myself and family. The best compromise (for now, for me) is Australia and I think that there is a lot of similarities between genuine Aussies and genuine Romanians from the country side and that resides in the simplicity of looking at life. Enjoy Romania and have a glass of tzuica for me!
