Frank was ahead of the game for a very long time and could have rained in the UFC for quite some time but he vacated the belt because of all this nonsense so one of the reasons why he left in the first place. I think I have to remember he owned and built. Strike Force to the point where UFC wanted to buy it out because it was such a good organization and then frankshim rocketed that while he was fighting in that organization, the guy is an absolute legend of the sport, he's done incredible amount of things.
History lesson for all the young fans... mma has come a long way. I remember showing Pride FC to all my friends trying to get them into mma. The perception back then was way different. There was more meaning to fights back in the day. Scott Coker made a big mistake selling/"partnering" with UFC. That was my mma show to watch... now it's buried... bellator failed to replace it.
I will never forget during that time when Carmen Electra went on as a guest on a late night show and they asked what she was up to and she said “oh nothing”. Made me cringe so hard :(

Some of my all-time favorite MMA matches featured Frank getting his ass kicked by the likes of Bas Rutten back in Pancrase and Cung Le later in Strikeforce. Gotta respect him, though... win or lose he made great matches by willingly trading shots with monsters.
