Brad Mondo on the other hand is different is creating and putting his face on his brand even though he doesn't have a clue on what to do. There's been many complaints about Brad Mondo giving bad advices or half information to his audiences and don't take responsibility when those audience mess up their hair...
I've been waiting on this one. He seems nice and all but inexperienced with curly hair. I think he admires it but he's got a ways to go in getting the education. I'll never forgive him for deducting points on a curly girl for detangling her wet hair and I'm like, "You think she's supposed to do it while it's dryyyy?!?!" 😂
You are though and definitely can. I do it every week. All you need is oil or leave in conditioner.

@@StaciBlu sure for some people that may work. But for me and my coils, if I ever tried to detangle on dry hair the amount that would be on the floor would be unreal lol. I'll continue detangling while saturated.
@@StaciBlu Also not everything it's a one fits all. Like with hair textures type 3-4 wetting the hair is HOW you're supposed to do it because it we don't it breaks off. Even if you're gentle. Wetting the hair makes curled more manageable and easier to work with. Idk where you got your knowledge but it might work for hair types 1-2. Not everyone one

The hair gloss works on 3C high density, low porosity hair :) I am in love with it (when I leave my hair curly, natural or straight)! The hair gloss doesn't get enough promo on textured hair! Send those to influencers!

I like Brad. His videos are funny. He doesn’t really do curly hair well but I don’t watch his videos for advice on my curly hair.

Me too. I like the fact that Brad is clear he doesn’t have experience with curly girls but he still enjoys watching the process. And he is genuinely curious which is good.
He’s not the best at styling and not knowledgeable on curly to coily hair. I think he’s still funny and gives good advice for color, but that’s the only reason why I watch.
Brad Mondos reviews are fun but it’s clear he appreciates textured hair but doesn’t have experience with textured hair.
He probably sent that package to see what you’re reaction would be to his products, so I wouldn’t be surprised if in a few month or even a year he comes out with more products catered to curly hair. He’s been trying very hard to understand our hair, I love his efforts but I almost just want him to sit this one out.
He doesn't try in my opinion. He ignores the actual experts who give scientific data and proof on what to do for curly/wavy hair. He also says the people who ARE experts in curly hair are wrong. I like Brad but I lost respect for him for ignoring people like Manes by Mell or saying she is wrong in her methods. He actually did a video about hair myths and she was shown in a clip and he said she was wrong. She actually backs up what she says so there is NO reason for him to say she is wrong. He doesn't understand and doesn't TRY to understand. He actually DOES need to learn and come out and admit that he is wrong when questioning the experts. He is trying to use straight hair methods for curly/wavy haired people and claims these methods will work for them when they don't. You know, like don't brush hair wet. So I like him but he needs to just admit that he is wrong and to STOP saying these methods will work for ALL hair types when they don't. What works for some people won't work for others. The same for his products. In my opinion they are over glorified and overpriced generic crap that you can get at regular stores for much cheaper. Period.
Idk when that was, but I’m talking about as of lately, he’s trying by learning how to braid, watch natural hair videos shit even miss maniquinn is black, but like I said I’m glad he’s learning but he can sit this one out
@@niyahharris384 The video was a couple of months ago. I did see his other videos where he was attempting braids so I do give him props there BUT like I said, he basically said these people like Mell are wrong giving out info on curly/wavy hair. She backs her claims up with data in her videos. So there's no reason why he a professional hairstylist would say she is wrong. He doesn't admit that he was wrong in the methods he gives because he assumes his methods will work for every hair type when they won't. Curly/wavy hair is not the same as straight hair. That's why I said what I said. It's the not coming out afterwards and admitting that he was wrong in saying she as well as other people know what they are talking about when it comes to methods we have to do versus straight haired methods. Everyone was telling him how wrong he was in the comments and how ignorant he was to say they are giving wrong info when he doesn't understand curly/wavy hair himself. His products are just generic in my opinion and don't make a difference versus any other product that you can find in stores. He may try to release more stuff for curly/wavy hair but I think he is going to go in with a straight hair approach if that makes sense to you. Usually people who have never dealt with wavy or curly hair and who release products claiming it will work for them won't fully invest in what will actually work for wavy/curly hair. They have this works for straight hair so it must work for curly/wavy hair type of thinking when creating products. But that's my opinion. I hope he will get educated and will come out and admit that their methods DO work is what I'm saying. Hope that helps.

i loveee brad, but i watch him purely for entertainment and not for advice on my curly hair. i think if you're looking to bleach and color your hair, then yes you can take his advice there because he's really knowledgeable and it def helped me when i bleached my hair for the first time myself
Brad Mondo is cool he has some good hair cutting tutorials. Personally I’d rather see a review on Deeper Than Hair she has taught me so much but I wonder if her products are a real holy grail or if it’s just a matter of technique.
Technique. Black girl curls emphasize on techniques. Pretty much anything can wotk

I've always loved Brad's videos but I've been waiting on the curly girls to review the products. He definitely admires curly hair but he's still got some way to go on how to care for it.

Sulfates are usually only creating the lather which your brain associates with clean. Also he made them sulfate free because sulfates can strip color from hair and since he's also selling a direct dye color line he has to make sure his shampoos will work on that color line.

I love Brad's products. I've been using the Wave Tech, Glitterati, and Viper Smoothing oil since 2020! And I love them for wash n go's! I have tried this new collection yet, but it looks like I'm checking out that cream.

@@ChocolateThaiE wavy is a marketing word. More people are prone to buy products that say “wavy”. But his products do say curly, girl. He even says it’s for curly hair, but it clearly doesn’t work for type 4 hair.

Please educate the girls on sulfates!!!!! Usually do a double cleanse, with a sulfate and a moisturizing shampoo afterwards. However sulfates are so essential and for the health of one’s scalp and hair

I have that same bonnet dryer (and I've had it for YEARS) and it's amazing for portability and storage (and yes, that bonnet is large). I've also noticed silicones in a lot of products lately (the line will have no sulfates but the 'cones are present).

tbh brad has some NERVE making products for hair he JUST LEARNED about. like i remember watching him react to black ppl doing silk presses and he was shocked they used silicone based heat protectants. like....😑😑😑
To be fair it’s called wave tech for a reason. It was not formulated for type 4 hair at all.

Love Brad, and I found you while scrolling product reviews, thank you! I have really curly European hair, gets super frizzy, tangles super easy, giant ringlets like whole nine yards kinds of curly. Your review, for me, has been one of the most honest and I greatly appreciate it. I shampoo my hair before I condition though, and I noticed you conditioned first then shampooed. Is it a better method to do that?
You said you liked the foam, but if you got a ton of frizz when you separated, then it clearly didn't do what it was supposed to. I got a $6 styling foam (Bronner Bros. Wrapping Lotion Foam) that hooks me right up.

I started seeing breakage from my curl formers :/// at the top of my head. Idk if I was pulling them out too hard or if my curls dimpled up wrong in the former and when pulling it off actually ended up putting too much tension on some places

Dimethicone can actually be removed with sulfate-free shampoos and even ACV, Curly Chemistry and Afope Atoyebi have videos on this. I just learned myself!
I learned that sulfate-free shampoo's can slow or stop build up, but can't necessarily remove it. But I'll do more research!
