Such a delightful sight. It’s amazing the amount of speed you carry into the corner until apex..and the quite opposite for the golf R, from apex he just floor it and the haldex just straighten up the car and brutally push the car out of the corner..👏🏻👏🏻

That was a great battle! Did the Golf's tyres get a bit hot towards the end there or what happened? Love how in the third minute you can see just how incredibly bumpy the circuit can be...

Hallo Thilo. Da ich nen Clubsport fahre, überlege ich das Auto in Nürburgring reinzunehmen. Wie sind die Touristenfahrten in Arbeitstage? Zu viele Autos? Gefährlich? Am Wochenende weiss ich schon, dass es zu viel verkehr gibt und schnell kann man grundsätzlich nicht so oft fahren. Der Grund der Frage ist ganz klar, bei einem Unfall bin nicht sicher ob die Versicherung gilt ;) ja, ist wie der Autobahn, aber aber aber...
Servus, in der Woche über ist es schon etwas entspannter .. AABBEERRR eben leider abends nur 2 STunden offen .. und das ist das Problem. Im Sommer warten hier halt auch einige leute darauf um auf die STrecke zu kommen .. und da sich der Industrie Pool ab und an verspätet ... oder sich mal wieder ein Spezi in der ersten Rund abschiesst .. wird es dann auch eng. :) ,musst du probieren .. ;-) Versicherung ist ganz einfach .. da wird viel dummes zeug geredet und gepostet. Während der TF gilt normale Straßenverkehrsordnung, hier zahlt deine Versicherung, da es keine Veranstaltung zur Erzielung von Höchstgeschwindigkeit ist. Aber es gibt ein paar wenige Versicherung die explizit auch TF ausgeschlossen haben, hier musst du in deinen Versicherungsbedingungen reinschauen. Tricky wird es wenn man ein Problem mit einem ausländischen Fahrzeug bekommt .. die eigene Versicherung zahlt dann zuerstmal .. aber versucht es sich dann wieder zu holen .. viele Ausländische Versicherungen schliessen Nordschleife komplett aus .. sogar haftpflicht. ....ps: welcher Clubsport .. GT4 oder GTI? ;-))

Leider fahre ich nur den kleinen Clubsport, der Golf! Und zwar Stock, kann nicht mit dem Cupra mitspielen :)

Is also clear that the Seat Leon cupra wins because the seat has more power than a normal golf r, who would it be a golf r of hgp the Seat no Chanc
on the ring its not about power .. many more components are much more important ;)
In the track bro the 7R have the 4 motion with electronic LSD he have more grippe because the 4 motion in corners and the 8R are in other level because have 2 electronics one in front and one in the rear and have more power if he go with 8R its well be a incredible battle or the this cupra va new cupra its well be good

btw golf mk7 R has about 50hp wasted by haldex compare 2wd ;
and 100kg more than 2wd ;
so probably leon and golf do have , practically , the same wheel power

All 3 are "same", the driver will make the difference.
suggestion, don't just put 3 cams in one picture, switch between them. And you get way cooler vid! Nice drive!

I'd say all the credit has to go to the Golf R driver as you were definitely struggling to keep up and only did so because of traffic otherwise he would've been gone..The R is not the known for its handling so good achievement for it's driver.

Must have been watching a different one to me , cupra had a lot more speed and had to slow for the golf , tiff Done a head to head on a track in the uk , cupra was over a second a lap quicker than the golf
The Golf is fast but you drive faster.
jjclasicas only faster off the line cause of 4wd.. rolling race and the cupra wins every time

I have the 2014 model Estate. I have serviced it twice is now almost 70000 km Oil change and general checkup, no faults what so ever yet. Had it just over 2 years now.
You have the same engines, and you with the seat must be faster because of the AWD of the golf r on dry road... BTW, i saw you previous weekend at the ring, you entered the ring via breidscheid, if i see you again, can i ask you to take me with you to drive the ring?

Golf more power but much heavier. The Seat should wipe the floor with the AWD golf on the track. The Golf driver in this video was very good.
Der 7 .:R ist in der Tat schnell. Selten einen so schnellen gesehen. Eher gar nicht bisher. ;-)

I have the 280 model, its loads of fun on the general roads. Wheel spins alot if its slightly wet tho. first gear up to 90 kmh. you will have alot of fun beating common BMW AMG losers with sucker engines. :D

Why DSG? Look at the clubsport S nurburgring time... With a manual :)
dsg shifts much faster and efficient .. but manual is not so heavy .. :)
xthilox Das stimmt nicht ganz, meistens sind sogar die Automatik Getriebe leichter, siehe den neuen Alpine, da würde es auch aus gewichtsgründen verbaut.
Basic Cupra Estate is like 1200 KG.. Mine is a little more since i have the 19" bass in the boot. And some other tingles.

I dont hit my 6th gear until i pass like 200 kmh, and then its a rocket to 300+ kmh.
in Cupra mode, i am still in my 1st gear past 90 kmh. :D

xthilox well before the clubsport s Was born for us, it was already Running at Nurburgring to make the car better and get the trophy from the Type r. And I still think it is the clubsport s because of the roll cage "2.51" and the black stripes on the side bottom even though it was a good fight!

My Cupra Estate 2014 off the line is not "tuned" other than factory settings, and i beat Golf R 2014 AWD/4WD in top speed, but at par in acceleration.

What is that fat-ass Golf R doing at the 'Ring? Did they install traffic lights at some point? as that would give it one reason to be there... That guy has gone 400+ bhp yet he was taking some serious beating at the corners from the (lesser??) SEAT.
Stupid Haldex AWD with no lsd... Yet still in 2016 people believe all AWD systems are Mitsubishi EVO or Nissan GT-R and that they are good for fast corners, lol...

Sowohl der Golf als auch der Cupra sind nicht mehr original ... ein Cupra R wäre hier leider nur der 3. ;)
@@xthilox ja das kann sein das da was geändert wurde aber ich meine im originalen zustand der seat ist etwas leichter als der golf von daher auch schneller
