Captain Steve, I was due to fly on Frontier from RDU to MSY Sunday evening. I ran into an insane TSA nightmare at RDU and it caused me to miss my flight by 5 minutes. When I arrived at the gate, the plane was there, but the boarding door and the flight was already closed.. Frontier was "kind" enough to rebook me from RDU to MSY via CLE Monday morning, with a 6 hour layover in Cleveland. There's just nothing like LCC travel, you just have to roll with it and keep on smiling. The aircraft for the flight I missed was Hugh the Manatee! So sad to not catch him.
TWA retro love it. Yeah convection was brewing out yonder with those building cumulus towers in the intro and later YES that wicked cool formation did resemble an owl!! Yeah possible tropical development going on in the western Gulf, as well as something to be watched off the SE coast. Very cool second location with those overhead takeoffs!!
Thanks. Yeah the owl was cool. Looked at the European and American Storm models they vary greatly. The US models showed Houston getting over 13” of rain!!!🌧️
Couldn’t message you in time, but son-in-law chartered a Breeze flight of Venezuelan team members to Kentucky this morning around 6:49 am. and back. Hope you caught it, but if not no big deal. He’s on reserve and doesn’t get notices very early. Nice retros by American and SW livery. Rocket ship had to let SW know that they are “all that” and just stand out of their way. Nice belly view of Foxy Moxie. Love the noise of all the belly flights. Have a nice Fathers Day!

It did pour in Tampa Friday night. Wife and I went to Seasons52 for dinner and it just unloaded when we went by the airport on the Vet. Of course I was staring at the 4 planes lined up on 19R not the road 😂😂 but it poured for a good hour.

plane spotting is a dangerous game, i had the El Al chase car point a uzi at me while plane spotting at kmia cause i was parked next to the runway watching aircraft, i had the armour plated boys jump me and a friend for plane spotting at ft lauderdale they asked us what we were doing and i pointed to the 30' sign painted on the wall the said "aviation viewing area" they were reluctant to let us go until BSO showed up they wanted to confiscate the memory cards from the cameras. be safe out there
